Benjamin Ortega was the director of the famous, "CBAN," was the only one that knew what was going on to supervise the "other SO CALLED teachers" in the Bible school classes IN ALL THE AA DISTRICTS!
So Valverde said, "the AA was broke and could not keep Ben Ortega any longer.!!!
The truth is that Benjamin Ortega knew too much, and Ole Sam and Daniel Sanchez and especially Pacheco.,,felt Biblically Threathen by Ortega who know THE Bible!!!
Valverde was told, "if there was no money to pay the personnell you fired., How come the money is there monthly for your $10,000.00
(ten thousand per month salary) and also for the other illeterite jerks of Wanna Get rich, $Ten Thousand dollars every four weeks salaaries. For all the Honorables?"
He said "thats the way it is".
And of course who is going to investigate this?
And also who is investigating the Sale of the AA's printing equipment, that cost so much sacrifice from other G.B. and efforts of the AA members.

Can someone explain on what basis Willie Mendoza sued the assembly? Was it a counter suit over the additional parcel of property next door to the Houston church? Was it for unlawful dismissal as pastor? Was it for his retirement money?
Also, if it was for his retirement; how does this impact future lawsuits against the AA by the other former plaintiffs? Can Baldemar, Solomon, Avila, Andrade, Zuniga and Torres all sue the AA for their retirement money?
Please inform us a few more details on the Willie Mendoza case so that we can know what is in store for the future of the AA. The AA currently has no insurance and would have to pay dollar for dollar for lawsuits and settlements. How is the assembly paying their attorney's who are on retainer?

Ask yourself. It is as good as asking Sanchez, because he will lie anyway. Sanchez and the other Good Ole boys really messed up there and it has cost the AA a bundle! Talk about lack of competence! The best of the best? Seems to me like it is the worst of the worst! What horrible leadership the AA has! The membership is been led like sheep to the slaughter! Praise the Lord bishops, pastors, ministers and apostolic laity!
I greet each of you in the wonderful Name of the Lord Jesus!
I want to state that I have not been very sympathetic up till this time to the plaintiffs who sued our beloved Assembly. I want to also state that I have never entered a single comment on the Apostolic Assembly blog. I do admit being cognizant of it's existence for some time and occasionally check for any valid information to confirm the many things I hear from my other direct sources.
I have been observing the events that have snowballed into where we now stand as an organization. I believe we are on the “brink” of catastrophe which cannot be reversed. The demise of this organization is approaching very quickly. We are now at the edge of the mountain and decimation will come to the Apostolic Assembly within a few years. What lies below is full destruction for our beloved church organization. Our organization in spite of all it’s past difiencies and imperfections always had one consistent theme, “To love one another”. Do you remember when the old timer’s like brother Nava would kiss each other with a holy kiss on the lips? There was nothing sensual about it; it was simply a manner of showing respect and following the Bible’s direction to greet each other with a holy kiss.
We have lost this same respect and love for one another. When this situation started from the 2006 elections, I thought it was all going to blow over. I thought the plaintiffs would come to their senses and withdraw their lawsuit. After all we are not supposed to sue our brothers. I kept telling myself “They won’t sue, they won’t sue”. After the plaintiffs sued I said they deserve to be removed because they sued. I really felt justified and appreciated Bishop Filipe Salazar’s comments that we should not be suing each other and that it was ungodly. I appreciated when Bishop Salvador Lopez stood up to pastor David Zuniga in the video we have all seen on the internet, that the Assembly has never sued anyone. I said “Yes” thank you brother Salvador for saying what I have been wanting to tell the plaintiffs “You should not have sued the Assembly” I defended the Assembly with many brethren who told me to take a stand against it. I was loyal and blindly believed our president and vice-president
As it turns out, the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, Inc. has been suing bishops, elders, pastors and ministers for many many years. So it turns out that the Assembly is saying “don’t sue us” but “we can sue you”. Why? Now I ask on what basis did the Apostolic Assembly dismiss the plaintiff’s “Because they sued?” Because they questioned the elections?

We as pastors are all to blame because we are worried about our pastorship status more than justice. I love our founding fathers like Patrick Henry who said “Give me liberty or give me death”. I believe many of our congregations have woken up to this truth that our apostolic leadership is not interested in the well being of anyone other than themselves. Many of the laity are beginning to question why they should remain and be a part of an organization that does not respect it’s own pastors.
I rest blame on two individuals, our bishop president and bishop vice-president. Even if Bishop Eddie Pacheco had wanted into the general board, it could only happen if Bishop Sanchez and Bishop Valverde collaborated together. They were the ones in charge. The next person in line was Bishop Solomon. Why didn’t Bishop Solomon join their skeem? Was he not worthy to be included?
Let me ask everyone another question. We wouldn’t be at this point if the president and vice president had not been so blatant on who they put in (Eddie Pacheco) as Secretary General. If you they didn’t like bishop Solomon they could have been half way decent in their skeem by putting in a credible person to take his place, like Bishop Adam Lopez, Bishop Salvador Lopez, Bishop Ishmael Arellano, Bishop Victor Prado. I understand not liking bishop Solomon. I understand that Bishop Solomon is an independent mind and was a “political” threat to them. (I know how Bishop Sanchez and bishop Valverde feel about Bishop Solomon) They have been at odds since he joined the general board.
It turns out that Sanchez and Valverde had skeemed this idea way ahead of the election morning. This plan was hatched outside of the General Offices in a secret location.
Let me ask you this question. What would have been the outcome and consequences of a true investigation? What would have happened if a investigative committee of former retired bishops and retired GB members had investigated this incident? What if it was determined that Bishop Sanchez and bishop Valverde were wrong in defrauding the votes of the pastorship?
Would they have been forced to resign and would they have left in shame without the possibility of ever serving as general board members? Could they have been stripped of their pastorships? Perhaps this is the reason they decided not to risk finding out at all costs. Therein we have the incredible vigorous fight that they have fought against even the innocent bishops like Baldemar Rodriguez and Bishop Abel Torres.
Bishop Sam Valverde has never passed the test of going through the process of being elected to sector elder or district bishop. He went from pastor to bishop in a very short time. He improperly stole the blessings of the process of becoming a bishop. Was he the only one? No there were many others. Have the others skeemed to remain on the board for so long?
May God have mercy on each of the members of this Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, Inc.

1. Samuel Valverde tienen desde los 80's como pastor de la Asamblea en la ciudad de Fontana, CA. y apenas hasta el ano pasado pudo construir un templo, algo grande pero no el mas grande en la Asamblea. Sin embargo hay otros pastores que nunca han estado en la mesa directiva nacional y nunca estaran porque no tienen la capacidad para desempenar bien ese puesto (de acuerdo a la mesa calificadora)
Pero estos pastores ya tienen templos construidos y pagados. Eso es capacidad.
Ahora, Samuel Valverde pudo construir su templo hasta hace un ano y no por su capacidad. El ha tomado ventaja que esta en la mesa directiva para construir su templo. Tome el tiempo y llamele al Hno. JC Rodriguez de Solana, CA donde utilizan su templo pagado, para poder financiar el templo de Samuel Valverde.
Eso si es capaciad!!!
Ahora les pido que lean el capitulo 4 del libro de Ester, pongan atencion al versiculo 13, posteriormente tengo algo que compartir.

Just a bit of AA and La Iglesia de Mexico's history:

The foreman saw this scenario, and immediately called the AA brothers and fired them on the spot.
Another incident was reported at the general convention in Phoenix, Arizona by a Bishop that two AA brothers met down town in the city of Santa Ana, here in California.
And that the sons of one of the AA Brothers seeing their father give the other AA Brother a "Holy Kiss in the mouth".
The sons of one of the AA brothers were so embarrased, because some of their school friends teased them about that incident.
The sons of the AA Brother that at time lived in Costa Mesa, during the 1950's never attended church again.
So it was decided in that convention that the "Holy Kiss" would be abolished, even though Paul had instructed the early churched to do so.
Realizing the differences in Cultural issues and the "coming out of the closet" of so many "QUEERS" and HOMOS. This practice would create a complete scandle.

In Mexico some do practice this custom but only between father and son, and even in that context its fround upon. The normal custom in Mexico is to kiss the hand of an elder (in the family) such as grandma or grandpa. or a great uncle or aunt. That is the Mexican custom in the rancho's mostly.
So it was a good day when the aa stop practicing this. And I'm sure it was the "holier then thou crowd" that did this.

We must all use the wisdom that God has bestowed upon us. Three things determine our Christianity. 1. Love for God 2. Love for your Neighbor 3. and Your fruits.
Regardless of the position you take you should view everything through the lens of these three things. Has the General board and the Plantiffs shown love for God?
We cannot see into a man's heart but we leave that to God. Second, have they loved one another?
The answer is no. Jesus said that the world would know if we are his disciples if we loved one another. We have not done this.
Last, does the Assembly and the plantiffs have fruits of repentance, love, joy,peace? Or one of contention, strife, jealousy?
I will leave you to answer that...Neither the GB or the plantiffs are perfect...the best thing we can do is keep our hearts pure...

Greetings Bishop President, Daniel G. Sanchez:
Honorable man of God, I want to tell you how much I love and appreciate you and your wonderful family. I pray constantly that each of you enjoy God’s marvelous grace.
I have known you and you have known me for many years. My family has worked along side your family in many capacities since the inception of this wonderful wonderful church organization. I saw you growing up until you entered the military service. I saw as you ascended the difficult ladder of ministerial success in the Apostolic Assembly. You have been a tremendous blessing to me and my family of many apostolic generations.
I know the events of the latest general board elections are very difficult for many to understand. It is complicated to say the least. There is so much information and disinformation distributed through many different forms, including but not limited to phone calls, one on one conversation with other pastors, emails, blogs, U-tube videos and other means. I know that it must burden you to hear misstated and misquoted information, because you truly love the work of the Lord.
I myself remain loyal to the Lord, to my wife, children, the Apostolic Assembly, to you my bishop president, the general board, district bishops, elders, pastors and my local congregation whom I humbly pastor. I am here to help build and serve God’s kingdom.
Your term of bishop president is quickly coming to a close and I would like for you to consider my proposal. I do not believe any bishop, elder or pastor can bring this proposal to the table, except you. You are the one that can bring this historical change and close your legacy on a strong and positive note. I believe history will not only judge you on one single event, but your entire term on the general board. However, if you accept this proposal, that has previously been circulated before regarding the electoral process; it will be the highlight of your presidency. You can change the course of history for the Apostolic Assembly like no other bishop president has done before you. You have the potential to propel this church organization from coming out of the ashes and stains of the past one hundred years, to be a shining beacon of light for all present and future apostolic generations to see.
I believe you have the fortitude to take a stand all by yourself and can impact the entire general board, if you are willing to take this final challenge.
My proposal may not go over very well with your other colleagues on the general board. I understand this very clearly because there may have to be some sacrifices. On the other hand, perhaps many under-estimate the reaction of the rest of the Mesa Directiva. I do believe there are some general board members who would be willing to submit and allow the integrity of the process determine whether they remain as part of the board or not. Yes there are risks that may not favor the current general board. However, this is a risk men of honesty, integrity and fortitude must take in order to raise our drowning church above the
sea-water-level, we cannot currently see.
It is said that with great leadership, comes great responsibility. Part of being a good leader is also making the tough and lonely choices. Every great leader who has ever aspired to do great things has been met with great challenges. How these leaders responded to those great challenges ultimately defined them forever. In other words, they are forever inscribed in the pages of history for those critical decisions made in difficult times, whether they made the right or the wrong choice.
You are about to meet your greatest challenge. The question is “will you step forward to meet this challenge?” I believe with all my heart that you are the man to stand in the gap for the integrity of this church.
I know that this electoral process proposal is nothing new to you. In fact, I know that you have contemplated this in the past. Because you had told other pastors and ministers about a similar plan for the electoral process.
Now is the time to proceed with this plan. You have a choice between two paths. The first is to stay the course of the inevitable succession of “musical chairs” and the handing over of power to the next board member “inline” to be bishop president and allow the system to continue in its present form. Or you have a second choice which will require every board member to be scrutinized through the proper electoral process as indicated in our church constitution and bylaws.
I have sat in many general convention elections from the San Diego Concord, El Siloe and others in San Jose, just like you have. I have seen the look on many pastor’s face when in frustration, they begin to roll their eyes because they know something went wrong behind the closed curtains or closed doors were a very obscure committee sits and makes questionable decisions. We could fix this problem with a little more openness that would allow the electoral process to have more integrity. Many times names of qualified candidates are dismissed and names of unqualified candidates emerge without explaination to the pastors. Surely, we can trust the pastors with an explanation why a candidate is disqualified I understand there is a process; however the process needs to be much more transparent. It still leaves too many questions unanswered.
The very fiber and integrity of our church is at stake and it will surely be determined at our next general electoral convention, November 2010.
I would ask that this proposal be brought up by you as the bishop president, to the bishops and leaders of our organization. I really believe that everyone will be in agreement we need to sacrifice our personal interest for the best interest of this beloved church organization.
You as our bishop president is the only person who can present this proposal and have it approved which would serve to correct the current flawed electoral process. We would be sending a message to the entire Apostolic Assembly that it will no longer be “business as usual” at our electoral conventions.
Your legacy will go from what many feel was starting to become a negative one to one that finishes on a positive note and perhaps even exceeds many of our past administrations.
I pray you accept this proposal. Please feel free to take it in its current form or restructure it to bring a higher level of openness and integrity to the electoral process. I remain anonymous and will continue anonymous to my death.

Fortino's first mistake is to say "I know that it must burden you to hear misstated and misquoted information, because you truly love the work of the Lord." The President has openly lied. Torres states that in several of his letters. Fortino knows Sanchez is a proven liar. Fortino is simply just looking for the "Road to the Whitehous." He knows very well that Sanchez has lied to him as well and will not allow him to be elected for anything on the board. He already knows Sanchez is mean and vengeful. He is crawling to see if he can get in Sanchez's good graces and at the same time he is trying to look good with the Pastors after he so clearly looked the other way when the heat was on. Rumors are that he was the one who insisted that Torres put in writing about about happened with the 2006 elections, then Fortino conveniently turned and looked the other way. He betrayed the plaintiffs and the AA he says he loves so much. No doubt whatsoever that he is a politician all the way just like Sanchez and his group of bandits. Fortino speaks out of both sides of his mouth. He threw the stone and hid his hand. Good luck kissing Sanchez's stinky feet, Fortino.

just a couple of observations re: letter from JFortino.
I am not sure if this is authentic but consider a few points:
1. It is dated August 17th, 2009. Could it be that this was leaked by someone who works or worked in the General offices? Did it ever make it to Sanchez desk? Could Valverde have kept the letter from Sanchez?
2. If it was Fortino that wrote it, he has some(very little with me) credibility when he says

Remember Fortino was the other GB member who was also short changed by Sanchez and Valverde in the 2006 elections and he has sacraficed himself by laying low and abiding by the mesa disqualificadora!

The letter is anonymous. Fortino didn't send it. He is too afraid to do something like that. He is protecting himself. He will never rock the boat.

The letter says that the person has known Sanchez since he was in the military. How could it be Fortino, if he was in Argentina? Fortino wasn't even born when Sanchez was shooting guns in the military. Now Sanchez is shooting AK rifles at everybody who opposes him in the AA.
The Impostor GB has now trumped up a new Plan of Action since a lot of the monies are not coming in anymore to pay there Jaguars and Benzies> One of the requirements is that all the properties be placed in the name of the AA. I wonder if it applies to Joelito Montes or is he exempt from all that rhetoric? His property is not yet in the name of the AA. Will he continue to receive an AA credential? So far, his misconduct has not affected him all these years. He continues to enjoy all the AA privileges and is even allowed to make runs at the GB positions. I wonder if they will allow him to run for President this next time?

The conference in North Texas will begin tomorrow night. I've been told that Pastor Abel Torres will be preaching on Friday evening and Pastor Baldemar Rodriguez will be preaching on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
I plan to be there.
I hear the AWA is getting lots of calls from pastors and ministers as well as missionaries who want to join this new organization including those who have recently left the AA.
I wish I could attend that Dallas Convention. I am too far away. If I had known ahead of time, I could have made flight arrangements to be there. We get the news late over here in California. Hope that info is dessiminated sooner next time. I am sure it is going to be a great activity.

Religion will always run its course without providing absolute satisfaction for the soul. That is the problem with the AAFCJ.
The founders took a truth that re-established a point of contact with the true faith and turned that one point into a religion by creating yet another hierarchical two-class believer religious system and inserting man-made rules and traditions into it.
How could the time not come when the system itself would fall into the hands of unethical men?
It is time to look beyond any man-made system to the One Faith delivered once to the saints.
Those who were burned by the events of the past few years in the AAFCJ have three choices:
1. They can remain within the corrupt system to try and "reform" it. (They might want to check on the success of the reformers who already tried that back in Luther's day.)
2. They can band together and create another "image to the beast" by starting another hierarchical structure (complete with roots of bitterness) that will inevitably suffer the same fate as this one.
3. They can start believing what the Bible says and discover the rest of the truth that is behind that one point discovered by the founders of the AAFCJ.
I know there is a remnant within the religion that will come out. I pray they do not delay. Time is of the essence and there are many things that need to be straightened out. It is time to proclaim: "Make straight the way of the Lord."

A couple years ago, my daughter and I were watching TV (she was about six back then). I was switching channels while I came across a Televangelist (I will watch once in a while to see what their preaching about). He started talking about Christianity.
Without saying a word my daughter blurts out “I am Christian”. I thought to myself “great, a debate”. I asked her, “How do you know”. Her response was “you and mom told me”. That’s the mentality of most of you Apostolics.
You think the salvation of the Lord is an “inheritance”. Family, friends, church members pressured you to get baptized, so you “joined the club.” The first step to salvation is acknowledging you are a “sinner” and in dire need of a “Savior”.
You wouldn’t believe the amount of times I here church member’s pressure the youth into getting baptized (joining the club). If “man” is not a “sinner” there is no need for a “savior “.
This problem were having in the Assembly is not the “leaders” it’s the “doctrine”.

I fully agree. It is the "doctrinal paradigm" that was established at the onset that is the real problem.
A good example of that is the interpretation most "Apostolics" give to the word Apostolic. In the denominational mindset, being Apostolic is being part of the AA, UPC, etc.
To be truly Apostolic, one would need to return to the precepts held by the Apostles and retrace the foundation laid by them before the advent of Catholicism in 325 AD. By the way, the foundation was laid by the Apostles upon the writings of the Prophets, not of the Nicene fathers. (Eph. 2:20)
That is why there is no way to "reform" this organization. It is established upon erroneous precepts. It can only compound its error with its growth.

It was so refreshing not to hear about Valverde, new Benza, nor the Megga buck to send on La Flor Azul!! for the Mega salaries.
It was worth coming from so far, that the Lord gave me the opportunity to attend, and meet so many wonderful and christian spirit filled persons.
So many Pastors that I knew from the Apostlic Assembly that are now, once and for all WORSHIPING THE LORD!!!
MY HOPES ARE THAT YOU WERE THERE ALSO. It was worth it because Texas is in the Hubs of the
Airports and that so many members and Pastors did not have have to transfer.,at the airports.,
and not have to pay soooooooooooooo much money on air fare and also drive to go to

I am hearing that the AWA convention in Dallas was a tremendous success. I hear that it was more successful than the AWA members themselves expected it to be. My contact from Dalls tells me that it started with a powerful message by Bishop Torres about moving on. I hear that the Lord moved in a mighty way. Bishop Rodriguez also preached an inspiring message. Looks like the AWA is here to stay. They are not going away like Sanchez and his band of GB crookes expected. I am also hearing that Sanchez said good-bye at the convention in South Texas, but it was very quiet. He got the impression that the people were glad he was going. In fact, they think he should have said good-bye about 3 and 1/2 years ago.
The legacy of Sanchez is "The Worst President the AA has had!" The only way he can erase the image is to ask forgivness on his knees to all the plaintiffs and to the many members of the AA that he his hurt with his dictatorial and devlish ways. What a stumbling block that man has been to Christianity as a whole! I would hate to be in his shoes when he stands before the Lord on Judgement Day! What will be his excuse that day?

IT is just that the AA thought that they could talk about those that had left all they wanted and try to discredit them.
They did this thinking nothing was ever going to happen that people were not going to stand up and defend these people.

Now they have began to see how their kingdom is falling right out from under them and now everyone is asking why is this happening. I am sorry that we did not go quietly into the night. Like everyone would have liked the AWA to.
There is a secular saying that says don't start nothing won't be nothing.
The AA board have sued people left and right throughout the years and now that it is falling from under neath them all there groupies start complaining.
The AA was never started out right. So how can we expect for it to correct itself.
IT is never going to happen. Time and time again we have seen even through history how those that are power hungry are never stopped until there is some time of intervention from an outside source we have even seen that since the beginning of the bible. That man messed up God's will time and time again.
Then God in his patience had to intervene to reset his will for his people.
Today is no different than back then man has messed up God's will and now God used a medium from this time to correct his church.
As long as we live we all have the opportunity to mess up God's will and that is not going to stop him from intervening.
Now many openly judge this men that may have had their goof ups but are trying to correct them.
The AA leadership does not do that. They mess up and continue to do so. The word of God even states for us to make peace with our brethren before we even go to court or he is likely to hand you over to the judge.
This is what has happened. We want God to move in our lives but many of us are so bitter that we do not allow God to move. So how is God going to move with bitter people answer he is not unless he shakes up the foundation and rebuilds again.
Now many judge these men but they judged them out of hate and in an envious spirit. Then you get mad at us for coming at you all when many of the AA people started this drama.
So what are we going to do are we going to bicker and fight for the next twenty years. The AA is destined to collapse it is not going to be able to be repaired. They are trying but it is not going to be able to work because it was not started out right to began with simple honest truth. Now these men have seen the errors of their ways and are trying to make a difference.
It was not right the way they were ran out of their buildings all because the GB wanted their way or no way. That was their fault but it was an even worse thing that you all as enlightened as many claim to did not see that from the get go. Instead you all started condemning the AWA all because they were willing to risk it all to make a changed. Now try as we might sometimes that is not going to change.
So why do we keep going after it do you all want to see them fall. Do you all wish they were destroyed. You are not happy that they GB did wrong but you all are not happy because these men wrong as they might have been made a difference. Everyone in here uses the word how it is applies only to support their opinions. Instead of trying to find a solution you all just brought up the negative side out of everyone. Now you tell us not to judge and calm down because it is against the bible when many times you have applied the bible only how you see fit.
Some Pastors might not seek God but neither do some members. I am no one to judge because even I can make mistakes I am just outlining the truth. It is up to you how you receive it.

Why is the AA trying to collect some money from the church who used to be known as Mt.Sinai in Houston, Texas? Where will they get those $75,000.00 dollars they owe them? Could it be the AA needs it to pay Willie Mendoza on the lawsuit they filed on him. Wait! I thought the AA never sued anyone! Will they lose the church too?
How about that letter the gb recently sent to all AA pastors practically threatening to start breaking knees if they don't come up with any past due tithes. Let's see I think they gave them a deadline of February 15 and if they don't pay up they will get a 30 day extension til March 15th and if that still doesn't happen its the AX MAN COMETH! Pastors will start getting replaced left and right. The gb is hurting for money big time.
The state of the economy has got to them really bad and they will squeeze the last dime out of the recession hit hermanos. I mean they have to keep up their lifestyles who cares about you.

I know Gunter what you mean, but both are required to bring in souls to God. It is the purpose of the podium and the church that has its meaning. It's like saying that cross is too bloody or it's only two pieces of wood with stakes or nail on them and my life is more valuable than that.
One of my favorite preachings is when Bro. Abel T. talked about living positively for Christ. And he preached on that pulpit.

There are rumors that more Pastors have left the AA and more are on the way out in the next few weeks and months because of the agressive letter the GB sent out on 9-16-09 about compliance with P&L"S and tithing to the Central offices in Gancho Cucamonga. They are obviously trying to scare people into sending more money, but Pastors are not scaring easily anymore. They are just leaving. Some have high mortgages on church properties, so they think it is better to leave now than when they are paid off and then they will belong to the GB to do as they wish with them. Pastors are really getting smart. I hear another agressive has been sent out. What will happen then? Only God knows! Sanchez and his band of crooks don't know which way is up! One blunder after another!

The AA is suffering because of how little brain the GB has! We're glad you're home! I'm afraid what you see happening here is nothing less than the deterioration of something man-made. Please don't let that bother you. We are in the last days. The tares are being separated from the wheat by the ministering spirits (Angels) who have been sent forth in favor of those who are to be the heirs of salvation. (Mat. 13:40-43) (Heb. 1:13,14)
The removal of the tares from among the wheat is necessary but it is not we who will remove them but that contingency of Angels who are sent forth to benefit the wheat and gather the tares for burning. Just like the wheat, the tares are not in any one organization. These are just fences men put up to try and corral the inheritance of God. All they end up doing is creating another image to the beast every time they do that.

Abel J. you have been my friend since long ago. Your father is a great man of God and I respect him until this day. I remember we would go to El Paso and your dad told your family, "He is A.B.'s brother." We can both agree that we have people talking behind our backs when they know they don't come up to us in person. I know that ALCC will bring in new levels, new beginnings, and new blessings according to God. All that has happened is because God has allowed it for a great reason. A man of God told me yesterday that when you are going through a test, sometimes you call on God and he doesn't answer. The devil will use any way he can and anyone who lets him to try and dissuade you from walking with God. Keep your eyes on the Master. You are here for a reason and God's purpose will fulfill itself in you, seeing as how it is He who has begun a good work in you. Stay in Father's will and don't be surprised or bothered by the attacks of those who do their father's will. They have been pre-ordained to their lot in life and their place in eternity. It has always been thus. The son of the slave woman will always persecute the son of the free woman. May God lead you to where that is written.
Just remember my brother, 1Peter 4:1 says: "...Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind..." It is written that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood." So those who do contend in the flesh with others do so because they are still in the flesh. They have not been born again. They might just as well have joined a social club and taken a dip in the Jucczi for all the good their "conversion" did them. You will find the type hiding among the pews of every meeting house on earth. Don't let them dissuade you by their words and actions. You are being molded into the image of the Master and we are tested in the fire. But when we come forth from it we shine as pure gold because we've been washed in the blood of the Lamb and we have been redeemed.

True Apostolic- a person who follows the teaching, lifestyle, and habit of the apostles of Jesus. Of or characteristic of an apostle.
The Apostle's motive was to glorify God and spread the message of the Lord. The Apostle's collected money for the cause of spreading it. Not accumilating it. The apotles had the character of Jesus their leader. They loved, and shared. Even when there were disagreements, the apostles let the Lord have the last word.

I came across this definition from the Princeton site:
1. of or relating to or deriving from the Apostles or their teachings
2. papal: proceeding from or ordered by or subject to a pope or the papacy regarded as the successor of the Apostles; "papal dispensation"
I think it is pretty clear that anyone can claim to be apostolic, but that it is in the actions or "fruit" of the claimant that the truth is revealed.
We who are called "oneness" have heard Eph. 2:20 quoted many times by many to "verify" or "establish" the fact that we believe what the Apostle Peter proclaimed in Acts 2:38. And yet, according to Hebrews 6:1, that is only the beginning in the doctrine of Christ.
So my point is: There is much more that has not been explored or understood yet, but these distractions that come as divisions and the hierarchical organizational form that is the cause of it all will surely keep many entertained long enough for them to show up in the group that Messiah refers to as the "five foolish virgins" in Mat. 25. The only way to not believe this is to deny that we are living in the last days or to trust in some false assumption that cannot be proven Biblically.
I would say that it is particularly crucial at this time to verify our faith to see whether it is indeed Apostolic. The reason for that is that Eph. 4:5 says, "One Lord, ONE FAITH, one Baptism." We understand the concept of the one baptism, but I think we really need to study on the "one faith." After all, faith is belief. Our faith houses all that we believe concerning God. But God has created only ONE FAITH! It is in our best interest to verify our faith by comparing it to the faith in Scripture. To think that any one organization contains in its doctrines the one true faith is equal to saying that the said organization is in effect the kingdom of God.
There are many things occurring all around us that testify to the fact that this is about to come to a screeching halt. But the most important witness to this is found deep within the prophecies from which the Apostles laid the foundation for us to build upon. Let us follow their example and return to the "old paths" even as the Prophet Isaiah was inspired by God to encourage us. Let us be Apostolic at heart!

In 1 John 4:7-12 we find the apostolic definition of an authentic Christian as well as the apostolic definition of an authentic church. We must pay attention to these definitions because they are not the opinions of a person, a constitution, a tradition, but the infallible word of God coming to us through the apostles. These words are the very foundation upon which the church is built.

Boy, the devil does get mad when you bring up the word, doesn't he? He wants believers to stay at each other's throats so he can keep them ignorant. As long as he can accomplish that, they will never reach that status that the Master said we would; "And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." The Body of Christ is on the move to the unity of faith and the devil is running scared because he knows his time is short. That is what makes him so mad. Now his children are coming out of the closet and revealing their true nature.

the word "apostolic" comes from the word "apostle" which simply means "one who is sent" ie with a message.
the word apostle has been around long before Jesus and his followers.
we use the term because of the "followers" of Jesus who carried Jesus' message of salvation (the gospel.)
true "apostolics" (IMO) were the early church christians, and or "the book of Acts church."
from there on we can only speculate.

The book of Acts uses the term Apostle’s Doctrine (Acts 2:42) signifying that it has more than just a dictionary meaning.
We should always use scripture to interpret scripture.
I thought the definitions from the previous bloggers were decent, but the Apostolic Assembly does not interpret “Apostolic” in this manner.
At some point the Apostolic Assembly has moved away from the scriptural interpretation of “Apostolic” and has made it more “performance based” (baptism and holiness).
You never hear (At least I don’t) anymore of the power of Christ’s resurrection and the grace that saves.
It’s always about baptism and tongues (what you do) and hardly about resurrection and grace (what God did).

As for myself, I just want to learn more. "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made comformable unto his death." (Phil 3:10)

The word "missionary" comes from a Latin word meaning the same as the Greek word "apostolos," one sent forth, representing the one who has sent them forth, having all authority of the sender, accomplishing what the sender would have accomplished should he had gone Himself.
These have been the function of an Apostle in the first century churches.
1. Taking the gospel to unreached areas. Paul said to the Romans, "It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation" (Romans 15:20).
2. Laying a firm foundation (Christ Himself) for the churches being established. Paul speaks of this important apostolic role: "By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise master builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 3:10,11).
3. Training the initial leaders and appointing elders. When Paul and Barnabas made their second visit to Lystra, Iconium and Pisidian Antioch, they prayed and fasted and ordained elders in each church (acts 14:21-23). Paul likewise instructs Titus to "set in order" the churches in Crete and appoint elders in every city (Titus 1:5).
4. Dealing with specific problems, false doctrines or sins in the churches that had been established. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians illustrates his use of apostolic authority to speak to a number of problems in the church he had planted at Corinth: disunity, immaturity, pride, immorality, taking other believers to court before secular authorities, questions about celibacy and marriage, disputes about meat sacrificed to idols, wrong handling of the Lord's Supper, misuse of spiritual gifts, confusion about the resurrection, etc.
5. Promoting unity in the Body of Christ. The unity principle was applied on many different levels. In Philippi, Paul had to deal with a situation of contention between two ladies in the local assembly, Euodia and Syntyche. In Corinth, there was apparently city wide disunity in the church because of various believers choosing to rally around dynamic leaders such as Paul, Apollos, and Peter. Paul also performed the apostolic role of providing a link of communication and sharing with the universal Body of Christ around the world.
6. Demonstrating and imparting the supernatural dimension of the Kingdom of God. Although it is God's intention for all believers to heal the sick, cast out demons and perform miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, those in apostolic ministry are particularly to bear this credential. Thus it is said that God did extraordinary miracles through Paul. Apostles were often used in a special way to impart the power of God to other believers.
In stating these six functions of apostles in the First Century church, it must be realized that each of the apostles in the New Testament was unique as to how he carried out his apostolic role. Peter was particularly gifted in reaching out to the lost. Paul seemed to excel in teaching and in building believers together as a functional expression of the Body of Christ. John's apostleship carried with it a prophetic heart that God's people would continually walk together in righteousness with the Lord and love each other. James, the half-brother of Jesus, also seems to have functioned as an apostle, even though the focus of his ministry was more pastoral and localized in Jerusalem.
It is also important to realize that having an apostolic calling did not automatically mean that the apostle had the right to exercise full authority in all places and situations. This is what we're seeing not just in the AA, but various other churches (Baptist, Methodist, UPC, Catholic, ect.) It was a ministry based upon relationship and not only on calling.
Also, it means that the authority of an apostle waned in certain ways once the local church was firmly established and provided with the oversight of local elders. The relationship and the authority still existed when necessary to intervene in problems not being remedied by the local leadership, but it was Paul's perspective that he was like a father whose role of authority diminished once his son or daughter reached adulthood. His heart was not to establish a "chain of command," but rather to see each church established under the headship of Christ.
Are the functions still relevant today? Yes!...
Unreached Areas - Although the gospel has gone out to some degree to every nation of the earth, there are still an estimated 16,000 "people groups" that are geographically or linguistically isolated and have never even heard of Jesus Christ.
Foundation Laying - Many churches in America and all over the world have never really been established on a solid biblical foundation. They have been built upon human traditions and human opinions, but not upon Christ Himself and His eternal Word.
Training Leaders - Today the apostolic function of training leaders has been largely replaced by seminaries and Bible schools. Appointing the leaders of local churches has been made a matter of congregational voting, selection by a denominational hierarchy, or ambitious aspiring young preachers simply starting their own churches and appointing themselves the pastors. The result has often been that leaders are put in places of responsibility that they are not really called to by God, and are not adequately equipped to fulfill. They may have been good students at the seminary, but are likely to miss the kind of personal training and character development that Timothy received from Paul.
Problem Solving - It is clear that local churches frequently encounter problems that they have difficulty solving without outside assistance. Pastors are often without any personal accountability and often have no one to give them input regarding church problems. Sometimes local leaders have blind spots and cannot even see the shortcomings that exist. There still a need today for men of apostolic authority to pierce through the blindness, ignorance and pride, speaking the Word of God to areas of sin, imbalance, false doctrine, division and other problems.
Unity - The disunity of the Body of Christ is still a scandal that robs us of the full blessing of God and undercuts our testimony to the lost. Men of genuine apostolic heart have a burden to see God's people come together as a united family and a united army. They see an overview of the universal church around the world and can sense the heartbeat of what the Lord is speaking. The vision is sorely needed in the church today, and only men of apostolic insight and authority can bring it about in a significant way.
Supernatural - We live in a day when God is moving mightily to restore signs and wonders to the church. For too long we have relied upon our intellect, human wisdom, and persuasive words - the very things Paul put no confidence in: "My message and my preaching were not in wise and persuasive words, but with demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power (1 Corinthians 2:4,5).
Yes, the world need apostles today!
Many Churches have lost there focus and have little or no foundation. God is raising up apostles to serve His Church today, and if we are wise we will recognize our need for such output.
Jesus is restoring His Church today! Making ready His Bride! Let us receive those He sends to be part of the restoration process!
