PROTESTANT PASTOR CHARGED WITH MOLESTING
14-YEAR-OLD FEMALE PARISHIONER
NEWPORT BEACH– A Protestant pastor of the Apostolic Christian Church in San Clemente was charged today for molesting a 14-year-old female parishioner that he met through his job. Ricardo Avalos Maffey, 42, Santa Ana, was charged with three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child between the ages of 14 and 15, and one felony count of contacting a minor with the intent to engage in child molest. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of five years and six months in prison. He is out of custody on $100,000 bail. Maffey is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 5, 2008, at 8:30 a.m., Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach. The Department will be determined later.
Maffey met Jane Doe through his role as a pastor. Between May 2008 and August 2008, the defendant is accused of violating his position of trust by engaging in illegal sexual contact with Jane Doe. On multiple occasions, he is accused of passionately kissing Jane Doe on the mouth. He is also accused of contacting her several times to meet and engage in kissing.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigated this case. Deputy District Attorney Tony Ferrentino of the Sexual Assault Unit is prosecuting this case.

I think it does, but since most of the stuff, mostly got swept under the carpet, like Sanchez's brother. He was allowed to remain a Pastor.
Even after the arrests some have been able to keep on preaching.
But thats only the tip of the iceberg.
Many have gone for help to the leadership for help only to be told not to go against God's anionted. which I think happened in the case of one Edward Pacheco who was in the car scam a few years back swindling the hermanos hard earned money. When members who lost money in scam call on help for their Pastors they were told not to go up against God's holy anionted.
Even some of our children and young people have been abused, and the leadership has turned a blind eye.

Frank Balboa also did a great job with the mop. Who are you to judge? Besides, have you seen the prayer request for his wife on their web page. If probably was not a good time for him to keep leading the youth. He has left a long positive mark in the mop department. A presidential banquet in his honor will be held today in convention. So don't come in here "guessing" that the mops did not like "his operation". He did a great job. It was just his time to step to the side after MANY years!
As for the Ladies & Men's Auxilary's, the elections where held in the same room with the youth. I did not receive that information. Can anyone post up the results from them?

Yes, Mark Amin would have won the past elections, but yes he declined. It was made known even before the elections that he would decline. Frank Balboa was the next man in line, and that's how it was! There was no one else that could of took over. Jeffrey Aguilar was the VP at the time.....there was no way on earth he could have led the mop's after Mark Amin. That is why he got voted out. They ran him in all positions and he lost! No one wanted him. The only reason he won VP was because all the East LA people were at the elections that time. After elections got narrowed down to only 2 voters from each district, the leaders voted him out! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get out of the subject.
Basically, you can say all you want if these "men of God" won any souls or not. Bottom line is, the National mop board is not there to make sure who gets saved or not. Yes, they should provide counseling and many other tools, but as I have heard several times, and I totally agree....the board (any national, district, local, etc...board) is not responsible over the people. In this case, the young people are not responsibility of the President; the young people are not property of the President. It is the Pastor's responsibility! They will be the ones that will be accountable for us. We are their sheep. They have MORE of the resposibility to save souls than any other "leader" per say. So far haven't seen only single body guard, It was a bunch of lies by the Ex AA members.
This convention is GREAT! One of the best. There was a great banquet today. A great pastoral meeting this morning where it was reported that the state of the AA is great. I feel honored to be part of the AA. The church has grown by 24000 people since 2006, this is great. The income of the AA has also grown. God is giving witness that he is with us.
I see that people are still using my blog name. To the person who is using my blog name, as long as you post facts and what you write makes sense, you can use my blog name. We are having a great VICTORY, and still have four more days of blessings.
Blessings to the faithful members of the Apostolic Assembly and those who are also true worshipers of God.

Let me fill you in on some info. which I assume you already know. I wouldn't doubt it if you are a pastor too if not one of Fontana's usher's.
If this convention is all about FORGIVENESS, RESTORATION and COMMUNION! Why is Sanchez still attacking the men who stood for justice just as he did last year at Gaylord even when the men were present? Sanchez seems to be very, very, very BITTER! They must be selling all the churches that pastor's have been leaving behind. They w/be needing the $$ cause t/Barrientos & Maffey's case is coming up.
Just to show how incorrect the number of 24000 member church growth is, if there are 400 US churches that means that every church would of had to of had at least sixty babtizms. I for a fact know that there are a great number of churches who have not babtized any body in years. So that means that the other churches that did have babtizms would of had to babtised more people.

The evil actions committed by the GB have discouraged many of the members of the congregations as well as the souls to leave to other denominations. How can we as AA members glory in victory when we know very well that the brothers that were excommunicated didn't fall from grace because of sin. If anything we should be embarrassed and heed the word of God and fall to the ground in repentance, so that the Lord can somehow restore relationships.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the GB were really feeling remorse that is why they've called the pastors and congregations so that together at Gaylord they could seek God's forgiveness, confess to him in order for all to be restored. I may lack some faith but I really don't believe there is one once of remorse in them. The respect and the trust that was there does no longer exist.
A huge chasm of confusion has been opened alright, with whats moving with in the apostolic ranks, but I think that what we are seeing is how God can expose the hearts of not only the GB, pastors and ministers but also the membership. For God is bringing to light just where we all stand with Christ. The filth and rottenness that is being exposed is amazing. Sin is still sin no matter how you want to color or pamper it.
Don't let the few that still stand for righteousness be overtaken by the ungodly majority who blindly are separated from God.

I had heard about this blog but did not care to hear people saying things that did not Glorify God or edify anyone; however, when someone mentioned that things were being said in regards to Bro. Frank Balboa,I decided to step in if only for a minute. It is obvious that you do not know much about this man. He truly carries a GENUINE burden for the youth. He has dedicated his life to participating and serving the messengers of peace. All that he has accomplished has being first of all by the grace of God. Unlike many of his running mates he does not have a "daddy" or relative trying to pull for him. It has all being done with a lot of hard work and dedication to the work of our Lord. As far as saving souls, he has saved many and more important has helped many more maintain and mature in their walk with The Lord. You should be concerned with how many souls YOU can save at least with your life as an example. Bro. and Sis. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I for one enjoyed mine. It had been several years since I baked a pumpkin pie from scratch. Yum! The fried turkey was excellent as well. A prayer was said before we broke bread and God was acknowledged and thanked for His blessings and giving health to our families.
I arrived back home yesterday. Let me say that convention was a major blessing. I'm still glowing with an overfill of the holy ghost.
I spoke to many men of God who have been faithful men of integrity of the apostolic church for decades. They all agree that this convention was by far the best convention ever in the history of the church.
The attendance that attended was in the thousands. We glorified in spirit and in truth. God poured out his blessings upon all of us.
Not one of us left Texas without at least of quadruple blessing.
All your false rumors of Bishop Valverde being arrested, about the security guards, about there being hardly no one in attendance were all proved to be lies from the dark pits of hell.
There's now a new generation of apostolic prophets that are leading the church.
Its the new generation of apostolic prophets that will save the souls of the world. We grew our church by 24,000. By next year that will be five fold to 120,000 then by 2010 it will be 1,200,000 apostolic members converted as a result of the Texas Revival.

I think the reason Texas conventions are more costly, are because only 1/2 the people show up from the california conventions.
It was the same back in 2001 at the Houston convention. Then once again last year in Grapevine,tx.
It looks like every year...all the TX, Midwest & East coast bethren make a sacrafice to travel to convention when they're held in california....but when it's in tx HARDLY ANY of the bethren in california go the extra mile to attend convention anywhere else if it's not in their backyard of california.

As far as the 24000 in growth just ask any truthful pastor that attended the convention. It's in the report that the General Secretary gave. It specicly gives exactly where the growth was. Just alone in africa the AA grew by 5000 praise be to the Most High.

I of course do not have a figure for you as to how many souls these men have won for The Lord. I can tell you that at convention after Bro. Frank's preaching 18 young souls decided to get baptized. You see like the Bible says one can plant the seed but it may take another one to water it and then God does the rest. I do agree with you that many of the brothers that sacrafice to be there is to get their "little mini vacation" time. To many, it's the only time they can get off work. So why not let them have it & go to disneyland? Don't blow it out of proportion, they still show up to services.
I think it works both ways though. Just as last year many of the pastors & ministers from the west admitted to attending the tx convention to enjoy the resort. Many took off to the ICE exhibition instead of the conferences. So I guess, it's a tie there.
One thing you still have to admit. There is still a much LARGER percentage of the bethren that travel to the west, than the bethren from the west that travel to any other convention that is not held in california.
Yes, the anaheim convention center is too small now. Long Beach convention accomodates almost half as much more than anaheim. I do not know exactly how much the Gaylord holds. But still, it's not like conventions in texas are every other year. In the last 10 years it was a total of 3 counting this years. Why not go out of california every 7-10 years & support the conventions that are held outside? You have to admit, the west coast have it all.

The reason I left early is that I have obligations for my job. See, God has blessed me with a really important job. I cannot reveal what I do, but lets just say it's very important and I have to report to very important people.

The youth convention finished last night. Their convention started on friday and went on until sunday night. The other convention being ran by the gb, started saturday morning and is still going on.
