PROTESTANT PASTOR CHARGED WITH MOLESTING
14-YEAR-OLD FEMALE PARISHIONER
NEWPORT BEACH– A Protestant pastor of the Apostolic Christian Church in San Clemente was charged today for molesting a 14-year-old female parishioner that he met through his job. Ricardo Avalos Maffey, 42, Santa Ana, was charged with three felony counts of lewd acts upon a child between the ages of 14 and 15, and one felony count of contacting a minor with the intent to engage in child molest. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of five years and six months in prison. He is out of custody on $100,000 bail. Maffey is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 5, 2008, at 8:30 a.m., Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach. The Department will be determined later.
Maffey met Jane Doe through his role as a pastor. Between May 2008 and August 2008, the defendant is accused of violating his position of trust by engaging in illegal sexual contact with Jane Doe. On multiple occasions, he is accused of passionately kissing Jane Doe on the mouth. He is also accused of contacting her several times to meet and engage in kissing.

People who were there said they were completely disgusted with Valverdes comments. How totally distateful. ...according to my math, each member must contribute 160 + a month, but if you tithe and earn lets say 2000-3000 a month you can
afford it
...unfortunately on paper it looks good , but the reality is that
many brothers and sisters cant tithe, either because they have
low wages, lost jobs or just never
got disciplined into tithing
...remember this 80,000 a month obligation to the bank does NOT
cover the Pastors salary nor his wife or the staff at the church and
other additional bills
...I say this not to embarass anyone, but this is something that
should have been debated before

Now the people that are leaving are experiencing blessings and are seeing the hand of God move before them.

Now you can say whatever you like but it is clear where God is really manifesting and it is certainly not in Egypt anymore (Apostolic Assembly).

I have labored for many years leading the ministries and third base. I have my girls conduct the interviews and I approve the ministries people want to start. If I like you, you get to start one, if I don't, you can go to Baldemar's church. Why shouldn't I receive a salary?

Don't get me wrong I personally know just how hard a pastor's wife works, ALL GOOD PASTOR'S WIVES DO. Actually sometimes even more so than the pastor. However, that already makes what about four salaries that the valverdes rake in. All the while the hermanos are trying to dig deep into their pockets to make that $80,000 mortgage AND ALL YOUR SALARIES.
You know I really doubt that there are any other pastors wives that get "paid" to serve. You all just seem to get want to get paid every time you sneeze.
Caminando Voy, I don't want to get into a big argument about this, but just undertand we are the new wave of Apostolic pastor's, post the "Baldemar Era". We are the first real mega-church in the Assembly. Adam has a larger English congregation in Union City but when you combine our Spanish and English we are about 1,300. Because of this Sam and I can dictate our own terms. Who will tell Sam after he becomes bishop president next year? You?
Hermanos and hermanas don't mind the salaries from the church, the assembly, the cd ministry, expense accounts with both FOT and the Assembly Amex cards. They don't even mind paying our utility bills (electricity, gas, water, telephone),the housing allowance agreement and getting us cars. Understand that the FOT church gets "write offs" from the IRS. If you understood this, then you would see how it makes sense to get these fringe benefits for the pastors.
Yes, we know that some of the poor hermanos are losing jobs, but they will survive. You know it and I know it. We are a nation and kingdom at FOT. Don't you understand the principle of kingdoms? The top of the food chain?

Thank you RudyF for your loyalty toward the ministry at FOT. We are so happy that you are part of our team. We have a big financial load right now but Sam is working on something and once he becomes bishop president, we will have access to more assembly properties to sell. There are many good ministers leading AA churches but they should not be pastoring. It's not their gift. So many additional ones will be removed and we can use the money from the sale of their building's for FOT. In addition, we will finance additional construction with the sale of the AA headquarters after 2010. Sam has plans once he becomes president to change many things that will make Dan Sanchez look like "mother Teresa". We just have to make it through these next couple of difficult years at $79,542 a month.

Oh don't you worry I went "caminando" right on out of the AA a long time ago.
Believe me it was the absolute best thing I could have ever done. And now that we don't have to send our hard earned monies to VIVIDORES such as yourself and Sammy Boy our church has plenty of money for all our local needs and our church is beautiful and prosperous and bursting with happy members and many, many souls! God has been really good and merciful to us.

To Caminando Voy: If your church has 100 members and you are bringing in $10,000 a month and your mortgage is $6,500 a month then its no big deal right? Well FOT brings in enough money in proportion to our size. Your church of 100 members would never understand a mortgage of $80K. How much do you think Saddleback pays a month for their mortgages? The answer is that they pay many times more than $80k a month.

However, with our ex-apostolic family...we don't fellowship with them or talk to them. We practice what we preach, how about you?

The bomb everybody is talking about IS several federal investigations of the GB members for federal crimes (fraud, Embezzlement, improper distribution and collection of funds, tax evation, etc., etc.) the list goes on.

I deliberately steered clear of presenting the parade of debacles that have given cause for the Apostolic Assembly members to be alarmed. Unethical conduct among the church’s leaders is not completely entrenched that all hope is lost.
Yet it does seem that the ruling network of AA board member’s families in general have been flirting with misconduct and that too many have crossed the line into unethical conduct. What is abundantly clear is that many church leaders adamantly refuse to provide avenues of verification to the local church pastors that the church is operated in an ethical manner. That my friend, will be what ultimately bring’s down the AA organization.

How true is it that Sam attended an independant church a while back with the APPROVAL of the commander and chief. This church is an independant church with Valverde family who pastor the church who called the AA "La Ramera" (Prostitute) which offended many of the AA that Sam would had visit that church. I find this to be a contradiction to your comment. If you need the day and place where this happened I'll be more than glad to post it on this blog for you. Oops!! Seems like you talked a little bit too much!
It is sad to think that many of our fellow Brethren have settled and conformed to this self appointed General Board. Much can be said about Bishop Baldemar Rodriguez, his approach, his dealings and his philosophy. But the facts of the matter, Bishop Baldemar is no longer here.
What we are left with is a Group of Leaders who no longer seek the Presence of the Almighty God. We have learned to Have Church, We have learned to Write Sermons and in the Process learned how to do a little shout and dance. We are a cheap representation of the Lord.
Our Leaders Worship the Rulers of the Earth and not even know it....
When you have pride and full of it, we worship the rulers of the Earth.
Rebellion has set into their Hearts, not by appointing themselves to a Board, nor removing the Brethren who challenged their so called authority, they have Rebelled from God through their Ritual of Holiness.
They lean to their own understanding of dogma and not the wisdom of the Lord. They hear the Voice of this Earth and it justifies their hypocrisy. Lets not forget that some churches don't even have weekday worship services anymore.
We had our thursday cancelled for share groups now we even had our tuesdays.

Please do not take what I say personal.
I just want to make some sense out of what has happened the last couple of years.
A lot of the changes are for the best. The AA organization has not progressed much in the last 100 years. That is in comparison to other "Jesus name" organizations. We are the smallest of all of them. The UPC(white pentecostals) has 4,300 churches. The PAW(black pentecostals) has 1800 churches and the AA(brown pentecostals) 600 churches. These numbers are deceiving because most of the AA churches are small in comparison to the other organizations. The average size of a typical AA church is about 80 members. The UPC is 500, the PAW is 400.
Once the new leadership is in place after 2010, things will really start to take off. Many of the small missions and churches will be closed and the members will be moved to the larger designated church in the area. Many of these ministers shouldn't be pastoring anyway. We can then grow larger churches and expand like franchises. Only those new pastor's that have the right branding will be able to open churches.
You and I both know it is the best thing for us all.
Sam cannot be president, unless they change the amendment that was made for the qualification of the president of the AA.
Last I heard the amendment was past that the candidate had to be a district bishop; in this case Sam was never a district bishop in the AA.
That is the same qualification to become a board member, but Baldemar Rodriguez is the one that smuggled him in the GB position.
I am pretty sure they will come up with some other reason as to why he would be a qualified candidate.
The one who shouldn't be pastoring or in any kind of leadership role is SammyBoy. What an idiotic concept. It just shows us more and more that you all belong in the looney bin.

And people pass the word around to anyone who you think may not know of the gb's plan and motives and wrongdoings. Not everyone has access to this information. Tell everyone what the AA is planning. Give everyone a chance to do something before it's too late. Quit buying properties and for sure do NOT put them in the AA's name. Get smart people because Hitler Valverde will soon be your dictator.

The GB put the building of the first church in Albuquerque up for sale to get money out of it, will they be funding the New church of fontana with Albuquerque Profits?
We already know that many pastor's will incorporate, from now on. But they will be removed from the AA and excommunicated too!
If they own buildings they will lose them. If they don't own buildings, we simply don't care. Any church that doesn't own a building is a very small congregation and that is why we need to eliminate them.
As far as the 2010 elections? It has always been a musical chairs concept. You go back in forth between positions on the board. Don't you know that?

The Revolution - hmm..
If we pay attention to what is occurring we will discover that there is a revolution of sorts taking place. It is coming in the form of thoughts, suggestion and protest by leaving, rather then outright revolt and/or staging a coup.
What some of us do not realize is that many of our Leaders, i.e.; Board, Bishops, Pastor and Ministers have preached and taught a message that has been very Persuasive, so Influential that it turns family against one another. We've preached messages that have suggested we need to work for the church to make it into Heaven contradicting what we actually believe.
Our Leaders have used their Positions to spread their own Agenda, Desire and Lust. They do it at the expense of the membership, not realizing the damage they cause, wether it be mental, health, financial and most importantly - spiritual.
What we have learned of our Leaders is they Lack the Spirit of God and the Power of there of and have substituted that with Dogma, Religion and Oppression.
The Facts of the Matters is simply, there is a fear amongst the Pastorship and Bishops.

There is clearly a division amongst the Leaders of the Assembly, we currently have 3 different Sects and these Sects make up our Organization.
The First Sect and/or Tier is related exclusively with our Young Generation of Ministers and Leaders who have the fear of the Lord within them. This Tier was brought into the Ministry by there Sponsor, i.e.; Father, Uncle and/or God Father. These Young individuals are American and Educated, understanding the Full Rights and Civil Liberties. They oppose the current Leadership and Their actions but are cannot do anything about it because it would divide the family and compromise their ministry in the AA.
The Second Tier is a Group of Bishops and Pastors who are seeking the Lord - hoping that there will be reconciliation between the AA and the AWA. Believe it or not there is a section of Leadership who oppose the split of the AA. This Group Fears that if they make known their opinion they will be relieved of their Position.
Tier One and Two have fallen in love with the Lord and have poured their Heart and Soul into the Work of the Assembly.
The 3rd Tier is the Current General Board and any Leader who shares the same opinion as does the GB. This Sect is currently destroying the Apostolic Assembly.

How can you say they Fear the Lord? In reality they Fear the GB.

The GB sold the 1st Church of Albuquerque’s building. The congregation was asked to either joined the 2nd Church of Albuquerque or can continue on as the First. When asked What is going to happen with the profit that was made from the sale of the building, Member’s were told by Bishop Renee Gaxiola that they cannot count on that money at all, it no longer belongs to them.
Why was the congregation not given at least $50,000 for what the member’s worked for, pledged for, tithe for, gave up offerings for, to at least find a new building/location?

The members demand answers as to what will be done with the profit that was made from the sale. From what I hear the amount is enough to cover what was borrowed from the AA.

GB’s sold the first church of Albuquerque. The GB took all profits even though the profit was enough to pay the borrowed funds from the GB and enough money for the first church to keep in order to find a new location.
Instead they were told by Bishop Gaxiola the profit that was made from selling the church building does not belong to the congregation and should not count on the money at all. Some members are distraught of having no building or no funds to continue on.
I ask the GB before God is this right?
The church was not foreclosed where no profit were made, the church was sold with equity.
rudyf is right. Congregations if you are still paying a mortgage on your church QUIT PAYING IT NOW! Let your churches go into foreclosure and use your monies to find another place while you still can. Better that than having the general board sell it out from under you and leaving you high and dry without a place to worship as they left the church in Albuquerque. PEOPLE THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING! BEWARE AND DO SOMETHING RIGHT NOW.
Those of you who can pass the word around to everyone you can. The general board has even worse things planned.
By allowing your churches to go into foreclosure the general board will not be able to keep up with everyones payments or to sell them as quickly. It will also give you time to look for another building until foreclosure proceedings occur. In the meantime KEEP ALL YOUR MONIES AT YOUR LOCAL CHURCH! You will need it at your newly incorporated place. Believe me we are experiencing God's blessings and we do not need the AA, at all. We started over only eight months ago and it has been blessing after blessing.
Do not be afraid God will be with you and your church will prosper even more. Lets ALLOW mass FORECLOSURE of the churches before the AA sells them for their own personal gain.
IF THE AA GB OWNS OUR CHURCHES THEN LET THEM PAY FOR THEM!

Why have you allowed for this to happen? They followed you, believed in your dream of building this place of worship, they worked hard and long hours, gave tithes, offerings and pledge beyond their means to stay up float.
