Revolutionaries for Justice

So the Revolutionaries for Justice want to come with video camera's in hand and try to affect change?

Have you not seen the Rodney King Video? It doesn't matter what the video shows, they were found not guilty.

Do you realize that a very well respected group of pastors just tried to sue our Beloved Assembly and ended up losing their churches. You think our leaders are going to listen to a few foul mouthed, name calling, disrespectful noobs? I think not! You must realize one thing; the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, Inc.(Texas and California) has the legal system behind them.

You can't fight City Hall. I am surprised they sued. I am surprised that some of these pastors are apologizing. "I'm sorry for pointing out how the AA and its constituents were defrauded from a fair election, can I have my church back"? But I do understand why they are apologizing: It is their livelihood at stake. That is very unfortunate because most of these pastors have nothing else to fall back on.

I did read Sister Rita Solomon's letter over on AA.info. She is very well respected, intelligent and well spoken. She articulated very well her feelings and emotions through her ordeal. The anxiety, the unknowing, the embarrassment, the humiliation, the frustration of trying to do what was right and being told you where wrong, the lack of clarity as to what the future holds, being called rebellious. As Bill Clinton said, "I feel your pain".

Now you know what countless other pastors wives, who where excommunicated and removed while your husband was on the General Board and stood their and said nothing, feels like. Welcome to the real world. And I do say that with the utmost respect and admiration for you and your husband's ministry...but it had to be said. This type of politics has been bred in our Assembly, many generations have been through this. You held the reigns and did nothing to change this, not only did you do nothing to change this, you fostered this corruption. You lived high of the hog and now the hog has turned and kicked you out of the pen.

You are free now, there is no need to come back. What are you going to come back to? Its easier to see how dirty things are when your not rolling around in it. Run free and be clean no one can hold property over your head anymore. All the other pastors are held hostage by their properties. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. The truth is that Jesus did not intend for pastors to be slaves to an organization. An organization that can do what it wants, when it wants to whom in wants in the name of Jesus. Pastor's do not realize that they are held captive because of the structure of the AA. It controls the property therefore holds captive its pastors. I may not be Bible scholar but I don't think this is what God intended. It breeds corruption, pride of the flesh.

Back to the Revolutionaries...

If you want to really affect change, you must change from within. Lose the slang, lose the hostility, put on a tie and a suit and STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED. Speak clearly, assertively and with the peace and kindness of Christ. You must grow into a position of respect and admiration, then...when you hold the reigns, you must not let the power go to your head. You must be a giver, not selfish and look out for future generations of Latino's across this country. Not you and your children's fancy houses and cars. This is how we must build wealth, by effecting the lives of others beyond your site and reach. YOU MUST AFFECT THE EFFECT!(That is for Freddie Jose, some of the old timers will understand the FJ reference). It will take time, be steadfast.

I am afraid if you don't, this may be the beginning of the end of our beloved social.

ACCION...

Can you please elaborate on what happened with the church that Ismael has now?

Who is Pastor Jesse Espinoza?

Unknown said...

I know that they are here for a fact. I don't know which church this Pastor is from...I also don't know why he is being removed? Is there something going on out here that we are not aware of or is it elections related?

Hello? Is this thing on? said...

this must have happened some time ago. I know Ismael has had S.Gate church since pre-2000.... maybe years before that... I don't know exactly. So when Accion mentions that the GB took it from someone, that tells me that this aint NEW!

Rightgaurd smelled: "Thank you for informing me of Baldeliar leaving in 2002, but if Mr. Ruff was released in 2003 when did the General Board have their secret meeting or meeting to release Mr. Ruff."

Good question Mr. Defensive. Why don't you ask your presiding Bishop this. Why did he get rid of the guy and have secret meetings about him?

Rightgaurd smelled: "Mr. Ruff is under the impression Baldeliar had something to do with that."

Are you Mr. Ruff? Or is it true that the AAFCJ should have told the court the TRUTH that the presiding bishop in 2003 was in fact D. Sanchez! Instead of allowing the court to think that B. Rodriguez was the presiding bishop. I guess the AAfCJ thinks they can lie to the US Court too huh?

Rightgaurd smelled: "As far as me needing rightguard, you are right but my smell should be something you can handle."

What is up with you GB trying to control people even on a blog? I don't need to handle your smell if I don't want to. Get over yourself!

Rightgaurd smelled horribly: "After all your mom (aka Sister Sewer Samon) was about as smelly as they come. Besides having ten step dads, were you able to find out who your biological father is. (lol")

That's just cold meat, you come out safisticated and then leave childish. Let men be men and children be children. If you can't handle the heat, get of the kitchen GB!

I'm not who you think I am and for you to have such a vendetta against D. Salomon and his family, well all I can say is that God will take care of it. You're really showing your true colors. Again, you sad little man.

Pastor Francisco Esquibel from Interior District send his ministerial credential to Bishop Lugo.

Hello? Is this thing on? said...

And this means...??? Sorry but I'm kind of new here... And don't really know too many name outside of So Cal.

So Sam Valverde went to the Olympics? Hmmm, I thought Apostolics were HIGHLY discouraged from participating in organized sports? Too much flesh being shown there brother! Can you imagine the criticism if any one qualified to participate in any olympic event? Can you say "tar and feather"? Why is our illustrious leaders, our shining examples supporting an event your local church probably preaches against. But yet we can reconcile people to ministry (sorry Jaime, you are the most glaring example) even though the Assembly has a document saying they don't believe in reconciliation for ministry. (see apostolic letters)

P.S. Don't forget to send in your tithes and offerings!

factsonly1 said...

Jose,
You need to post more details buddy. Pastor Francisco Esquibel sent his minister's license to the bishop? Um, why? To make copies of it? To analyze it for anthrax contamination? Because they like each other? Because he found a better job?

Also, what church does Pastor Francisco Esquibel pastor?

More details dude.

Unknown said...

Hello? Is this thing on?,

Pastor Francisco Esquibel, Pastors in Thousand Palms and all it means is that yet another strong (that is that he left for the right reasons and not because he was stealing money or anything shady) man was willing to speak up to the General Board and let them know that he isn't going to be apart of a Monopoly. Yes, there are other ways to speak up, although limited, this is one way of speaking up. We will continue to pray for Pastor Esquibel that Christ continues to be His Lord and King and that his worship stays centered on Christ and not on earthly idols such as money or position.
(This comment may be premature in nature. That is because Jose's post wasn't complete. I was just trying to give some background on what this means if the resignation was in protest to the General Board)

Maybe Valverde was getting his groove on with Misty May. Or maybe he went to see Olympic diving. Or maybe he was watching Olympic Fencing.

Pacheco is getting a Gold Medal in Apostolic Fencing. lol

I think the AA would love to have one of it's members in the Olympics. Think of all the tithes from the endorsements!

Do not get upset, because you think that Baldliar and Solomentira are innocent. All that happen to those two is what they have done to others. As far as Sanchez and the rest of GB, their turn will come because that will not happen until they are no longer GB members. This is of course, if history repeats itself.

Sorry for stooping your level (Sewer Samon Jr.); however, I pointed out a fact and a question and you began with the insult. So take some of your advice and get out of the kitchen. Rightguard smell and so does Sewer Samon Jr.

If I was on the side of Sanchez I would be content because the GB had the Plantiffs rearends handed to them. They lost and the GB won so deal with it. The people who I cheered for are victorious.

RightGaurd

I'm not upset, and I didn't accuse you of getting upset either. All I stated was that you were defensive, there's a big difference.

However, if you're upset I don't know why. If you feel you are right what is there to be upset about?

I'm just stating facts, read the lawsuit again, just as I stated. Do in depth research not just at the surface.

As far as Sanchez and the rest of GB, their turn will come? Hah! There turn is NOW buddy boy. Is it not under Sanchez' reign that all this destruction is going on? How is it that Sanchez and the GB can't keep the church house in order? Again, do your research in depth, not just surface level.

You see people like you get mad because they think they have the real facts and it backfires on them when someone that is educated gets involved. Don't just read the law suit, research if before you sound like a fool again.

Stooping to my level? What level is that exactly, since you're accusing me of being at a "level".

You were insulted because I called you RightGaurd? Comeon, I'm not even insulted because the GB is mad at me for using their blog name. It's a blog and your anonymous, so why would you get so insulted? Unless you really are THEE TWO VOTE EDDIE!

My advice? Rightgaurd why are you so defensive?

THEE TWO VOTE EDDIE HIMSELF STATES "If I was on the side of Sanchez I would be content because the GB had the Plantiffs rearends handed to them. They lost and the GB won so deal with it. The people who I cheered for are victorious."

If you were on the side of Sanchez? You ARE on the side of Sanchez, you're Pachueco! We all know this!

According to the FACTS the Plantiffs are in an APPEAL, so no one has won. I know you're going to argue because your education is minimal and that alone is obvious because you state that the GB won. Anyone who didn't read the lawsuit correctly would believe that also. The Facts regarding that part of the lawsuit has already been stated and I don't need to repeat myself.

Since I know the GB loves to hear this,

Pastor David Zuniga is a HERO!!!

NOW we are under GRACE we have to come to him as a LIVING and HOLY SACRIFICE..

HE wants us to return to him so he can make us CHILDREN OF GOD..

Called to proclaim lies:

Talk about lying and contradicting the scriptures. This goes to show how wrong you are in this issue.
Let me give the truth in a modern translation of the Bible, in case you don't know english that well.

Mathew 5:17-18
17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
18 “For truly I say to you, auntil heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

In regards to sacrifices Jesus fullfills the law being the perfect sacrifice that's why we don't need any other.

Heed your own advise, read on the subject before you start talking about it.

. said...

Called TO, Can you show us where it says they didn't give tithes? Also we are not covered by grace we are covered by the BLOOD. We still have to obay the Word of God and that is why we do need a sacrifice, Jesus! If we did not have to give tithes then also the whole new testament would be out the window, and that would make our whole theology of no effect. You have to accept the whole Word of God.
The bible does not say Peter was baptize in Jesus name yet we know he was right?
The bible does not say Jesus drank water during his 40 day and 40 nights of fasting yet we know he did.
The Law says Honor thy Father and Mother right? Do we then stop Honoring them because it falls under the Law?
WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN, THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? GOD FORBID. (ROM 6:1)

To Paul & think first....Here is ur answer in case u didnt know...seems like u guys dont from what i see...goodnight....

The History of Tithing

The modern definition of tithing is giving 10% of one’s income to a religious organization. During New Testament times "tithing" referred to the Jewish practice of giving 10% of one's income to support the Temple. The words "tithing" and "tithe" come from an old English word meaning "tenth".

Genesis 14:20 contains the first Biblical reference to the practice of tithing. After Abraham is victorious in a battle against some neighboring kings, he gives a tithe of his treasure to Melchizedek the high priest of Salem. It is important to note that Abraham tithes voluntarily and, as far as we know, he tithes only once.

It was not until 500 years later (circa 1500 BC), after the exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt, that God instituted a law requiring the people of Israel to tithe (Numbers 18:21-26). The purpose of the tithing law was to provide support for the priests and Levites who served in the Tent of Meeting. Another law requiring each Jewish male to pay an annual temple tax had a similar purpose to the tithing law (Ex 38:26). The Tent of Meeting was where the priests administered sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins committed by the people of Israel.

In about 950 BC, King Solomon built a temple in Jerusalem to replace the Tent of Meeting (1 Kings 6 – 10). Upon completion of the Temple, the priests and Levites relocated their sacrificial ministry from the Tent to the Temple. The people continued to support the priests through tithing and the temple tax.

From this time forward, the Jewish people practiced tithing with varying degrees of compliance until the last Temple was destroyed by the Romans around 70 AD. With the destruction of the Temple, the ancient Jews ceased tithing as there was no longer a Temple or priestly ministry in need of support.

The Christian Church emerged some time before the destruction of the Temple (Acts 2). Almost all of the first Christians were of Jewish descent, many of whom struggled with understanding how their new faith in Jesus impacted their practice of Judaism. The Letter to the Hebrews was written to such Jewish Christians. It taught that the Temple was no longer necessary, as forgiveness of sins now came through faith in the death and resurrection of Christ, not through the sacrificial ministry of priests in the Temple (Heb 10). It follows that if the Temple and the priests were not necessary, tithing to support them would also not be necessary. Considering this, it is not surprising that there is no record of Jewish Christians tithing to the Temple after the foundation of the Church. Additionally, the New Testament does not contain any command that Christians tithe.

References to tithing in the New Testament are limited to Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42, Luke 18:12 and Hebrews 7:8-9. The verses in Matthew and Luke are spoken to Jews still subject to the tithing laws, not to Christians. In these verses, Jesus questions the priorities of Jews who place a heavier emphasis on tithing than on charity, mercy and the like. The author of Hebrews refers to tithing to make the point that Christ is greater than the Jewish high priest (Heb 7:8-9, see also Matt 17:26). The author does not instruct Jewish Christians to tithe. To do so would contradict the main theme of the letter which is to prove to Jewish Christians that the resurrection of Christ renders the Temple obsolete.

Soon after Pentecost, with the help of the Apostle Paul, the Christian faith spreads beyond Israel and many Gentiles become Christians. (Jews refer to non-Jews as Gentiles). The first Gentile converts to Christianity were often "God-Fearers." God-Fearers were Gentiles who appreciated Judaism and attended Jewish synagogue services, but did not convert to Judaism usually due to the circumcision requirement. As God-Fearers did not undergo circumcision and convert to Judaism, they were not expected to follow the Jewish Law, meaning they were not obligated to tithe, pay the temple tax, obey the sabbath and the like.

In each city the Apostle Paul visited, he evangelized the local synagogue first, resulting in God-Fearers and Jews converting to Christianity. These new Christians formed local churches in homes (Acts 8:3, Rom 16:5, 1 Cor 16:19, Col 4:15, Phm 1:2). Paul and his colleagues repeated this process in several cities, founding churches in Galatia, Ephesus, Thessalonica, Philippi, Colossae and elsewhere.

As Paul traveled from city to city, he would instruct his churches remotely through letters. These letters make up the bulk of the New Testament. Some of them were likely written prior to the destruction of the Temple (e.g. 1 Thessalonians and Galatians). Paul insists that Gentile Christians (including God-Fearers) reject circumcision and subjection to the Jewish Law (Gal 5:2-6). It is not surprising then, that Paul never suggests that Gentile Christians begin tithing to the Temple or paying the Temple tax. Nor does Paul--or any other New Testament author-- institute any system similar to tithing for the support of the Church.

Since there was no New Testament equivalent to tithing, a question arises regarding how churches were supported. During New Testament times, churches were not institutions. They did not have dedicated buildings or full-time leaders supported by attendees. Instead, churches were similar to modern day home groups. They met in homes with leaders who had means of income other than congregational support. New Testament churches, in other words, had no costs of operation.

Just because they did not tithe does not mean that the early Christians neglected supporting their leaders or giving to Charity. Paul teaches that apostles had the right to request financial support, a right Paul himself did not exercise because he did not want to burden the congregation (1 Cor 9:14-15). The churches also routinely supported widows, orphans and other poor people (1 Tim 5:9, Acts 2:45, Acts 6:1). Paul placed a special emphasis on supporting famished Christians in Jerusalem, asking the Corinthian Christians to take a regular collection for a time to support them. Before asking this, he reminds the Corinthians that the collection is voluntary and not a command (2 Cor 9:7). In summary, whether to apostles or charity, the early Church gave freely as they had means, not because of an expectation or religious requirement that they give a fixed percentage of their income. The Church continued with this voluntary approach to giving for over three centuries.

In the fourth century, the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity. Prior to Constantine’s conversion, Christianity was illegal and, as discussed above, churches met secretly in homes with part-time leaders who had other sources of income. After his conversion, Constantine made Christianity both legal and a status symbol causing the Church to expand rapidly. The Church moved out of homes and into buildings and employed full-time ministers, thus creating a much greater need for income. The New Catholic Encyclopedia's article on tithing nicely summarizes this situation and what happened next:

"The early Church had no tithing system. The tithes of the Old Testament were regarded as abrogated by the law of Christ…..As the Church expanded, however, and its material needs grew more numerous and complex, it became necessary to adopt a definite rule to which people could be held either by a sense of moral obligation or by a precept of positive law. The tithing of the Old Law provided an obvious model and it began to be taught—more commonly in the West, however, than in the East—that the faithful should give tithes of their income. When the view began to get sufficient support, it found legislative expression. The Council of Macon in 585 ordered payment of tithes and threatened excommunication to those who refused to comply."

Summary and Conclusions
Catholic Christians believe in the authority of the Pope, the Councils and the Bible. As such, they tithe as defined by the Council of Macon and later pronouncements on tithing. For Protestant Christians relying solely on the Bible to inform their faith and practice, understanding early Church practice as reflected in the New Testament result in some different conclusions regarding giving:

1. Each time the New Testament talks about tithing, it is referring to the Old Testament law requiring Jews to give 10% of their income to support the operation of the Temple and the Jewish priests. The Letter to the Hebrews teaches that Christ's sacrifice rendered the Temple and the priests obsolete. This is why the New Testament never applies the practice of tithing (i.e. giving 10% of one’s income to support the Temple) to Christians.

2. The requirement that Christians "tithe" (tithing here meaning giving ten percent of one's income to support Church buildings and pastors similar to how the Jews tithed to support the Temple and priests) was devised by the Church in 585 AD, centuries after the New Testament was written. This further explains why such a requirement is not mentioned in the New Testament.

3. While the New Testament neither instructs nor suggests that Christians set aside a fixed percentage of their income to support Church leaders or church buildings, it does encourage Christians to give freely and generously to worthy causes such as aged parents, the poor, missionaries and Church leaders.

4. The New Testament states that Church leaders may earn their living from the Church, meaning the leaders may appeal to the Church for voluntary support.

5. The New Testament does not give guidance on Christian priorities when deciding whether, or how much, to give to the church, missionaries or the poor. This means the common Protestant teaching that the local church should have pride of place in Christian giving (before charity, missions or other religious causes) has no Biblical support. It is worth mentioning that 1 Tim 5:8, 1 Tim 5:2 and Mark 7:11 suggest that caring for one’s family and parents is a top priority.

6. The New Testament encourages giving out of abundance or prosperity. It does not expect sacrificial giving, although it does commend it. (See Luke 21:2-4, 2Cor 8:14, 1 Cor 16:2 and 2 Cor 8:8).

You show us where it says they didn't and I'll stop paying tithes and send you my tithes as a LOVE offering for this new revelation.
You are the one with the burden to prove.

called2proclaim said...

How can I apply this in my life? First, I have to remember that everything I have has been given to me by God. “For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer,” (1 Tim 4:4-5). If you have much, praise God for it. If you have little, trust God that He has given you what you need to be content.

Second, I have to understand the gifts I have been given are not mine, but God’s. My money is not 90% mine and 10% God’s – it is 100% God’s. And, He is very interested in what I choose to do with the gifts He has given me. My use of those gifts is the best indicator of my heart. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” (Matt 6:21).

Third, God has given us instruction in how to give. “On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come”, (1 Cor 16:2). Ryrie uses this verse to demonstrate four principles of giving: (a) Giving is incumbent on everyone (“each one of you”); (b) giving is to be proportionate (“as he may prosper”); (c) giving is in private (“put aside and save”); and (d) giving should be periodic (“every week”).

I didnt say where in the bible does it say they didnt tithed???
let me correct u again..

I said where in the new testament does it show that the Belivers tithe after the ressurection????
read what i wrote above maybe then you can answer me..I dont need ur money maybe someone in ur family is struggling finacially maybe u knoe someone in need..widow an orphan etc..

I know what you wrote, I read it.
You said show where they tithe after the resurection. I said show where they didn't tithe after the resurrection? I didn't say you needed my tithe either, that why I said I'll send it as a LOVE offering.
The fact is you can't prove they did not tithe, how do you know they didn't tithe the first day of the week?
Also do you honor your mother and father if so why? That falls under the law.
Do you live a santified life, if so why? You're under grace right?
Or is there exception to the rules? If so who then has the authority to deside when this exception is made?

Answer this?

Is it a sin to tithe, and if by tithing I show appreciation for the deliverance Christ has done in my life, where would you give categorize that sin. Everything is the Lords, so apparently the Lord hasn't done very much for you that you would withhold that which he gives you. I love the Lord and I choose like many, to give as a love gift to him. So if you don't tithe nor believe in doing so, please go to another organization where they don't do it and stop being a stumbling block to those who do.

I've know men that were in the Armed Forces and never have I heard one brag about what they done, while they served.

Know some from Vietnam and Iraq and never have heard one state what you did the other day.

something like this
"I was in Iraq saving your behinds:"

something like that maybe not the right wording was the same but close.

If you are really serving then again thanks and sorry for my obervation

Don't insult crooks by comparing them to the dgb.

I mean crooks are crooks. They don't use the Bible to steal, if they rob you they use a gun or pistol whip you.

The dgb robs you then makes you feel guilty for not having more to give, and one won't even get in the same car with you, because you didn't give enough.

Crooks isn't the word for that

thank you for acknowledgeing those of us that fight for this country, believe it or not we do not get a warm welcome everywhere we go.

i never said i went to iraq but i did say i was overseas,i only said that to defend from some one who made a stupid comment not to brag(due to my M.O.S we ar not allowed to disclose our theaters of operation)

when the call comes in to deploy i go with pride cuz i know its to defend people like you,but what bothers me is that there is still grown men living withtheir parents(HANK & SKOTTY) and causing division in our churches.

I say our churches cus eventhough im not babtized,i always remember my uncle taking me to church when i was a kid,and his wish before he passed away was for me to get saved, but i come back from deployment and find out all this crap is going on.

I wonder if blogs like this are discouraging others that might want to come to the Lord.I dont discouraged becuz My Father has made me strong and the Marines built character in me,plus i read my King James Bible every night.

I wonder who can tell me of a good church in the SB Area?????

One of the most important keys lies in the funding to the corrupt. STOP ALL FUNDING NOW!! They are in a "denial" and "withdrawl" mode spiritually and carnally.

I have to be tough on this one:

As far as the Aguilars are concerned, those guys are nothing but a show for you. I hate to be real hard about it but I had to say it. "It's all about me,what I am wearing, where I am from, how good do I,etc. so on, and on". You don't force the presence of God in someone by telling them if they are not annointed, they are not doing things like they want you to,? Understand everyone? Its kind of disturbing for me personally cause I have seen them do these types of things to youth who were in their right minds and in tune with the spirit.

Food for thought:
When you let a position, title, etc get to your head, it swells up and will soon burst!

Thank God for His tender mercies.

Iam still learning...the wonderful Book of life..God's word.

So is your background Baptist?

Thirty years in the AA you have just arrived to understand all there is to know about the AA.

This did not happen in 30 years. It is long time process that has evolved to this.

And it has been said that an organization of approximately 100 years does not dissolve from "outside" but from "WITHIN"

This is an enternal problem that can only be resolved by praying to the Lord. It takes humility and charity, which is love for each other..

Some people would rather see the AA completely "fallen" and "finished", then to try to resolve the issues from within.

In my opinion and what I have seen and experienced for many of several generaations and the roots of these people. Who they are? where did they come from? What are their insecurities.. Enough to "destroy" for "self gain
then I understand the issue of "Tithes."

"More and more" is what they want.

These high salaries are not just from tithes and the "florazul" They are from other sources..bigger than just "tithes and "florazul" projects.

This is why I say my dear Sister..and also ....

I can add to the comment about the Pastor who preached on certain sins until his kids grew up, then he didn't preach on those sins anymore.

I am reminded of years ago when Nava was the Pastor of El Siloe and there were two young men from the church innocently playing catch with a baseball.

Nava had a fit and put them on 'disciplina'. He didn't let them participate in any youth activities, like singing in the choir, going to youth district services, or other church events.

They had to sit with their parents during church services--these guys were in their early twenties. This went on for six months.

Lo and behold, when Nava's grandkids in Union City came along, they had TEAMS, they played against other churches, and guess who was there rooting for them, but Grandpa Nava.

It continues down the generations, some can and its okay, others can't because it's a sin.

Many were thrown out of the church by Nava--it just depended on what he considered a sin or who was committing said sin.

Pastoral Letter of July 23, 2008
III. Attempts of conciliation were fruitless.

Why do they use the word “attempts” in plural when it was only once? However, different to them, for seven months we attempted making attempts. They write: “As proof of it, we send a copy of the letter with the date of October 5, 2007 that the Bishop President and the Vice-President sent to the ministers that are now being removed, where they are invited to meet on October 9, 2007,

In first place, this has never been a problem of communion of the elections of 2006, but a problem of corruption in the elections of 2006.

In second place, pay close attention to the expression that indicates without doubting that they did not have the slightest intention of rectifying in relation to all the errors that they committed at the elections of 2006 and said expression is the following: “What started as a claim, that surely for you justifiable and reasonable, and for us a firm and satisfactory reply.” In other words they were firm in what they did and they were satisfied with what they did.

For example, we do not believe in profound sighs, nor Christian humbleness, nor hearts in our hands, in other words, we discerned that there was no sincerity nor intention of rectifying the claim we have.

It is good that they place dates in that dates become interesting and reveal very important things. Why? Because they convened us on October 9, 2007 and two days after this Bishop President Sánchez, Vice-President Valverde and Secretary General Pacheco they were establishing a new corporation in the state of Texas. On October 11, 2007 without having submitted a proposed-initiative at General Convention and without seeking the pastoral approval according to Article 75 caused forty-six violations to our Constitution.

You pastors judge, were they sincere with the content of their letter? Furthermore, the following month at General Convention they muted all, they maintained it veiled and we pastors were not worthy of being advised then.

Point 3 Letter 3. And have proceeded to install new pastors in those four churches.
We regret that it is so easy for them to not be truthful as our brother Abel V. Torres continues to pastor the same church in Midland, Texas.

in fact... if you want to get a good perspective on how and why the AA is in the trouble it is in read the following two books:

Both speak on the corrupting power of... well power and authority..

and you can find plenty of wisdom on their views on good governance..

and that is the underlying issue of the problem the AA faces, mismanagment and catastrophic governance, and lack of vision. and even worse, an APATHETIC electorate (YOU).

Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Notice the biblical flow.

1.continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine

2. sold their possessions and goods

3. divided them among all, as anyone had need

You link to volume 1 doesnt work, however I saw volume 2 (i'm sure its more of the same).

Again I'll stand by my first point of view.

If an individual chooses to tithe (Not necessarily in any %), it MUST be of their own free will. And they have the liberty to give it to whichever recipient they believe would be the best stewards of those funds. And many times thatw ould not be the church.

if you read the scripture... IN NO WAY IS THE CHURCH MENTIONED

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink?

38 And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye did it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 for I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink;

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me.

Please people, understand that

Giving to God DOES NOT EQUAL or translate to GIVING TO THE CHURCH.

I can top this, I can top this!!!! Years ago in the Pinedale Apostolic Assembly church pastored (then) by Brother Rene Gaxiola, when the women or the young people were up on the the platform cleaning and vacuuming, they would get to the pulpit area, run the vacuum from the side, THEN when they needed to cross over to the other side of the platform believe it or not, they would literally JUMP across the space directly in back of the pulpit to get to the other side. Brother Gaxiola was a wonderful man, went on to be missionary in Spain, his wife was very unusual in that most Apostolic Assembly pastor DISCOURAGE their young people from being baptized when they ask about it (Wait...you're too young,...what if you backslide?")

LOL about the jumping over the back of the pulpit LOL that is hilarious. You know many of the churches have graduated from these theories. Back in the day, you didn't see musicians, singers, etc on the platform. Only pastors and ministers. The pulpit is not a sacred area LOL. This gave me a good laugh for the day LOL Thanks!

Anonymous said...

I am so glad that we've also graduated from the theories of waiting to be baptized. My husband and I are Children's Pastors in our church and in 3 years 18 juniors have been baptized under our ministry! Our prayer is that they learn who Jesus is and fall in love with him while they are young so that when they are teenagers and young adults that they continue to serve the Lord. If you have an active children's minstry/ youth ministry in your church as well as having God fearing parents that instill the word of God at home in their children, the kids will not backslide. They will make it.

Just my thoughts... =0)

Hello? Is this thing on? said...

I got one! One of the GB members church would pray for those who had minimum wage jobs... "You are not a God of minimum wage" was part of the prayer. I was horrid because alot of us would feel bad, or less of a person/member. Some did not have any green cards or formal education. And others were not even done with college (if we ever went to college).
They even posted up the amount of Thithe that was given by each member, name and all! & that gave way to anger and jealausy between the members.

I also notice the focus on money, not the condition of your soul. Found raising and the like...

The pastors wife would stay with and raise their children 24-7, while the other mothers (dorcas) were encouraged to do more for the church (found raising etc.) at the expense of their home front. These women, unfortunately were blind and started neglecting their families. I saw many kids fail/rebel/become pregnant. It was very sad. Mainly because Mom was too busy with church stuff. In the end, these youth started to detest the church.

I for one left.... Because I could not stand it. And when I carfully asked ?'s, they were blown off. Thats why I left. I was not born again in the Apostolic denomination. I had come from a previous non-denominational church & I saw the apostolic church as part of the "body of Christ". And thats why it was not as hard for me to leave. Thank God! Me and My family still serve the Lord Faithfully.

God bless.

Anonymous said...

Not to fast when ill?? I can think of other reasons not to fast when Ill but not because of God not honoring sacrifice LOL WOW! That is hilarious!

LL said...

re: good old times

The doncellas(young ladies) had a good excuse not to fast!

jose said...

That is true. Growing up in the AA, I did not ever see a woman stand behind the pulpit. The church I was raised at, the piano was not on the platform. A female played the piano. Whenever there was a ladies day or whatever, the speaker did not stand behind the pulpit but in front of it. We were told that only the ministry could be on the platform and pulpit. When I think of that now, I think it's crazy. But when that's all I knew, it was fine and thought that's how it was at other churches.
Quote

Anonymous said...

That is how it was here too. Even during choir practice if there was a smaller pulpit on the main floor used for bible studies or whatever people would tell us not to stand behind it LOL Anyways! In our church now all of the music and us praise singers/choir,sign teams, etc use the platform.

Alot of the younger generation possibly do not know the why's and why not's. Anyhow as a women who came from the AA and now UPC. I've heard several teachings and preachings on the hair. I made the commitment to God about 6 years ago that I would not cut my hair. I have not! That is my commitment to the Lord. I do believe it's biblical when you dig into the scriptures more. Being UPC for the last 3 years, it's only been within the last 2 that the Pastor has given us permission to get rid of the velos and we are now permitted within the last year to wear wedding rings. Althought in regards to sports, etc. Our church plays sports with each other. We have a softball league every year. Co-Ed Even. In the UPC, when you hear the testimonies of mothers who had power on their heads because of the angels and prayed for a sick or dying child and now doctors don't understand how the miracle came to be...It's amazing how important the obedience of not cutting your hair really is...Just thought I would add my thoughts. Not going to preach or anything LOL

How about a watch-ring? It's a watch that just happens to sit on your finger rather than your wrist.

Oh the humanity! The Assembly has indeed come up with the most ridiculous rules. And people have to do the most ridiculous things to get around them.

Hello? Is this thing on? said...

Yeah... we were allowed to wear watches... but when my wife started wearing a really nice gold watch, they did not know what to say... Because it looked like a bracelete. One of the leaders asked "Whats this?!" like if demanding an explenation... Wife simply said "a watch". But was really thinking IN YOUR FACE! I know I know... she's human and enjoyed it... He was angry and didn not know what to say.

HAHA that's a good one! wow i'm glad to be out of the days of legalism. I do think preaching standards from the pulpit definately has its place because it's not preached enough and sadly enough parents stop teaching their kids at home. You have to not just tell them what to do and how to do it but why we do what we do. If you tell them don't wear that or don't do that follow up with reasons why and scripture to back it.

Hello? Is this thing on? said...

Hector... and that was the problem... our hearts did not want to listen.. and insted on working on our hearts/soul/eternity, the put rules and boundaries that only help the image and not the heart. And in the end, we rebel and it get ugly fast.... Verry sad... reminds me of a "Yes sir, whatever you say sir" minister that was sent to the church. And his daughter ran off w some kid...... I saw it comming but was amazed that no one did anything.. not even the dad... forgive me but I think I would have been arested if I was in his shoes and some punk kid tried to mess w/my daughter and my daughter would not have been able to sit straight for a week afte I would have been done with her.

now that is old school! A tradition that works & you can take that to the bank!

The insatiable hunger to look significant and pious will drive you to hide every hint of weakness. But sooner or later, the sickness can no longer be contained and will expose the fact you were a mere human in desperate need of grace the entire time.
