Have you not seen the Rodney King Video? It doesn't matter what the video shows, they were found not guilty.
Do you realize that a very well respected group of pastors just tried to sue our Beloved Assembly and ended up losing their churches. You think our leaders are going to listen to a few foul mouthed, name calling, disrespectful noobs? I think not! You must realize one thing; the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, Inc.(Texas and California) has the legal system behind them.
You can't fight City Hall. I am surprised they sued. I am surprised that some of these pastors are apologizing. "I'm sorry for pointing out how the AA and its constituents were defrauded from a fair election, can I have my church back"? But I do understand why they are apologizing: It is their livelihood at stake. That is very unfortunate because most of these pastors have nothing else to fall back on.
I did read Sister Rita Solomon's letter over on AA.info. She is very well respected, intelligent and well spoken. She articulated very well her feelings and emotions through her ordeal. The anxiety, the unknowing, the embarrassment, the humiliation, the frustration of trying to do what was right and being told you where wrong, the lack of clarity as to what the future holds, being called rebellious. As Bill Clinton said, "I feel your pain".
Now you know what countless other pastors wives, who where excommunicated and removed while your husband was on the General Board and stood their and said nothing, feels like. Welcome to the real world. And I do say that with the utmost respect and admiration for you and your husband's ministry...but it had to be said. This type of politics has been bred in our Assembly, many generations have been through this. You held the reigns and did nothing to change this, not only did you do nothing to change this, you fostered this corruption. You lived high of the hog and now the hog has turned and kicked you out of the pen.
You are free now, there is no need to come back. What are you going to come back to? Its easier to see how dirty things are when your not rolling around in it. Run free and be clean no one can hold property over your head anymore. All the other pastors are held hostage by their properties. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. The truth is that Jesus did not intend for pastors to be slaves to an organization. An organization that can do what it wants, when it wants to whom in wants in the name of Jesus. Pastor's do not realize that they are held captive because of the structure of the AA. It controls the property therefore holds captive its pastors. I may not be Bible scholar but I don't think this is what God intended. It breeds corruption, pride of the flesh.
Back to the Revolutionaries...
If you want to really affect change, you must change from within. Lose the slang, lose the hostility, put on a tie and a suit and STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELF APPROVED. Speak clearly, assertively and with the peace and kindness of Christ. You must grow into a position of respect and admiration, then...when you hold the reigns, you must not let the power go to your head. You must be a giver, not selfish and look out for future generations of Latino's across this country. Not you and your children's fancy houses and cars. This is how we must build wealth, by effecting the lives of others beyond your site and reach. YOU MUST AFFECT THE EFFECT!(That is for Freddie Jose, some of the old timers will understand the FJ reference). It will take time, be steadfast.
I am afraid if you don't, this may be the beginning of the end of our beloved social.

What will happen next? No one knows except for the Lord. What we do know is what has happened in the past. That is why we spend so much time on it. However, we must leave some aspects of the past in the past. I agree that Bro. Sanchez and Bro Valverde should not be re-elected due to bad judgement and neglegance. I agree that we must educate and inform our Pastoral Body. But the bashing and the slandering and fault finding is as worse of a sin as the "Election Fraud". We must not allow the seeds of dissapointment to grow into bitterness and hatred. Real godly maturity is knowing how to act and react to injustices.

I finally got on after many months to see the things that you all have said in regards to our church and us moving on. I am sad to see that things have gone as they have gone because I have friends and family still in the organization. I am not going to knock you all down for anything I know we have made a courageous move.
I have heard things about me personally and even our church. It breaks my heart to know that these comments have come from people we used to call friends.
I am however not sad at the loss of a church because I still love the Lord and so do the many other members of our church. A building is replaceable but the Faith in the Lord is unchangeable. Although many remain nameless I will not. I do not usually get on here. So here I am.

all the children of the church always wanting to be around you. This trait you have inherit from your father. Many times it seemed like we couldn't understand your mother but through time we learned to know and love her because of her caring and loving heart. When someone needed her help she was always ready to lend a hand. Some of us and others have been unfair by judging her which we deeply regret because we didn't know her. She is a woman with great strength and courage who is admired by many and even by those who don't want to admit that she is a great woman. She is not afraid to stand up for what is right. There is not a better word to best describe her but "tough."
I remember once your dad shared with the congregation here at Alpha and Omega with a heavy heart these words as your mother fought cancer "What I am today is first of all because of the Lord and my parents who instructed me but most of all it has been the strength of this woman God has given me that the will of God is being fulfilled in my life."

In the 19 years that Teresa Hairston has published her magazine, GospelToday, she has never faced a major situation with Christian bookstores across the country that carry the publication.
She's tackled any number of issues over the years,and has featured a number of celebrities and ministers, ranging from Yolanda Adams to Bishop T.D. Jakes to Kirk Franklin.
But when the Atlanta, Georgia, entrepreneur decided to feature five female pastors on her cover this month, she says, Lifeway Christian Stores treated her like she had converted her Christian publication to something akin to the tastes of porn purveyor Larry Flynt.
Apparently, the owner of Lifeway, the Southern Baptist Convention, wasn't too happy with Hairston telling the story of female pastors, because the women go against their 2000 decree that only men can serve in the role of reverend or pastor.
"We got an anonymous tip," she told me Tuesday on The Tom Joyner Morning Show, and after checking it out, she discovered that the magazine had been removed from the shelves in all of Lifeway's 100-plus stores nationwide and had been placed behind the counter.
"They have never called me," Hairston said. "Never sent an e-mail. Nothing. I had to go see my distributor to verify what they
A few years ago, my wife was a longtime Lifeway teacher. She had taught at the company's teaching centers for years, but then one day, she was notified that she would have to take down her Web site and comply with their rules against female pastors or be dropped as a teacher. Her crime? Calling herself the Rev. Jacquie Hood Martin.
It wasn't that she did so for the heck of it. She graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; was the first female staff pastor at Houston's Brookhollow Baptist Church/the Church Without Walls, a Southern Baptist Convention church; and has been leading folks to the Lord all over the country for 20 years.
She was angered by Lifeway's decision but made it clear that she didn't serve the bookstore or even the Southern Baptist Convention. She made a commitment to serving Jesus Christ and was not about to back away from her call to ministry because a male-dominated organization decided that its interpretation of the Bible calls for a woman not to be in the pulpit.
So she cut them off and kept on calling herself the Rev. Jacquie Hood Martin.
Religious folks will quickly say that Scripture is clear that women can't be pastors and lead men, yet Hairston says that when she featured

two years ago, Lifeway didn't take any action against the magazine.
Anyone who has served in a church or been a member of any faith knows that there are those who have strict interpretations of their faith's writings, while others have a different interpretation. I've heard Brookhollow's pastor, the Rev. Dr. Ralph Douglas West Sr., preach several sermons stating that what Paul wrote in 2 Timothy with regards to only men preaching was specific to that church and not a blanket ban. Second, there were instances where Paul wrote that his views were his own and not mandates from God.
That is a doctrinal fight that any of us can have any time (and I love it how these same Bible thumpers ignore the biblical story of Deborah, who was a judge in the Old Testament -- and was over men).
But what is a greater issue is that Lifeway clearly has no respect for freedom of the press. Here is arguably the top Christian bookstore in the country making a decision based on their teachings and applying it to a magazine. A spokesman for Lifeway Resources, which runs the stores, was quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last week as saying of female pastors, "It is contrary to what we believe."
So does Lifeway and, by extension, the Southern Baptist Convention, fight vigorously for freedom of religion, but it doesn't give a hoot about the other freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution?
This is the kind of nonsense that drives more people away from religion. I suppose it's fitting that this story would come out the same time as Bill Maher releases his religious documentary, "Religulous," which skewers all the major religions for their dogma. I'm sure he feasted on positions of the Southern Baptist Convention.
The conduct of Lifeway and the Southern Baptist Convention is shameful, and they owe Hairston an apology for their actions. Yet she's taken it in stride, saying that instead of giving the company hell, she'll "give them heaven."
I say, give them a lot of hell for this, because they deserve it for actions.

This is a very sad blog to think that you all get together and argue amongst yourselves about issues going on within the assembly, and by some of your comments you can tell that there is bitterness and hatred. There are those of you here who by your comments reveal that you don't wish to help and build up the church, but you just seek to tear down the assembly. You are bad mouthing and slamming men who have done you personally no wrong, and have lost your faith in God, if you had any faith in God you would trust in Him to work everything out and not resort to tearing these men down regardless of the wrong that they have done. Not even David would touch the Lord's anointed when Saul was chasing him to kill him, despite Saul chasing David and trying to kill him David still considered Saul "the Lord's anointed," and yet you all "murder" these men with your tongue on a daily basis. I do not agree with what was done during the elections, but I can not speak against these men who are still the Lord's anointed. I can only pray for our leaders and believe that the Lord's Will be done.

The "thing I have with Steve Ares", is that he and I were in Sunday school together at El Siloe.
He left the AA because he told me he was 'fed up with the AA politics.
He found out at a very early age, in his teens all the 'scoop" from his uncle D. Jauhall who is brother to Steve's mother. Steve's father volunteered at the Baldemar's administration for years, just to get the 'scoop on all the gossip."
When Baldemar removed D. Jauhall from AA board, Steve's father continued to 'volunteer there for many years. Took GBM to the "airport, back and forth, brought them breakfast, lunch and dinner. Shined their shoes for the GBM and 'scattered all the 'gossip to Steve's mother who in turn would tell the world of the AA of the 'juicios, cambios de pastores, and all the rest of the gossip. AA.
So now, that the AA is in a 'crises' steve has the nerve to contribute his ' statements. When his uncle, his father and mother only used the AA for gossip and self gorification.
Now Steve's father is a'mandadero of Sanchez, at the Whittier church.

Looks like Marcelino Leyva and Roy Roger Almendarez have been rejected by the National board to become the next Pastor of the current Midland Church. We also here that there were only 25 people from Midland at that church.

I am deeply saddened that this blog exists. I say this because if we did not have the trials that we are now experiencing in our assembly, then there would be no need for this blog.
I have been “raised” in the church. I have attended the same church my whole life, and have been under the same pastor. I would rather not give any more information about myself because my family has a history that is known throughout the assembly. I will let you fill in the blank as to whether that is a good or bad history. I hope you will trust that what I am saying is truth. I have no reason to lie and make myself sound well-known throughout the assembly. I have never used my family to get a position in the church. I do serve as a leader and thank God that he has provided me the opportunity to serve him through that position. I say all this not to boast, but to hopefully encourage somebody who has found themselves with doubts and questions regarding the future of our assembly. I love the Apostolic Assembly. Though some might say this is ridiculous I will repeat it to everyone. I have an awesome man of God as my pastor and wonderful ministers as my leaders.
I believe that the Lord is preparing His church for a change. I believe he is doing it through our young people. I can tell you that there is a group of young people who have decided to serve the Lord and give all to serve Him. I say this with full confidence, because I believe I have these young people in my local church. I believe these young people have decided not to conform to this world, but to stand for Christ. These young people are fully aware of the state of our Assembly and the wrong doing that was done by our General Board. I say our General Board because I still see these men as my God appointed leaders. The Bible has given me many examples of men who were appointed by God as leaders and men of influence and still had done wrong. I believe that young people are coming up in our assembly who are currently being molded by God to become great leaders and will allow themselves to be used by God and be careful to give Him all honor and glory. I encourage myself with the story of Elijah who when he felt alone and he was facing Jezebel by himself the Lord told him that he still had a remnant of believers who were in hiding.
I believe our Assembly has become to relaxed in our standards. I know that in this day that is not a popular teaching, but I believe we have lost our holiness standards. People want to relax on holiness teachings and standards, but without it the Bible says that no man shall see God. The Bible says to abstain from all appearance of evil, I believe my church is one of the strictest in our holiness standards! My pastor still teaches against t.v., he preaches against movies and secular music that does not bring glory to God, and our young people back him up.
I don’t say all this to boast about my church, pastor and young people. I believe that we are in times like Elijah. We are facing an enemy and at times we feel alone. I pray that somebody would see my church as the “remnant” of believers who still hold on to our “old school” standards. I pray that more would stand up and encourage each other on this site, just as I tried to do. I hope to encourage somebody to continue to pray for our General Board, that God would guide us all unto truth. I pray for Brother’s Solomon and Rodriguez and their new work. I believe we are still part of God’s body, and what we need is not gossiping on a website, or “murdering” our preachers with our tongues, but we need a church that will pray to God for direction.

I am glad you read your post. I feel as you do in many respects. I ask, where is your church found? I reside in California, specifically the Los Angeles area.
To those that want to know. I just got a call from my cuz in Colorado and said that the Summit is going as well as they thought it would go. He says he is suprise to see many pastors that he thought were with the AA that have come from all over the country. They keep arriving every hour. People what does that tell you? Pastors and minister are finally getting tired of all this corruption and are wanting to get out! I wish I could have been there but I had to work. Word is that are meeting at this very moment. I will keep you all posted as more info. is being sent from my cousin from the great state of Colorado.

All i know is that this has to happen. I have also been in the Apostolic church since before i was born, but Jesus formed the CHURCH not a corperation. That should explain everything.

there you go again, for your information, oh yeah, you are no longer part of the Assembly, so I guess you did not know that our churches from around the area showed up to show our support to the Hnos. that did not go with Pastor Abel Torres.

Do you think it is that simple to hide the feelings,emotions,good times,bad times,etc that people like "caminando voy" had during the time spent with the actual Midland church and the church building all those years? Lots of $$ lost,hurt people on both sides even though everyone had to do what they had to do.

I’m glad we can can discuss the current affairs of the assembly without resorting to name calling and arguing. I take it from your vietnam reference that you have a few years on me so you are deserving of respect, since you are my elder and I do not wish to argue with anyone. I enjoy having a discussion about matters without resorting to an argument. I wish others that post here could do the same.
I think we can both agree that the cause of these problems that we are having in the Assembly arises not only from the General Board, but also from the lawsuit that was brought against them. It does not matter that the outcome of the election was manipulated by the Board, bringing a lawsuit against them was directly in contradiction with what Paul teaches in I Cor. 6:7. I wish I had an answer as to what should have been done, but I don’t I can just follow the Bible.
I do agree with you that the administration of the church can be a weakness if not taken seriously and in a spiritual manner. I think the last thing we need are “politics” in the church. I do not want to follow a leader who has campaigned for a position or a church. I have experienced that in the church and have never seen the christians stay in the church or prosper. I do have to say that the church does need administration though. We can see an example in the Word of God, through the life of Moses and in the New Testament when deacons are set aside.
I can’t say that these men have feelings of jealousy, because I don’t know them personally nor have I met them. I assume you know them better than I, from the way you have talked about them. I can only use Biblical examples to draw comparisons. I can say that if they do have feelings of jealousy and are worried about their ego, then they should be very careful. Saul experienced first anger when David killed Goliath, then the Bible says he feared David (I Sam. 18:12) This is when his downfall began.
I must still address Pastor Daniel Sanchez as my President, because I am still a part of the Assembly. If I leave then he is not my President and I can address him as Brother Sanchez, but I don’t plan to leave.

I agree with you that the General Board does not go out of their way to greet the young people, but there are many members in the churches in our assembly who do not greet the young people! As a young person and a youth leader I have that there is a gap between the parents in the church and the young people. It is not just between the GB and the youth. The church today will lose their young people if this gap is not bridged, I see it happening today.
I agree with you that the GB is not like David, but I was not comparing them to David; I was comparing the bloggers on this site to David. We should not feel free to slam the GB and pastors because we have anonymity. The Lord sees what is going on lest we forget Gal. 6:7 “ Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
The GB and the bloggers on this site will reap what they sow. Unless you don’t believe the Word of God.
I do not agree with you that... “So Joven confused. The only WAY "these men" will let go is to "expose them, day and night.” It is not mine or your place to expose these men. In John 8 the Scribes and Pharisee’s bring a woman caught in adultery to Jesus and he says “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” Last time I checked I was with sin although I strive for holiness. I can only quote Jesus and say that those of you on this site who are without sin can point a finger at the GB and judge them.
I’m sorry that I can’t comment on the situation in Midland or the salaries of the GB, because I’m not familiar with what is going on down there and I have not read any reports regarding their salaries.
I can only pray that the Will of God be done through this situation, we may not understand it, but I find encouragement in the story of the crucifixion. It was through the betrayal and wrong done by Judas that Jesus was brought to the cross and through his death was glorified. I believe that through this wrong God will ultimately be glorified. If we had our way none of this would have gone on, but God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Why is the church going through this? Only God knows. Even when towers fell in Luke 13 and the people want answers, Jesus basically tells them to worry about themselves. I can only worry about my spiritual life and relationship with God and not let the wrongdoing of men affect me.

I am in favor of those pastors who left the AA (or kicked out -- whatever your view) to start a new Organization. I do believe that there every church should have a organization covering. For support, fellowship, etc, etc.
However, I am curious as to our bloggers thoughts on these questions....
1. Considering that 2 of the 4 main leaders of this "new apostolic" movement have had a combined, near 30 yrs on the General Board (I don't know how many years as sector elders, district bishops)....Do you really feel that they are going to bring something fresh and new?

After I read your post I called a friend in Denver that was at the summit and asked about the activity. He said, "its been AWSOME!" The conference by S. Mendoza on law and legal issues was very informative and insightful. He said he had NEVER heard anything like the conference M. Hernandez gave, very well done insigtful and biblicaly sound WOW!. And the preaching by D.Zuniga he said, "WOW what a message, the preaching and the service was annointed!"
I may not be converted, but I think with this new organization I just might join and actually serve the lord. keep us informed please. I know I'll be calling my friend today for some more updates.

Please consider that I am all for a new organization, but I hope that people are not caught up on "new ideas" or "new rules" because the same shall apply. Baldimar and Soloman bring 30+ yrs of General Board experience, as well as over 60+ yrs Apostolic pastoral experience. Both are well into their retirement yrs. So i seriously doubt that anything "new" or "fresh" will come from them. This is not to say that God can't use them for direction (which I believe that He can and will). But as far as getting rid of "old fashioned" stuff...sorry...but not going to happen...

I could not agree with you more that his message was out of context. not worry I took Bro Danny Odels class at CLC, and he beat context into us. I also took Bro Seagraves class at CLC. His famous line was "Context, Context Context."
However, just because a story from the Bible is taken out of context, it doesnt mean the message was invalid. If that were true, we should probably all just pack it up and backslide, as many messages preached across our pulpits are out of context.
The message was about change and leaving the past behind. Leaving the days of slavery and bondage. And removing from our selves the things that stick to us like culture and tradition.
As far as the Message about Women in Ministry, I see where you are coming from, but dont completely agree. In order for a Hispanic Audience of mainly men to embrace (or even begin and embrace) Female Ministry, it must be delivered by a man. If Sis Salomon would have trotted up to the pulpit, I think it would have gone over like a lead balloon. Lets face it, Women in ministry will take a while to get off the ground and many churches who join this organization will not have female ministers, but over time it will begin to introduce itself into the body.
But Hey... Good lookin out! Your Biblical wisdom is much appreciated. And I really mean that. We dont see much Bible Based opinion on here (including mine). its mostly rhetoric and opinion (including mine).

Thanks for the update on what is going on in Denver. Hopefully, you will continue to post more on what is occurring through out the summit.
Why would you want to charge for the podcast? I do know that the money is not going into your pocket but to help support the new association. I do see your good heart in wanting to help but something's are okay to go out for free. This can be a good way for the message and the "word" of this new association to be spread out. If you begin to charge for everything (like the AA does) your message will not reach it's potential audience. This is just a thought.

Honestly, I have gone back and forth on charging for the Podcast. However, The cost will be very nominal, and go towards a great cause. You will be able to pay via credit/atm card, and it should be pretty painless.
Plus... it kinda makes me smile to think someone from the DGB will have to purchase the Podcast, and have their money go the new organization.

In her book "Just give me Jesus",
she wrote that once she was to speak at a men's conference in an Anglo Saxon organization consisting of all men.
Apparently the men did not know she was going to speak.
She stated in her book, that when she reach the "Podium" and began to speak, every single one of those men, apparently there were about 200 "So called Christian Men ",
"Turned" every single one of those "chairs" and all the time she was speaking, which she did continue to do so;
The men sat there will their backs toward her.

I am not against the new Org. I am for unity of brethern, and I would hate for any church to go inde.
However, I wouldn't want the expectation to be too high, like God now favors one and not the other.
I'd like to think that God can bless both. I'd also like to think that there are enough souls in the world that we can both chase after.

You apparently are dependent on the Hierarchy System, as in place with the AA. In that system you find yourself in this type of situation. Where the head rules and dominates of the body.
The new Org will not be a Hierarchy System, Rather a Fellowship System. Sure, both systems have their flaws, but at least in the Fellowship you dont have the Tithe of Tithe law. rather giving is based on personal inspiration, and offerings at events.
I know this is a little different than what most Apostolics are used to, hence the amount of push back. Most Apostolics wouldnt know what to do, if they didnt have a GB looking over their shoulder. Without the constant involvement of a distant board most Pastors might find themselves a little lost at first. But over time Ministers will embrace the Fellowship style, and find themselves not following the direction of Man, but rather the direction of God.

Would you just quit jumping the gun. You are assuming that Bro. Baldemar is even going to be president. I heard a couple of months back that he preferred not to hold that position. He's already worked in that capacity a long time. So why don't you just wait and see what really happens before judging. We already know what's going on in the AA and its not good so let's wait and see how this organization works out.

Do you think he woke up one day as the Bishop and declared to the AA he was instituting a new giving system??? No I am afraid not. Rather he followed the lead of the previous leadership and founders of the AA and collected funds as the constitution declared.
You are smitten by the hierarchy system. Which works for MANY organizations. Southern Baptist, United Methodist, Presbyterian, just to name a few. The Tithe of Tithe is not a AA system. Rather this is a system from way earlier than the AA.
A Fellowship system allows for some other things to happen.
Ultimately, unless you are here listening to this symposium of Apostolics in favor of a new way of life, you really cant comment.
If you are really, honestly in favor of a new fellowship, I say support it, and give good criticism, rather than assumptions and negativity.

sorry Brother..but you are wrong. If you were correct, then he would not have called the cops to lock up church buildings that didn't pay their 'tithe of tithe'.

Heres the deal... The hierarchy system as it stood made it justifiable for him to do what the AA Constitution allowed for people who didnt pay the tithe of tithe. He wasnt the system, rather he was following the system as it was written. Following it as it had been followed by the men before him. Was it right??? I dunno. But he just did as he was instructed by the constitution.
Now that there is a new constitution on its way, the tithe of tithe will not be ionvolved. As there are 5 men who will be on the council. 4 of which were never the Bishop. These men will have equal authority.
Once again, I understand that all you really have to go off is the Past, but the past is the exact reason this new org is being established.

For the Apostolic Brethren this is very hard to find, the same experience they had with the services of Brother L. Sepulveda.

When you get off the 210 Freeway, go toward the Mountains on Sierra Madre Boulevard.
Quite a distance going through, a large neighborhood of homes, that in reality go into the City of Sierra Madre. The streets are NOT WITH VERY MUCH LIGHT.
AND IF YOU GO TOO FAST YOU WILL MISS THE CHURCH THAT IS BEHIND MANY TREES.
But of coursse with the "navigatorss'' in your cars this will be easy access.
There are "no restaurants, around there, they are either in Pasadena or in Arcadia. Quite a distance
most are closed at that hour.
If you go back on Sierra Madre Boulevard to the 210 Freeway go "West" on the 210 to Pasadena, and get off on "Lake avenue, by the "big tall church" Lake Avenue Church, you must make a "left on Lake and there you will find two
restaurants. But they also 'close" early.
You can go left on Lake to Colorado Boulevard, actually about three blocks and make a right ON COLORADO BOULVEVARD.
Go about three miles on Colorado Boulevard, over the 'rail road tracks' to "Old Town".
You will have problems with "parking".
Be careful, don't let Pasadena fool you there is alot of "hidden"
crime in that area.".

The Hotels on the list are also quite far from the Nazarene Church because this church is really in a "residental neighborhood.
When you go back on Sierra Madre Boulevard to the 210 Freeway go "West" on the 210 to Pasadena, and get off on "Lake avenue, by the "big tall church" Lake Avenue Church, you must make a "left on Lake and there you will find two
restaurants. But they also 'close" early.
You can go left on Lake to Colorado Boulevard, actually about three blocks and make a right ON COLORADO BOULVEVARD.
Go about three miles on Colorado Boulevard, over the 'rail road tracks' to "Old Town".
You will have problems with "parking".
Be careful, don't let Pasadena fool you there is alot of "hidden"
crime in that area.".

Perhaps Art Tafoya has learned a lesson. Sometimes a tough experience will humble a person as nothing else will. You would think that after all the gb has done and been through they would do a little bit of humbling themselves yet they continue to rule heartlessly and without remorse.
I guess time will tell. I do hear that Art Tafoya is a different man, gone is the arrogance that some saw. He's had to swallow some bitter pills and it proved to be his undoing, but perhaps if God can forgive him so can others.

We need to see what the foundation of the new organization is going to be like before we rush to judgements.
We all know that for any organization to work it needs money. If the things that causes greed to easily grow are not taken care of, for sure problems will arise, but prayerfully all these things will be examined and taken care of so thing will move a lot smoother. I think greed became so rampant in the current AA. I may be wrong but thats what I've noticed.

I was one of the pastors there and the only ones that were there from Arizona were Pastor Tofoya's family and friends. I know quite a few of them from Arizona and there was no one else but the people I mention above. I was sitting in the back row with my wife and I didn't see anyone get up. I didn't go to the Summit. I am disappointed that my Pastor and Baldemar allowed a back stabbing Judas(Tafoya) on the leadership board.
But I'm just a Domingero, the running of the church and organization is someone else's job.
Here is something that no one is taking notice of if the Plaintiffs did not allow Art Tafoya back then they would be no better than the AA GB.
In fact if they had not allowed Art Tafoya back everyone would have claimed that they are guilty of doing the same thing.
Any of us that Get mad because of Art Tafoya being there well sad to say we are no better than the AA.
We have to move on with God's purpose and not focus on the flaws of others if we do focus on the flaws then we are no better than the AA GB, After all is that not their concept they had if you do not agree then we will just get rid of you.

I haven't been with the AA for about 9 years now. I was with the assembly for about 16 years. Even though I left the assembly I feel really bad for what is going on right now. Brother Aguilar was my pastor when he was in San Jose. Brother Sanchez and brother Valverde were my teachers when I went to CBAN. I left CBAN and went to CLC. Although I admired and loved them I just felt that I was not learning enough (Nothing personal). I have been reading these blogs and it is still very difficult for me to believe that these men are capable of doing something like this.
I have been praying for the men that got booted from the assembly. I can't imagine the pain that they and their families felt when they lost everything that they had worked so hard for. At the same time I feel that this is the will of God. To many brethren have been left out in the cold just for trying to do the will of God. So, I encourage all of you brothers that left the assembly to be sensitive to the will of God, and please do it right this time.
He(Tafoya) should be allowed in the new organization. But is it a wise decision to have him as a leader, knowing his record.
It will be interesting to see how this mess unfolds. I mean the whole mess in church and the world.

I don't know the answer to all your other questions. You have a lot of concerns maybe you should have made a good effort to be there. No one said this organization was going to be magical or perfect and without problems. It is the organization of the Pastors who were ousted and all who desired to follow them. Did you expect them to sit at home and cry? They were ousted, they had to do something. I'm glad they're staying together and adhering to the same doctrine and moving forth.

If none of this was done, then these men were infact after one thing: a position.
When our great country was founded, the foundation was constructed before a single man was appointed or elected. The founding fathers had the ability to know to see and know that it is human tendency to wrestle for power and created a document to contral the power grab...or attempt to.
These men seemed to have placed themselves into position first and haven't even addressed the organizational structure. They need to create the structure first with input from other ministers, pastors, civic leaders and lay people. They need to make sure the new apostolic organization is biblically based, not traditionally based. There is not a need for another Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus. We already have one of those.
The need is for a Hispanic Apostolic organization that loves, teaches and focuses on EDUCATING the projected racial majority for the next 100 years.
But it looks like they have already put the cart before the horse. This is what happens when an individual looks to further their own agenda instead of God's agenda.
They are already off to a bad start. However, there is still time to do the right thing...unless all they really wanted was a position.
Why do you ask all the questions and don't wait for an answer before making all your assumptions?

To Thought for the Day...you asked what did Tafoya do? Well let me enlighten you..he is currently under investigation for embezeling over $400,000.00 from the Arizona District. Over $100,000.00 found within hours of audit been initiated. Left his church with 91 cents, did an online transfer before the church treasure got to the account. Took instruments and equipment bought with an American Express card paid for by the church, after announcing to his congregation that the equipment belonged to the church. Church electricity had been disconnected & a lock had been placed, Tafoya cut off the lock to call a meeting @ the church. Considered traspassing in the state of Arizona. Left the district fund penniless and the insurance for the Arizona District Camp months behind because he instructed the treasure not to pay the premium. The current camp conditions are so bad that the state inspectors have condemned several cabins, and the kitchen must have ten of thousands of dollars of repairs before another camp can be held, or the entire camp grounds may be closed down. Our questions is what happened to all the camp monies that have come in for these past several years? What happened to all the proceeds that came in from the snack bar that was run by his sister Rosalie?. This is not one incident this was approximately a six year on going crime. This is a wolf dressed in sheeps clothing along with his wife. Yet this man own's 4 homes, drives an Escalade, has quads, jet ski's and who knows what else. He defrauded the Arizona District and the Glendale Church. I won't be surprised if he is convicted and has to do time for these crimes. And you ask what Tafoya has done????
Bro. Solomon, Bro. Torres, and Bro. Rodriquez, if this man is indeed part of your administration, it would behoove you to reconsider. You do not want to start an organization with a blemish of this magnitude. Saints of God are looking for an organization with integrity.

Just talked to my mother-in-law in Midland and she said they had an awesome service with more than 500 in attendance at their Sunday service with Pastor Torres. WOW!!! Last week was 400. What is going on there?? This is just a confirmation from the Lord that he is with them. According to mom souls keep on coming and people are seeking to be restored because they know this is the place where they have a chance to make things right with God. Folks do you remember who presented the document on restoration in 2006 at the electoral convention in Long Beach? None other than Pastor Torres and now it makes sense.

You must remember that Art Tafoya and Sam Valverde were the best of friends at one time. I was told by a releiable source that Art and Sam were seen at an airport wearing shorts as they traveled to some vacation distination.
I am sure that the AA was advised of wrong doings. However we know that the AA will only start investigations or audits when it is convenient for them, or when they think someone has turned on them. That is why someone needs to do an investigation on the AA. We know the pastors will not do it. Some are sincere and want to leave things up to the Lord. Others are fearful or part of the corruption. I still think someone with enough information on these men should call CNN. They are investigating Wall Street, Why not the AA.

Caminando Voy: One more thing to add to your comment before I call it a night. I have been reading a book on the early church when the christians were persecuted and killed by the ROMAN-OS. It is ironic how the Odessa Church and the ROMAN-OS have so much in common. The book mentions how they would pack the Colossuems to be entertained as they watched the christians being tortured and killed by the lions. Talk about thirsty for blood! Sad,sad,sad!!

Yeah, and someone said that what was even sadder is that the Odessa drama queens were spread out all over the church (that they never even visited before) and the Midland members who stayed behind were sitting waaaay in the back like a sad little bunch (as if they were the visitors). Of course the Leyva men were mad cause they thought they were going to be the ones in charge so I guess they were pouting. Go figure.

i dunno, the fellowship between Odessa and Midland was really good in the days of Bishop Valentin Torres. the only changed variable has been AT....hmmmm
where's the variable again...enough said.
and if the word of God (scripture) is torturous to you, then you need deliverance. I am sure your Pastor can cast those demons out, but remember some will only come out with prayer and fasting.

Nope the fellowship has always been what it is because of ya'll's jealousy towards Midland. But that didn't hold you back on Wednesday did it? All of a sudden you all just dropped everything in the middle of the week and came running to Midland with your video cam and all. Drama Queens!

To Caminando Voy and those that care to play the quessing game "Who in the world is Gq1973." Facts are it's coming from Odessa. It surely can't be the 2nd church because from what I hear the members there are computer illiterate. I really doubt it's coming from any of the congregations from the UPC in Odessa. They have to much going on for them to be wasting their time on gossip. So people it's a no brainer to know it's coming from
1st OGH, "Odessa Gossipers Headquarters."

and like i mentioned before, the surrounding Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, Inc. churches already knew that Obispo Pacheco and Aguilar were going to be there. that was not a secret, even Obispo Pacheco mentioned the support of the "iglesias circumvecinas"- i think that is how you spell it.
and I don't have any demons, I can actually say Jesus is Lord, and not man, with all of my heart.

it was nice to see the board of directors minus sanchez last night

was up with all the chisme on odessa church .... move on from that tamal already.. Get used to the fact that all that’s going to happen now is going to be chismes on why you left the modern assemblea. Besides sounds like those churches got stuck in the 50s.. so come on lets move on..
Ask better questions about the new organization like....
1.IF your pastor gets into trouble is the church going to be under his name? 2.Will he sing up a document saying that if he is found to be sinning with solid proof of immorality or was found spending the churches money on things he was not suppost to (VEgas, buying multiple real state deals like Pachecho to make millions)how will the new organization deal with such issues.. I have known of pastors who own the church that they attend so they really can’t be taken out because they own the building....
3. I hope they avoid the mentality of being a church of 20 years with 200 members or less.
