you said, "In the book of Revelations out of the seven churches mentioned of Asia Minor the one in worst spiritual condition is Laodicea. It is a sinful lukewarm church, rich in money but poor spiritually. This church received the strongest rebuke of Jesus. Rev. 3:14

Well guess what Laodicea means: It means people rule or in other words DEMOCRACY."

You can either face up to your choice of syntax which implies that the church of Laodicea received the strongest rebuke of Jesus because they were democratic and cede the point, or you can be like all the other people who hate being proved wrong and say, "I didn't say those exact words."

Secondly, since you like to reference only concordances, the phrase "serve the tables" in book of Acts has nothing to do with serving food. It meant that the deacons would evenly distribute the economic assitance among the widows of the church.

If you read this in all of its context, you will understand that the Twelve had decided NOT to govern the church, but to dedicate themselves to studying and preaching the Gospel of Salvation. They left the governance of the tithes and offerings (which is basically what governments are elected to do: spend tax money properly) to other SPIRIT FILLED people, so that Twelve could focus on preaching salvation.

Yes, Paul was chosen directly by God, but not to Govern any church. As a student of the Bible, you know very well, Paul was not even a pastor. He was a missionary and an evangelist. He had no political ties. He did not bother himself with the politics of the church. He merely advised those who desired the office of bishop to maintain a squeaky clean reputation.

If Paul were alive today, he would have spoken out against any indiscretions by the church politicians many years ago, just as he withstood Peter to his face, and either they would have listened to him and changed their ways, or they would have excommunicated him.

God Bless You.

PtL loved ones:

I am saddened to learn of everything that is going on with our leaders. But as I read this blog I became even more saddened to read all of the disrespect towards the GB. I know you find yourselves justifying your rudeness by commenting on what the GB is doing but let me remind you of I Samuel 24.

David was in a far worse position that these ousted pastors are. David's life was in danger and even though he had the opportunity he did not dare lift up a finger against the man who had been annointed by God. It didn't matter that God had already rejected King Saul. Let us not make the mistake of thinking that two wrongs make a right.

Let us come together as a church and pray for them if we think they are wrong and allow God to do as HE choses to do instead of trying to tell Him what to do or how to do it.

GbY and may the Lord help us all

facts only 1:

You said,

"3. There is no coincidence in the Bible, when it mentions the church of Laodicea (people rule) as the worst in Revelations there’s a purpose.

First of all, your assertion that it was the worst church in the Revelations is merely your opinion, not a fact.

"The people ruled not God."

More speculation. There is no proof that Laodicea was a democracy. Just because the city next to Ontario is called Chino doesn't mean that it is populated by Chinese.

"I know someone who was fired by the church in another denomination because he was preaching against fornication but since that church was democratic the church voted him out."

Personal anecdotes are not considered facts by any respectable researchers. Everybody knows a story about a single person which they use to try to prove their point.

"Do you see why the governing body of the church cannot be democratic?"

Well that's funny, I thought you supported the GB. They were voted in democratically. Make up your freakin' mind!

Look, Brother, the only fact here is, you're only interested in trying to prove people wrong, not in having progressive, meaningful conversation.

Before you continue to try to make people feel stupid by telling them to get their facts straight, get your head on straight, or you'll keep on contradicting yourself.

God Bless You.

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch.

The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboyas a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rosequickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-bakedschemes.

Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty oldman and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, JohnDough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 350 for about 20 minutes. If this made you smile for even a brief second, please rise to the occasion and take time to pass it on to share that smile with someone elsewho may be having a crumby day and kneads it.

Also, go ahead and wait until people respond to your posts rather than posting a comment in response to your own post. Example: "As you can see, we all can find scriptures to justify our actions..."

He's showing how to act like the GB.

1) Decide who you want with you
2) Let all the tithe paying Pastors and members think they matter
3) Disregard their votes and follow your own convicts
4) If questioned, investigate yourself and find everything to be okay!
5) Take God completely out of the equation and remove anyone that believes in Jesus.
6) Plan a strategy to remove Jesus - Call it the 'Jesus Strategy'
7) Use meeting to help trembling Pastors believe g.o.d. instead of God

"AA DEVILS Rule because we let them"

Why is it that everyone feels the GB and God's anointed can not be questioned?

Is that the kind of God we serve? No questions asked just do as I tell you? Obviously God gives us "Free Will" so he knows there are going to be times that we ask him questions when we don't understand. Yet, God is still there and will never leave us or let us go.

You would think the GB would take this example of God. Instead, they live in the Old Testament and forgot that God tore the veil and God's grace reigns.

factsonly1 mentions that Pacheco served under Dr.Baldemar while he committed his fraud. I would have to say that Dr. Baldemar demonstrated forgiveness and grace from God instead of kicking Pacheco out of the AA.

Internal Conflicts

On Friday November 24, 2006 in Long Beach, California General Board Elections were held. Since then, a group of Bishops and pastors, within the Apostolic Assembly, have stated that the Qualifying Board committed numerous violations; therefore, the results of said election are thought to be invalid.

A request sent by a bishop in the form of a letter petitioning the present Honorable General Board of the Apostolic Assembly to establish a Commission of Honor and Justice (Article 39 of the Constitution of the Apostolic Assembly) to investigate these allegations was refused. The bishop who wrote the request was advised since there was no wrongdoing; there was no need for an investigation. Immediately thereafter, the Honorable General Board called a Joint Episcopal Meeting to announce that everything was under control.

Due to the allegations of election irregularities, a lawsuit was filed by a group of Bishops and pastors, within the Apostolic Assembly, with the Superior Court of the State of California. The Superior Court determined that the Apostolic Assembly was within their rights to make these decisions. The Apostolic Assembly has been accused of mismanagement of funds, keeping the leadership positions within "the family" and handing contracts to family and friends without proper bids. As a result of this conflict, at least one church in Denver, pastored by a defendant in the afore mentioned trial, was seized by the Apostolic Assembly on July 30th, 2008 with the accompaniment of police

You said:

Response: Governing the church is not just administrating money. A local treasurer can do that. The job of the Apostles was to pray, preach the word, disciple, lead the church, resolve the problems that arose in the church, send out missionaries, supervise the church....

Is that all government does? decide how to spend money? I don't think so. They are supposed to make laws, execute laws, interpret laws, protect our country...

On one point I agree with you that if Paul was here he would have spoken out against the indescretions of our leaders, but one thing for sure he would have NEVER sued the church leaders in a worldly court. As a matter of fact he taught againsts that.

Response to your next comments.

Yes Laodicea is the church in worst shape. While other churches mentioned, some are not even reprimanded. Others are commended on some things but reprimanded for other things. Laodicea though is commended on nothing only reprimanded. It's not my opinion the evidence is there.

In the Bible many times names of people and cities give some revelation of them to help us understand. There is so many examples of this but if you don't want to accept it fine.

This is not just a personal anecdote, If you research the polity of churches there's to types: Congregationalist and Episcopal (not referring to denominational names). Congregationalist is where the congregation governs (democracy)and Episcopal is where bishops govern (people called of God to govern). Most Baptist are Congregationalist and the laity make the decisions including firing and hiring the pastors.

The structure of AA is Episcopal and bishops are elected by pastors not laity.

Is all the bashing of the general board progressive talk?

I'm sorry you felt offended by my previous postings.

RESPONSE TO A. MIKE

Response to Pacheco’s Associates

"I have read the dim-witted posts of anonymous writers on this site as well as on other blogs. I have held my peace despite the many people who choose to attempt to defame the character of certain men of God. I figured that most of the disrespectful posts were from unintelligent youth that have no fear of God. Most of the bloggers write without thinking of the repercussions their hateful words may have. They spare no one in the attempt to slander the men they think are responsible for the election issues. These blogs are more than just unhappy, discontent, dissatisfied members of the AA. They are from bloggers that have allowed the seeds of bitterness to grow and take roots in their hearts. They parade their pharisaical ideologies in an attempt to poison the body of Christ."

QUESTIONS:

Did not Mr. Edward Pacheco, while a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Jesus Christ, Inc, Associate with Ms. Bernice Molina Salcido in the Car Scam Program?

Did not Mr. Edward Pacheco, while a a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc, make presentations in Apostolic Assembly Churches for the Car Scam?

Did not Edward Pacheco while a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc, solicit money for cars that were never delivered?

Did not Mr. Edward Pacheco, while a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc refuse to repay his victims?

Did not Mr. Edward Pacheco while a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith of Jesus Christ Inc., solicit CASH ONLY Payments for the Car Scam?

Did not Mr. Edward Pacheco, while a Licensed Minister and Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc all of a sudden relocate to foreign soil to avoid prosecution by Arizona and Federal Authorities?

“Pacheco’s Associate” post is a prime example of how hateful the chaff amongst the wheat can be. They cause division amongst the children of God. They are nothing more than wolves in sheep’s clothing attempting to destroy what the Lord Himself has built.

The document posted about Rogelio Alvarez is true…. FACT
Pastor Edward Pacheco is affiliated with Rogelio Alvarez…. FACT

Who is Rogelio Garduno Alvarez? Rogelio is actually a Minister at Corona church where Edward Pacheco serves as the Pastor. He was baptized on 12/31/1999. He was set aside to the ministry on 07/03. Later, he was ordained as a minister on 07/05. I know this because I have access to the ministerial licensing files. This information is not difficult to verify if you wish to do so.

This information in the “Pacheco’s Associate” post is not new to me nor to many others. In fact, I have come to know Bro. Roger (As I have many of the ministers in the district). I have heard his TESTIMONY directly from his mouth while the tears rolled down the contours of his face. While in the world he made many bad decisions that propelled him into the prosperity of an industrious brokerage. However, as proven by the court documents, he did not always follow the letter of the law. In fact, this experience is what lead him to the feet of Christ. He came to Christ in a state of complete brokenness and humility. Having lost everything, Christ was his only way out.

The fact that the author of this original post has attempted to defame the character of Pastor Pacheco by dragging his “associate” through the mud is detestable. Did not Christ make it a point to sit and eat with the Publicans and the sinners? Are you ignorant to the fact that the AA is littered with people who were once the worst this world could offer and are now teachers and preachers? Many came to Christ desolate and destitute and received the mercy of God. Who are you to point out the faults that the blood of Christ has already covered? Do you not have any moral values at all? And you have the audacity to question the integrity of others…Please! In due time you will reap what you have sowed for His word will always come to pass. Let God be true and all men liars!!!

I urge all others in the love of Christ to think before you post something as vile and despicable as the author of “Pacheco’s Associate” did. God Bless, A Mike

Allow me to Retort…..

Slander as defined in Tort Law, is a lie that is spoken with the intent to defame an individual’s character done in such a manner as to hurt that individual reputation that results in financial damages. However, what we have here are written words, that, if untrue, and written in wanton disregard for the truth, would qualify for Libel.

In slander and libel, the Truth is always a valid defense. Therefore, your attempt to qualify my written statements as slander is as uneducated as it gets.

What have I said that is NOT TRUE? I made statements that are well known and public information. The documentation I provided is open to the Public in accordance with the law so that the General Public can be protected.

My statements regarding Mr. Edward Pacheco are true. I am fully convinced that Mr. Edward Pacheco uses his position as a Licensed Minister/Pastor of the Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Jesus Christ Inc, solely for his own personal gain.

i.e. the purchase of numerous luxury homes in the last 2 years.

I point out Mr. Edward Pacheco’s Associations with Convicted Felons, Bernice Molina Salcido(Convicted in Maricopa County Superior Court, Arizona for FRAUD in the Car Scam) and Roger Alvarez, aka Rogelio Garduno Alvarez(Convicted for FRAUD in the United States District Court, Central District, California, and whose Real Estate Brokers License was REVOKED by the Commissioner of the California Department of Real Estate) to show that our Bishop Secretary has a pattern of behavior that is not commensurate with a man who is allegedly a Full Time Minister in our organization, let alone a man “elected” to lead our national organization.

In both the Car Scam and Real Estate Investment Project, Mr. Edward Pacheco has used his position as a Pastor and now National Board Member to gain an audience to promote his ventures with his associates, Bernice Molina Salcido and Rogelio Garduno Alvarez, both convicted felons. He uses his Influence for his own personal gain. Mind you, both were convicted of Fraud. He has teamed up with both of them to gain access to more Money.

Mr. Edward Pacheco, in my opinion, is a man of questionable character. Character is a highly determining factor when one is selected to a position of trust, such as a licensed minister of the church or to a governmental agency. Garduno Alvarez had that trust as granted by the Commissioner of the Department of Real Estate. He broke that trust and violated his FIDUCIARY Duty to his clients and to the general welfare of the public, by committing FRAUD.

Mr. Edward Pacheco, in my opinion, has a problem with Greed. He lusted for money in the Car Scam. By his action alone in the scam, he made presentations, which FACT has proven to be False Representations and Claims to Defraud Hermanos and Souls of Money as an ACCOMPLICE in the Crime of Larceny by Trick. Then there is his partnership in the Criminal Venture of the Car Scam. As the criminal law states, where two or more are gathered and act in agreement, we have CONSPIRACY.

Did Mr. Edward Pacheco terminate his involvement before people reported the matter to the authorities? No. He did not cease his involvement until AFTER they were found out.

What happened to the money? Where did it go?

Now here we are in 2007, and Mr Edward Pacheco is at it again. Teaming up with Convicted Felon, Roger Garduno Alvarez, in a Real Estate Investment Venture.

Mr. Roger Alvarez cannot act in any transaction that would involve a real estate license. No, his REVOKED Real Estate Broker License is not a Valid License. If Mr. Alvarez is acting in a capacity that would require a real estate license, then according to California Real Estate Law and the California Business and Professional Code of Law, then Mr. Alvarez is acting in Willful and Wanton Violation of the Law. If there is an Intent to permanently deprive any people of money by this venture, then he will again, if he hasn’t already been in another case of Fraud.

Pooling people together to invest in Fixer Uppers, in the current market, with the supposed goal to build a retirement fund, appears to be “fishy”. Additionally, conspiring with people to have homeowners take money out of their homes for the intent to invest in a speculative investment, could very well be a violation of Securities and Exchange Commission Code.

I stand by my comments. If you view them as divisive, then I recommend you advise your “Pastor” , Mr. Edward Pacheco to immediately RESIGN. His character is unbecoming a Licensed Minister of the Apostolic Assembly the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc.

When Mr. Edward Pacheco became an “Elected” Member of the National Board, he became a public figure whose character, decisions, and actions will and have come under greater public scrutiny.

Had Mr. Edward Pacheco acted with honesty, honor, and truth, then he would not be in the position he is and would definitely not be receiving the amount a of criticism he has.

Everyone,

I come to let you all know that I will not be as active as I had before on this blog. After much prayer and a dream, it is clear to me that there is a demon amongst the GB and those helping them. I fear for those that are innocent and pray for my family as well as others still remaining in the AA. I will not go into detail, nor will I answer to hateful comments. The God the people serve and the God the GB serve are not the same! I am not speaking out of emotion yet only out of prayer and a dream. May God have mercy on those that do not fear him as they once did before!

Perhaps you can share the dream with a reputable Man of God (in or out of the AA). The revelation of your dream may motivate many to pray more dilligently and help bring an end to this fiasco.

Yesterday, on the first day of the "Estrategia de Jesus", Bro. Daniel Sanchez was supposed to challenge all the pastors to join "La Estrategia", well he put everyone to sleep.

Next Valverde took the pulpit and challenge the pastors by opening his talk, "There is an elephant in the middle of the room and no one wants to talk about it" then he continue by saying, "Tonight I will talk about that elephant".

Then he started talking about how young people wear their hair over their eyes and that they no longer listen or obey.

Next he pointed out that the lawsuits are no major worries to them (GB) that at each meeting the most they spent on the subject is about an hour, YEAH RIGHT! I am sure he also says he does not care if protesters go to the Long Beach activity.

That is Sam for you always down playing the issues and acting very calm. He might act calm but his appearance sure shows he is worried to death. He is only 51 or 52 and looks like 60.

i must say again... interesting choice of name... :|

well for the sake of blogging, i will humor you.

If you don't go to our church, then how do you know that the people who stayed don't tithe? I mean didn't you confidently call that a statement a "lie from hell?"

Also, how do you know that those who stayed DIDN'T stay for monetary compensation etc.?

How did you know that Sis Diane was talking to a minister? That minister is relatively new and as far as i know hasn't been invited to lead many district services or camps. He isn't too well known to people outside of BR's church...

I'm just trying to understand where your conviction comes from. You sound so convinced and confident. Please explain.

Pacheco got on for the same reason companies hire only the best hackers. They need the skills they posess.

The GB needed the skills of two-vote. They're going after the $$ & Properties and Chuc has Roger in his back pocket.

In order to pull off a major scam, they needed a scam artist. If God could do it, why couldn't g.o.d. do it too?! (I Kings 22:20-22)

1Kings 22:20-22 The LORD asked, 'Who will deceive Ahab so that he will go and be killed at Ramoth?' Some of the angels said one thing, and others said something else, until a spirit stepped forward, approached the LORD, and said, 'I will deceive him.' 'How?' the LORD asked. The spirit replied, 'I will go and make all of Ahab's prophets tell lies.' The LORD said, 'Go and deceive him. You will succeed.' "

Are you in those meetings? My sources tell me that the meetings go on from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, and this is going to go on from the 8th to the llth.

The ministerial meetings are held at the Hyatt but ministers are staying at both the Westin and at the Hyatt.

Sanchez looks beaten, I don’t know how he is going to hold out for the November Convention in Texas.

Valverde should know what a division is because he has it in his DNA. His uncle Efrain Valverde made one of the biggest divisions in the Apostolic Assembly history. From then on the name Valverde was a stigma, a disgrace.

But believe it or not, the name of Valverde was restored when Contreras and BR conspired to put Sam Valverde on the Board without ever having been a Bishop.

Now, Sam Valverde is BR’s enemy, no loyalty to the one who made him.

The Pastors appear to be bored and intimidated. The elephant in the middle of the room is not an elephant at all; it is a combination of Sanchez, Valverde, Pacheco, Aguilar, Martin del Campo, Maffey, Espinoza and Prado.

Those are the elephants, and they will be removed in the Name of Jesus. Pastors, you have to be bold and join together in one accord.

Sanchez must be gloating that he no longer has the ominous dark cloud over his head called Baldemar and Salomon. He is now the sole head, not threatened anymore.

To those attending these meetings, give us some feedback. Are there any Pastors willing to stand up to the hangman’s noose? Henchmen be careful, your time is coming.

M.Gallegos said...

Ok, here we go!

This is what happened in the 2006 "elections" God elected, but the gb said to God, you were voted out of school! Your vote does not count! Besides this is our AA, they then appointed who they wanted...And thus kept it in the family...

They are planing on ex-communicating God too! Its just been so long since they've talked to him, or spent time with him that they dont know how to contact him!!!!

I seriously wonder what they were thinking when they rolled out the CID. It does not resemble the structure and cohesiveness that should be becoming of a legal document. (I have yet to see a legal document quote the Greek and give opinionated definitions of words such as "capacity") It is a merely a product of someone thinking they are educated because they went to bible college. Seriously.

And worse, the Pastors that allowed it. OUT OF IGNORANCE!!! Did they know the power they were putting in corrupt men's hands? NO. Did the GB know that Pastors would blindly follow it, impressed with the Greek and five dollar words, they sure hoped so. CHUECOS, CHUECOS, CHUECOS. Relying on the ignorance of these men... SHAME SHAME SHAME... it reminds me of "the time has come the walrus said."

I know some denominations that require at least a bachelors to become a pastor. Merely a suggestion.

Now, the CID is document that relies heavily on the "honor system." Besides votes, the qualifying commission must also take into mind capacity, suitability, and rights.

Oh, what a PARADOX! A blatant disregard to the constitution and most of all, to GOD'S WILL.

Now the CID can be useful if used by the hands of honest men. For example: Two candidates, one with 300 votes, one with 305. The first is more capable, equipped with an undergrad or two, has a congregation that experiences a 20% growth annually, and is a man of clean testimony. the 2nd is the total opposite. The CID is useful in this situation.

But, when you take margins like 400 to 2, we have an issue. That's 400 holy men of God, guided by fasting and prayer being ignored. When someone wins by that margin, one cannot question the will of God. WHO IS MAN TO DO THAT?!

WHO IS SANCHEZ? WHO IS VALVERDE? WHO ARE THEY TO DISREGARD 400 MEN OBVIOUSLY GUIDED BY THE HOLY GHOST? You know how i KNOW they were guided by God? Because they all voted the same.

I will end on this note. Historically at every election, there has been fasting. Since the 1930's to 2006 there has been fasting on the day of election. This 2006 election however, it was different. I'll be more specific... why don't you ask Sanchez what topping he had on his pizza? WHY DON'T YOU ALL ASK YOUR PASTORS THAT? WHY WAS THERE NO FASTING??!!

to quote M.Gallegos:

They did this!
They divided the church!
They hurt the people of God!
They did this wrong!
They lied to 400+ pastors!
They made fools of themselves!

You want healing, then you must step down! Otherwise we will not stop!

God did not give us a spirit of fear! But he gave us a spirit of power!

RELATIONS WITH OTHER ECCLESIASTIC ORGANIZATIONS
TENTH CHAPTER
ARTICLE 32
I. We believe in the universality of the Church and that it should be united by the bonds of love and faithfulness to the doctrinal principles set forth in the Word of God.
II. We also believe that the unity of faith is a goal which we can achieve solely through the conservation of the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace (Ephesians 4:3). Therefore, we respect and esteem all Christian organizations of similar belief within and without our country, with which we can associate in Christian fellowship working towards common ideals. However, we wish to keep our own independence and will not accept any pact or compromise that will deprive us of our right to preach the gospel to every creature

ALSO, take a look at this

TEMPLES AND PROPERTIES
EIGHTH CHAPTER
ARTICLE 30
I. The General Secretariat of the Apostolic Assembly shall keep records of all church buildings, properties and possessions throughout the United States of America, which have been consecrated for the service of the work of God.
II. The deed of trust of all properties purchased or donated for the service of the Apostolic Assembly must bear the title: “APOSTOLIC ASSEMBLY OF THE FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS.”

YIKES GB!!!!

So that means that any board member of another religious entity is INELLIGBLE to serve on the GENERAL BOARD. CID, indeed.

Also, not only are you not allowed to be the president of your own religious corp, but NEVER are you allowed to have the titles of your property read ANYTHING but AAFCJ...

And for those who did not understand my reference to "the time has come the walrus said"

take 6th grade English again. its a little harder than Bible college, i know, but you will need it one day.

THE WALRUS AND THE CARPENTER

The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.

The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"

The sea was wet as wet could be,
The sands were dry as dry.
You could not see a cloud, because
No cloud was in the sky:
No birds were flying overhead--
There were no birds to fly.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.

"O Oysters, come and walk with us!"
The Walrus did beseech.
"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Along the briny beach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To give a hand to each."

The eldest Oyster looked at him,
But never a word he said:
The eldest Oyster winked his eye,
And shook his heavy head--
Meaning to say he did not choose
To leave the oyster-bed.

But four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat--
And this was odd, because, you know,
They hadn't any feet.

Four other Oysters followed them,
And yet another four;
And thick and fast they came at last,
And more, and more, and more--
All hopping through the frothy waves,
And scrambling to the shore.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Walked on a mile or so,
And then they rested on a rock
Conveniently low:
And all the little Oysters stood
And waited in a row.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

"But wait a bit," the Oysters cried,
"Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!"
"No hurry!" said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

"A loaf of bread," the Walrus said,
"Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed--
Now if you're ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed."

"But not on us!" the Oysters cried,
Turning a little blue.
"After such kindness, that would be
A dismal thing to do!"
"The night is fine," the Walrus said.
"Do you admire the view?

"It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"Cut us another slice:
I wish you were not quite so deaf--
I've had to ask you twice!"

"It seems a shame," the Walrus said,
"To play them such a trick,
After we've brought them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!"
The Carpenter said nothing but
"The butter's spread too thick!"

"I weep for you," the Walrus said:
"I deeply sympathize."
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Those of the largest size,
Holding his pocket-handkerchief
Before his streaming eyes.

"O Oysters," said the Carpenter,
"You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none--
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one

From the AA.org website:
Words of Hope Daily Devotional
Wednesday - Jul 9, 2008
Read: Zechariah 7:11-14

Here We Go Again!
Mark Fackler
They made their hearts adamant. (v. 12)

Zechariah's prophecy began with God's anger. The people were lazy about building a temple. By now that temple is built and people have been worshiping for a generation. But God is angry again. Why? The inner temple of peoples' hearts is still a pile of busted bricks and broken sticks. Souls have shriveled. Hearts are stone-hard. There's no love.

Temple buildings are important to God. Temple hearts are God's real goal. Archways and woodwork may dazzle the eye. Love and justice make God's heart leap for joy. Here the prophet says, "You're still not getting it." God is disgusted to the point of turning away from his peoples' self-serving prayers.

What happens when God's people get hearts of stone? They stop listening to him, so he stops listening to them (v. 13). [They become General Board Members] And then comes judgment (v. 14). Zechariah describes it as a "pleasant land" made "desolate." You don't want to live there.

Zechariah 7 is a road map to avoid desolation. Keep God at the center, worship with grateful hearts, treat people fairly, especially widows and orphans—people without a secure future. Work at this, the prophet urges. God's Spirit is your helper. Trust, pray, and love.

Desolation—don't go there. Isolation—avoid that place too. The cure to a hard heart is to listen.

Prayer: Lord, I'll follow your road map today. I'll grow a God-ward heart.

WHAT IS THE A. C. NAVA CHARITABLE FOUNDATION?

. . . Upon availability, members of the Apostolic Assembly church will be eligible to petition the Antonio Castaneda Nava charitable foundation for the following assistance:
. . .
Assistance for counseling services for members experiencing trauma of any kind

??? Does this include the trauma of watching the XMEN (ex-men of God now serving on the GB) remove men of God from their positions as Pastor?

No, No, No... Please don't bring your silly antics (cameras, picket signs) up here to NorCal. Keep them all down in SoCal where they belong.

Esp to UC.
Besides you have to pay to get in. So what are you going to contribute to his Love Offering and then walk out on his preaching?? Now that's what I call smart.

in case anyone cares, up here in Nor Cal, this whole thing hasn't affected us. We are just as focused on our churches as ever.

also in case if any "first time" bloogers care the majority of all the name calling and people with obvious hate issues are all from Southern California.

This organization amazes me. They claim to have the truth so they won’t fellowship with anyone outside of their beliefs. Yet, most (if not all) of their material comes from outside sources. They even endorse Fuller Seminary, which in my opinion does not hold to biblical inerrancy. Getting back to the CID. Someone commented about the use of Greek in the CID. Biblical Greek seems to be the in thing right now. If your books, articles or documents can cite Greek, they seem to carry more authority. I asked one of my professors in seminary. “Is the Holy Spirit limited in English?”. He did not have much of a response. The first thing the Spirit of God did on the day of Pentecost was to remove the barrier of language. Acts Chapter 2.
The AA wants to stand out from everyone else, yet they emulate everyone else. I’m to the belief that the AA has lost their focus (if they even had it ay all) and is spiritual decline.

"...it hasn't affected us..."

Heaven forbid something happen to your church. You know, like your church was snatched away from you. Wouldn't you want anyone's support? So you don't care what the GB is guilty of as long as they don't bother you. I'd hate to have you as a friend, I'm sure you wouldn't stand up for me or anyone in our hour of need.

And we too "are focused on our churches as ever". We are focused on trying to keep them from the CLUTCHES OF THE GB!!!! They don't even care if the members leave, they just want the properties to sell. As in our case our members built our buildings from the ground up. The GB never lifted a finger to help!!!

You said, “You haven't said anything concrete for me to cede the point.”

Response: The point you fail to recognize is that the city of Laodicea was not named for its government, it was named for the wife of the governer of that city. AND THAT IS A HISTORICAL FACT. Another FACT: the church was not called Laodicea; God said to write to the angel of the “Church in Laodicea.”
FACT: The seven churches were in seven real cities. FACT: the churches were not named at all, much less for any of their characteristics, they were simply called “the church in… (whatever city it was in).”

You said: “… because they ruled and not God, was one of the reasons that lead them to go astray.”

Response: I’ll cede you half a point on that one, and that is that they obviously did not allow God to rule, but it wasn’t the only reason. Your choice of words implies that the only reason God judged them was because man ruled. Man rules all over the earth. Sometimes he rules justly and fairly, and other times he’s just downright evil.

You said: “Governing the church is not just administrating money. A local treasurer can do that.”
Response: Have you ever sat through a church meeting? That’s all they talk about. How much money are we gonna raise? How are we going to spend it? How much will it cost to fix this problem? How much money will this activity yield?

You said: “The job of the Apostles was to pray, preach the word, disciple, lead the church, resolve the problems that arose in the church, send out missionaries, supervise the church....”

Response: FACT: According to Jesus, the job of the apostles was to go and preach the gospel to every creature. FACT: According to Peter, the job of the apostle was to pray and preach. FACT: it is the job of the local pastor to resolve problems that arise in the church, send out missionaries, and supervise the church. FACT: Governing is the job of a MAN (or WOMAN).

You asked: “Is that all government does? decide how to spend money? I don't think so. They are supposed to make laws, execute laws, interpret laws, protect our country...”

Response: FACT: Virtually Every law that is made and executed either costs money or yields money. Try reading a ballot one of these days. FACT: Protecting a country costs a fortune. FACT: the church is not a country; It is the body of Christ. FACT: Jesus did not organize. He preached, healed, etc. FACT: Nowhere in the book of Acts do you read about sectors, districts, and federations; any mention of interaction between churches has to do with one local church helping another.

You said: “On one point I agree with you that if Paul was here he would have spoken out against the indescretions of our leaders, but one thing for sure he would have NEVER sued the church leaders in a worldly court. As a matter of fact he taught againsts that.”

Response: It’s nice to see we agree on something. How do you think our present leaders would have responded to Paul, not knowing that he would go down in the history books as one of the most instrumental ministers in the dissemination of the Gospel?

God Bless you.

Some of you have been wondering just what is going to happen to some of these leaders that stood up against the assembly GB. Well, I have some news for you:

1. Daniel Solomon - will be recieving a 3 month suspension then it will be business as usual.

2. Art Tafoya - samd as the above mentioned, plead for forgiveness and will recieve a full pardon provided he make a public apology for all he has said and done.

There will be more doing the same... pleading for forgiveness and we will just continue to see that those who at once stood against the GB will again submit.

Art seemed to have some fight in him back then. I wish I would have saved the letters from aa.info. I never thought anyone would remove them.

As I recall, Art wanted a 'committee of honor and justice' to review the elections. This would be the only official way of conducting an investigation. The GB responded by saying they already completed an 'extensive investigation'. Art asked for a copy of the results and never received them.

There was more to the story.

SHAME SHAME SHAME... it reminds me of "the Walrus and the Carpenter" (google it, its a poem you should have read in 6th grade :))

Moses should have been more "civilized" when dealing with that Egyptian Soldier.

Perhaps, when Jesus entered the Temple to deal with the money changers, he should have acted more
"Civilized".

When God condemns Satan/Lucifer/Anti-Christ to Hell for eternity, will that be interpreted at being "civilized"?

Israel should have never went to war with anyone, they should have been more "civilized".

1) When Eddie Pacheco committed his so called car scams, like APWC has posted in the past, did you send him to the mission field at the height of the pressure surrounding his actions?

2) If everything is true about Eddie Pacheco, Why did you allow Pacheco to continue to be an AA minister? Did you ever appoint him to any positions?

3) Have you ever removed any pastors in the same manner that the GB removed you? Did you enter the local church and tell the members that their pastor has been removed?

4) If you did, were the people hurt and not wanting their pastor to be removed? If the answer is yes, how did you respond or feel about it? Did you have the attitude that you were the supreme authority of the AA? or did you retract your removal and allow the local church to make the decision?

It would be nice if Baldemar would be a guest on this blog so people of the other side could ask him some questions.

Might as well go back and ask Roosevelt why he didn't launch a prevemptive attack against the Japanese on Dec. 5, 1941

ongaurd

side note: ongaurd = someone that is defensive, which relays in your post.

You have the right to your questions, as does anyone else on this blog.

Being apart of the AA still, I can not say I am against you, however nor will I say I am with.

The thoughts that come to my mind is if Dr. Baldemar did do these things, maybe he was giving Eddie Pacheco a second chance and was showing the love of God while in his ministry. Think about it, Eddie and Sam, Dr. Baldemar gave a chance, and they turned around and bit the hands that fed them.

Hmm, this reminds me of the story of Jesus and Judas.

I believe Dr. Baldemar should have put his foot down on them back then. However, that is letting my flesh take over isn't it?

I would really like to hear from the people that Dr. Baldemar supposedly ousted. Why aren't they speaking up if it really affected them that much and was done in the manner people like you say it was? And where is the evidence of all this? Did he oust pastors that were speaking up for what they thought was morally right?

To Apostolicanalyst / July 8 11:34 p.m.

Excuse my late response. No, I am not inside the meetings;however, the informatioin is true.

As for Sanchez will hold to the November convention, because in 2009 there will be no convention and he can rest.

I think their plan is that this coming convention not many will attend, since the program starts on Friday (day after thanksgiving) and ends on Wednesday. Many pastors will not attend and that would be a good reason not to make a convention on 2009. This action helps Valverde for any ponencias or propuestas to be limited to the convention in 2010.

On the convention of 2010 all he has to do is make the election day early on the week and have any business done after the election. All he needs then is for him and his primo to vote for him for president and his in.

He can do this because he and whoever he chooses for the calificadora will be on his side.

Another area he has covered in preparing for the future. He has sent quite a few of his ministers to the East coast to take over churches. All these pastors are for him and have been disciple by him.

Well, many things to point out on the Estrategia de Valverde.

Atentamente,

Doroteo Arango

Henry...
there is a common link between all those "examples" that you post.

They are all in the Old Testament.

Paul said that our warfare is no longer carnal, but now spiritual.

That means instead of calling pastors devils, pray for them. Besides, I really don't think that all those nonsense is going to equate to much.

I think that only real change that will happen is at the next elections; until then, just useless threats and frustrations.

If my memory serves me correctly (and I know that someone will correct me) but I think that first couple of positions are majority. Right? So if the pastor truely believe that they were not considered, then its pretty hard to win anything with 0 votes.

Carlos - it appears that you have left with your pastor Baldemar, may I suggest just leaving.
We'll pray for you and you are welcome to any of our services (assuming that your objective of your attendance is to worship and not picket).

excuse my naiveness, but again, up here this doesn't effect us much; as we don't have any GB members pastoring up here.
