«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 1271 Newer› Newest»Concerning The General Board that we have.
Some members on The Board are okay in my book.
Others are arrogant and incompetent.
But Eddie Pacheco ?????????
Mr Sanchez that is a reflection on your poor judgement, lack of leadership and discernment to have him as part of your board.
Anyone who can appoint a man like that to any position of leadership is so unwise and apparently lacks any spiritual discernement.
Eddie Pacheco not only should NOT have ever been allowed to be on The GB but he should have never been appointed a pastor let alone a minister.
The bible clearly states the requirements that a deacon and pastor must fulfill.
I dont recall ever reading that they should be.
Arrogant
Prideful
Crooked
Conniving
Greedy
Dishonorable
Cold Hearted
Sneaky
And lacking character
If these were the requirements he would fulfill every last one.
And while im on that topic.
Abel Aguilar ( Mr I cant preach but I will scream till im red in the face )
You my friend also lack discernement if you can appoint a selfish uncaring arrogant jerk onto The Missions committee like Marc Payan ( Payaso )
What a joke this clown is moving to CT to kiss up to Aguilar so that he can move up the ranks.
What there were no souls to win near Arlington ?
The work of The Lord is only in Santa Ana ?
And you think you can counsel people on marriage ? Shouldnt you be married a little longer and have lived a little more before you go around trying to school people about the married life ?
What a payaso.
Sam you sound stupid and retarded by the way you write, "You hate all this is apostolic assembly. You no not try that with the churches in the bible. You make seem like church is supposed to be perfect and the bible say we no not perfect." Oh wait! You look retarded too, because I've seen you in church. LOL LOL LOL LOL. What a dumb ..ss!
Also please show me where in the Bible it says, (your quote) "the bible say we no not perfect." And what in the world is "a amagado." Dumb ..ss!!!
Inquiring from California to Texas...
What is up with Willie Mendoza? Are they going to give his church to B. Quiroz?
He also married a woman who had been married three times. Is he going to get the church as a reward?
And are they going to go to Houston to live near his son in law, Joel Montes? That will even out what they are doing to Willie Mendoza.
As of April 4th, Rev. Willie Mendoza is no longer pastoring ABC. I know this because he is my pastor.
During last night's service, Sam Valverde informed the congregation that our current bishop, Juan Moreno, would be the temp. pastor.
Over the past two years, the national board has requested that our pastor retire. (for those of you who don't know - my pastor is in his mid 80's) Rev. Mendoza is in good health. He does not have diabetis, hight blood pressure, etc...
We obviously disgree with the board.
I would like to say that the manner in which the national board removed our pastor was wrong. They did not want to answer questions from the congregation. He has been the pastor of ABC over 26 years; they did not or could not explain their reasons.
Make no mistake, we were not surprised by their action. They did not let us down. They did and said exactly what we expected. We expected them to force our pastor into retirement. We also expected them not to answer any questions. We have known this since Aug. 2007.
The explanation they tried to give had to do with the law suits our church has had over the past 26 years. It is sad that things like this happen, but they do. One can only do so much. So many factors are involved in these kinds of situations.
For those of you who don't know - Rev. Mendoza was one of the pastors whose signature was on the lawsuit against the national board.
This is one of the reasons why they removed him as pastor. Plain and simple it is retaliation.
Another reason that they removed Bro. Mendoza has to do with the church property. The church is on ten acres. The sanctuary is very nice. As I hear it, it is the largest Apostolic church property in the assembly. As you are aware the national office will be moving to Dallas very soon. Houston is four hours away from Dallas. I believe that what the board wants is to install one of their own on this property.
I honestly believe that this was orginally their first reason. We have a congregation of 400-500 faithful members.
A year before the lawsuit issue they were already wanting this church. The lawsuit just aggravated the issue.
This past Thursday night, we had a meeting of sorts at our church. Bro. Mendoza let us know that he had no intentions to retire. As he said, "Why would I want to leave. Things are good here".
According to Bro. Valverde they offered our pastor a retirement package. He would receive the sum of $2,000.00 a month for the rest of his life and $100,000.00 in two payments. Our pastor turned it down. According to Bro. Valverde, our pastor accepted their agreement, but somewhere between the meeting and church he changed his mind. Personally, I am glad he did.
I would like for you to know that the board installed Bishop Moreno as temporary pastor. He is a nice man. He had been put in a tough situation. We do not dislike Bro. Moreno. What we dislike is the way in which this situation was handled.
We will congregate elsewhere with Bro. Mendoza as our pastor. It makes me happy to know that 80-90% of the members will go with him. I do not know if we will remain in the assembly or go independent, but I do know that as long as the assembly has corrupt national leaders, I would prefer to go independent.
I am not writing this with the intent of arguing; rather I wrote this because I thought you all should know what happened. Who better to tell you than someone who was there. God bless.
That is some cleansing! Cholo president strikes again! This time backed by his bald headed VP. What a crew we have here. Sanchez you have no heart. I pray that Mendoza files a lawsuit! The EEOC would eat this one up alive. People it is time to stand up for something! This is not going to stop here. It is a well known fact amongst the GBers that B. Rodriguez is going to be their next target. They definitely have vengeance in their blood!
RE: I have RESIGNED
The Assembly has been hijacked by two stubborn men who remind me of Saddam Insane. Men whom I am afraid to follow or trust with helping me preach the message of salvation to the world.
These two men are now functioning in a way that is completely counter productive to the Gospel and the great commission.
I cannot partner with men whose ideas and personal ambitions are more important than Christ's commandments.
I have officially resigned from the Assembly because ALL of our leaders, past and present are no longer aligned with the great commission established by Christ.
I pray that those who read this realize that the great commission is by far more important than figuring out whose right and whose wrong. We're all WRONG because our focus has no longer been on spreading the good news. I pray you all make the appropriate choices so that you can personally get back on track and begin doing what you were truly called to do - spread the Gospel.
A Todos Los Miembros De La AA:
WOW!!!
Sounds like the AA is self-destructing. What a shame! Can someone enlighten me as to why they offered Rev. Mendoza this type of severance package? Is this typical in the AA this days?
Someone will benefit out of all this injustice. It certainly won't be the AA but quess who? Yes,the church of Mexico. I am still trying to understand how a leader could have made a comment of the Church Christ died for as if it was a as they say "no sweat" when he said "If the church divides let it divide those that want to follow us will follow us those that want to leave can leave." Where has the love of Christ gone?? I was raised in the AA and I am still in it because my roots are here. It seems the church of Mexico has been criticized by our leaders all these years but at the same time our leaders are literally dropping us off at their front door. Who know what the outcome of this corruption will be. God help us all!!
It is a sad day when a band of insensitive and uncaring leaders can remove an icon like paster Willie Mendoza.
Pastor Mendoza has served as a preacher to preachers for many brothers in the ministry. I am reminded of Zechariah's pophecy
Zechariah 13:6
And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
In the very house in which he gave his life to the ministry, and the building of many preachers by his teaching and example did he shamefully receive wounds to his hands.
Instead of lifting his hands, like Moses' hands were lifted in time of battle, his hands were wounded instead by his comrads and so called friends.
How many more will have to endure such wounded hands.
Pastor Mendoza, If you happen to read or hear of this blog, just want you to know that there are many men who esteem you, and are praying for you. I will contact you soon to offer any help that I can.
A Pastor from CA
To all pastors,
Effective this week, myself and the church I humbly pastor will be leaving the AA and joining the UPC. God bless you, and may the Lord have mercy on this dishonorable General Board!
To Ex Pastor:
As an old timer Apostolic with deep history and knowledge of the UPC since Bro. Chambers, General Superintendent, in the 1950's and now Kenneth Haney, I can tell you that you will be making a mistake in going with the UPC.
Brother I beseech you in the Name of Jesus--do not get into DEEPER BONDAGE.
Since the 1930's, when a Mexican would try to join them, they would send the Mexican to a little Spanish church around the corner.
When a Mexican Pastor would ask to borrow the baptistry, the white Pastor would not allow it for fear of it getting dirty and soiled by the Mexican.
It wasn't until the Mexicans started getting a college education and earning the big bucks, that the UPC allowed them to start a separate Hispanic minstry.
But they are still under the control and supremacy of the white 'Massa' from St. Louis, MO.
The UPC is racism at its highest.
Please contact the web page for Iglesia Apostolica de Mexico en los Estados Unidos.org
This church is growing tremendously. Please come and join us!
God Bless you in this very serious decision.
My family and I also officially will be leaving The Assembly and joining an Independant Apostolic Church that recently began working in the area in which I live.
As many of you I also grew up in The Assembly all of my life and it saddens me to leave.
However I can not and will not be a member of an Organization that operates in the manner that The Assembly does.
Enough of the politics, power struggles and nepotism.
I want to focus on the work of The Lord and work to win souls for God's Kingdom.
I encourage every one of you to focus on this and if The Lord should lead any of you to leave The Assembly dont worry about being labeled or blackballed.
That is a tired and old tactic that doesnt and shouldnt work on anyone anymore.
We are a new and young generation that desires a true move of God.
Let these old timer ex cholos pachucos and cowboys run their mafia style regime any way they want.
There is so much more out there than The Assembly.
So lets put our hands to the plow and go get them souls for God.
How terribly sad for all of us whose heart is in our Assembly. How sad that our leaders who should humble themselves and who really, I believe, still do have the power to lead us out of this sad situation JUST PLAIN REFUSE TO.
That is all it would take, in my humble opinion, for them to humble themselves before their God, our God, and the Assembly would come together once more and our beloved Assembly would be saved from this path of destruction.
CHURCH LEADERS - DON'T YOU HEAR THE CRY OF THE PEOPLE? WE, THE PEOPLE ARE CRYING FOR OUR CHURCHES AND OUR BELOVED PASTORS, WE ARE CRYING FOR THE SOULS LOST, WE ARE CRYING FOR THE ASSEMBLY. WE ARE CRYING OUT TO YOU TO SAVE US!
WHY DON'T YOU HEAR US?
They dont hear because sadly they have too much pride and arrogance to admit any fault.
We who dont agree with them are just rebels and carnal christians who dare speak against " God's annointed "
As long as their greed for money and desire for power and positions continues nothing will change.
And as all this goes on and their pockets are lined with the hermanos tithes and their accounts fatten and their portfolios are growing.
There is a world of lost souls out there and a multitude of brothers and sisters sitting idle not using their talents for ministry.
Why ? Because they may not have been fortunate enough to be born an Aguilar,Valverde,Sanchez,Montes,Lopez etc....
There is so much more than this church ! Lets get out of the group mentality and wanting to be part of an Assembly.
Each local church can have an awesome impact in their own community.
Stop sending your tithes to the GB and put it to work locally.
A while back someone suggested a picket/protest of the HQ.
From my understanding, many of the 'local' members don't have any idea of what their pastor's are involved in.
It would be interesting if someone from Southern California would pass out informational flyers at the HGB member's churches.
While leaving the AA is a way out, I believe it's better to stay. Remember what Gandhi did in India. A peaceful Non-Violent protest. This would work especially well with congregations in rented facilities. Withhold your Tithe of Tithes (T-o-T) - don't spend it, but keep it in an escrow type account. If the average church receives $6000.00 per month, the T-o-T would be $600.00. If 100 churches were to participate, the DGB would lose $60,000.00 each month (Salary of 3 General Board Members)
Don't do this in secret! Inform your congregation. DO NOT spend the $$. Remember don't use the AA ID at the bank or they can come in and take the $$ without your approval. Inform HQ that your congregation is gravely concerned with the situation and you will be storing the T-o-T until it is completely resolved. Remember YOUR VOTE DID NOT COUNT in November 2006. When they told you that the Pastors count for something, they've proven it's all about the $$. Show them that you count! (even if your vote doesn't)
ALSO, if you are thinking of buying a property, put together a group/non-profit organization. Buy it in the group’s name and LEASE it to the church. Then the DGB can never come in and take it away.
If you already have a building in the name of the AA and don’t have too much equity, consider saving the money that would be used for the payment for a few months then putting it as a down payment on another building as mentioned above. The AA wants to hold your building over your head – ask Willie Mendoza. By doing this, you can turn the table on them. They will be responsible to make the payments – since the building is in their name! Just be ready to walk away from the building.
Always remember we serve Jesus, not the DGB.
RE: I have RESIGNED
I posted a few days ago about my resignation. Today it has been confirmed that I made the right decision.
My Xapostolic pastor called me to follow up on my decision to leave the Assembly. He has informed me that by leaving to another fold, I will be jeopardizing my salvation, my marriage and success of my children. Since I am making the decision to leave, he said there was no point in him praying for me and my family because foolishness can only be cured by oneself.
He said that he has no choice than to restrict the church from speaking to us, socializing with us or even reaching out to us. His reasons are, because we are no longer of the same faith.
I am very very sad at this point because of the many relationships that I will no longer have. But at the same time look forward to being free to minister as God has called me to minister. I no longer feel compelled to please the pastor, but I am now free to please God and him only. It's a wonderful feeling!
Although I am sad and hurt, I am at peace that now I know I have left something that was more harmful than uplifting. Glory be to God.
Since all they understand and it appears that what motivates them is $$$$$$$$$$ CASH MONEY !!!!!!!
You have to hit them where it hurts.
For those of you leaving the AA, I can see why you would.
But in doing so, you are giving the likes of Pachuco and Malverde the victory.
Good luck in your future work. For those going UPC, good luck living as Second Class Citizens. Racism is rampant in the UPC.
You will be treated as "minorities" and inferior. You would be better to start your own independent church. But by joining the UPC, you are showing how weak you are organizationally and administratively to have to go under someone else's corporation.
Basically, you are demonstrating first hand that you are a second class citizen who still needs mama's help.
To the pastor who resigned, WHO ARE YOU?
If you resigned, you have nothing to lose.....
XAPOSTOLIC,
I commend you on doing the right thing.
Your ex pastor's reaction and lack of respect and Godly love shows you that you were under a man that had no calling from God.
The Apostolic Doctrine is truth and is pure and this is the reason why the enemy attacks so venomously.
It is sad that the GB and many Apostolic Pastors do not see that they are being used as vessels of destruction and discouragement.
I ask you brother XAPOSTOLIC go to what ever church you must but dont ever make the mistake that many have in shunning The Oneness Pentecostal Doctrine for what some of it's unwise members have done or are doing to hurt the flock.
That is what the enemy wants. I will pray for you that you find the right church or start your own independant Apostolic Chucrh.
God Bless
xapostolic
Restrict that his other members don't speak to you?
What have we turned to the JW's ways of shunning people that leave even if its our own family members?
If the pastor told me not to speak to someone because they left the AA. I would tell him very respectfully to stick it where the sun don't shine.
I tell you what all time low the AA and the board of dictators have become.
Pastors that have that way of thinking should be removed and sent back into the job market.
Geez what a mess
I don't blame you for leaving. thinking about it myself. Have a real dead beat pastor, who is only here for the paycheck.
To: XApostolic
What area are you from? Lets get you connected with someone who really understand and cares.
xapostolic, good for you!
My friend got treated the same way. His ex pastor told him that his wife couldn't have a baby because he had left the assembly.
The assembly is very very sick.
My dear Van,
At first when I read your quote, "Basically, you are demonstrating first hand that you are a second class citizen who still needs mama's help." I wasn't going to respond to such an immature and really stupid comment. Mainly because it shows your ignorance first hand! But after thinking it over I think you need to consider something for that minute mind of yours.
Poeple like you are ALL TALK! You are not the one in the trenches trying to minister to the flock, while at the same time trying to protect them from the ravening wolves. You are not the one that gets the ultimatums from the GB when you don't give then the tithe of thithes. You are not the one that gets your ministerial liscence revoked when you don't comply.
While there are SOME UPC church who have pastor who are prejudice and racists, there are other who are NOT! My friend I'm not ignorant nor as you put it, "a second class citizen who still needs mama's help." I carefully prayed and thought this decision over for months, and now feel I have the leading of the Lord to move ahead.
I have been invited to preach in UPC churches on a regular basis and now have a core of friends, Hispanic and anglo alike, that have come to our aid and regularly fellowship with. So before you make any more stupid comments like your blog of (April 7, 10:17) consider the following Scripture and amke an honest attempt to live it, "Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding." Proverbs 17:28.
To Bro. Willie, his family and congregation.
The sickening actions of the GB are repulsive. Sick, sick, sick.
We are praying for all of you. Know that the Lord is with you and He will guide and prosper you to an even greater level. Be proud in the decision you have made to stand by God's servant.
Bro Willie has ministered to many of us and his ministry will continue on in our lives and hearts, in or out of the AA.
Margie, be strong and of good courage. We love you and pray over you and your family. The Lord will prevail in this nightmare. Stand tall and be proud of what your father stood for in the presence of those that set out to destroy him. Remember, the Lord always has the last Word, because He IS the Word.
A longtime friend who holds you and your family in prayers.
God is Good.
eX-Pastor:
What example are you giving by running away? There is no valor in turning tail. Where in the bible does it say to run away from injustice? The UPC is is a good organizations for Uncle Toms.
To all who are leaving:
"GOOD RIDANCE!!"
Yes easy for you to say.
You didn't shed your blood for any of them.
It didn't cause you any pain at calvery.
so yeah "GOOD RIDANCE!!"
To Bro. Willie Mendoza and family, and to his loyal congregation:
Please be assured that many are praying for you for this travesty that has been committed against you. It is shameful that not only we in the Assembly, but so many “outsiders” are witnessing these horrendous injustices such as in your case. To arrive at church on Sunday and find that the locks have been changed to your place of worship! The place of worship where all of you I am sure have toiled over and have given tirelessly of yourselves, your place where you gathered to praise God, the temple that you cared for with love for so many years. How devastating and traumatic. We cry for you and beseech the Lord to comfort you. I understand that graduations of your school were also coming up and now you are left without your church. We pray for the children, the students who may not understand. Our hearts go out to all of you.
To what lengths will these men go? These men, our leaders who are supposed to be our spiritual counselors, our guidance, our mentors, an example to us and to whom we would have liked to look up to. Instead they seem to be systematically destroying our Assembly and shattering our hopes for a solution that could save our beloved church. One would think that at least one of them would stand up and be humble yet heroic to say “enough” and at the least redeem himself before God. Don’t they realize we desperately need something to hang on to. Oh Lord, why don’t they listen?
Bro. Mendoza, be strong for we know that you have served and worked for the Lord in the Assembly for many years and in the end He will reward you and yours. In the absence of our late beloved father and your friend please receive our prayers, love and support. God is with you and we admire you. God bless you.
I can't believe the national board!! WOW!!!!!!!! I grew up in a apostolic church and when I got married, I started going to a independent church where my husband was going. I was sad to leave the apostoilc assembly church. I still have friends and family in the assembly,so I hear and see what is going on, I am so sadden by all this. Pastor Willie Mendoza is such a GREAT man of God. I was a member at his church and I saw it for myself. He's so faithful, dedicated and a awesome preacher! You can see that he loves what he does and it's not about making money for him, that's one thing I can say, so many others will tell you the same thing. He's never spoke about retiring. He's a very strong and healthy man. My mother tells me that Bro.Sam Valverde is just like his grandfather, very cold hearted and now I see she's right. Today is the day that I am proud to be out of the assembly, I never thought the day would come, when I would be saying that! Pastor Mendoza, I love you and I'm praying for you, your family and the congregation who followed you. I hear that 80% of the congregation followed you, that's awesome!!!! If I lived in Houston, I would in that 80%.
Thank you, to everyone who is supporting Pastor Mendoza!
DEUTERONOMY 31:6
Be strong and courageous; don't be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or foesake you."
For those of you who are confused about all these events, let me give you something that will confuse you even more.
When Bro. Willie Mendoza purchased the church property where he was removed as Pastor last Friday, he purchased it from the United Pentecostal Church.
He borrowed $100,000.00 from the Apostolic Assembly to buy it for the Apostolic Assembly.
I guess Willie had second thoughts about paying a loan on property that belongs to the AA already, so he decided not to make payments to the AA on that 100K; as the loan was to the Assembly who in reality, owned the property.
The Board got very angry and this was one of the reasons that they used to removed him as Pastor.
Does this make sense to you? Where have you heard that the person you are buying the property for, lends you the money and then you have to pay it back with interest AND then give them the property that YOU bought and paid for?
Why didn’t the Assembly just write out the check to the UPC? Why would they let Willie be the middle man? Because they wanted to hold Willie and the Church accountable for the 100K and still the Assembly own the property.
HELLO??? Does this not smack of loan-sharking? The Board lends money at exorbitant interest, and sits back and waits for the church to be unable to pay, then comes in and takes the property away. Even if you are able to pay off the loan to the Assembly, the Board can take it away anyway.
Now, are they going to hold Artie accountable to pay off that 100K?
There are many other Pastors and Churches in this same boat. They have gotten into loans with the Assembly that has them teetering on the edge of financial ruin.
So for those of you who know the AA Constitution and By Laws, please let us know if this is within the legal and moral boundary of our governing documents.
The Judge was right! This Constitution had more holes than Swiss Cheese.
Van I attend FTC. What church do you attend?
This time the GB has gone too far, in removing Bro. Willie from his church. It is callous and cowardly to remove such a great man who has done so much to inspire so many preachers.
Bro. Willie, keep on going, don't give up. I pray that your church support you 100%. We will cover in our prayers.
to: concerned in souhern california;

you questioned rather or not these are apostolic pastors, clearly they are... and pastors of growing churches; the AA is mind boggling as to what is priority and held at high standard, last time i checked, got mandates for each man to love his wife as Christ has loved the church, a token of that love is a ring that a woman can show as a symbol of that love from her husband, seems to me that if this simple token of love can be expressed between the union of a marriage, what is wrong with that?
maybe it could also be used to remind that pastor or bishop that is thinking of slamming some "joven" to look at his hand (w/a ring on it) and be reminded of the promise he made to God to love and honor his wife !
CBG:
Congrats for you. Pastor Isaac is a good man. Life Line has been a blessing to many men and has been the catalyst for bringing many families to Christ.
LOL, does this mean you don't go to Fountain of Truth? Poor Sam, you've been torturing that poor guy. lol You silly jovenes, what will you think of next.
Fight the Valverde/Pacheco Machine!
Van, you didn't answer my question! What church do you go to?
I go to the Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc. Headquartered in Rancho Cucmonga, CA.
Thats all you will get out of me Mr Ms or Mrs CBG.
You are on a need to know basis. And you don't need to know.
Well we hear alot about all this brothers from churches all over the united states, if we are going to make some negative remarks or positive ones well say who you are and from where. I am from Midland Texas.
Can someone post the address where Bro. Willie is now ministering? There are several families here in Houston from Montes church that would like to join his congregation! Thanks in advance!
BRO.MENDOZA IS MINISTERING AT.

THURSDAY AT 7:30 P.M.
GOD BLESS!
to van...
"I go to the Apostolic Assembly in the Faith of Jesus Christ, Inc." I thought it was: Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus?
to all...
Let's pray for Pastor Mendoza, family and the following of faithful members who are trail blazing a new church work out in Houston. No doubt about it, they will soon have a building to call it home until they BUILD a new church building.
God Bless Brave Men like Brother Mendoza.
Why continue to put up with The GB's tactics of retaliation, strong arming and intimidation.
Just start your own work or go to an Independant Apostolic work.
Who needs a Bishop or Anciano breathing down your neck and telling you what you can and cannot do ?
Half the time they dont care about their churches or members anyway. They just are after positions, power and money.
When is the last time your Bishop or even your Elder visited your church ?
What exactly do they do ? What are they good for ?
Cause they sure dont come around until they have to remove a pastor.
Is that the extent of their job description ? Draw a nice salary and remove pastors ?
Hit them where it hurts $$$$$$$$$$
Imagine if just a few churches in each District went independant.
That would be alot of tithes that the GB's would be losing.
Why keep feeding the greedy leaders bank accounts ?
Put your hard earned tithes and offerings to work at your local independant church that is reaching out to your local community.
Dont send it to Rancho Cucamonga where it goes and you never see it used for ministry or missions etc....
Breaking news!!!
Bishop Joe Mendoza from Stockton is going independent, the majority of his congregation agree to do this last Sunday ,he will resign his position as a bishop sometime this week.
Wow! Good for Joe Mendoza! Start his own church.
In my opinion, stay and fight or leave and start your own church. But don't leave to go under someone else. You either have the Full Calling or you don't.
Did Moses take the people of God to leave Egypt to go under Syria? To go under Rome?
Nope. Yes, I may be wrong as to Rome and Syria, but Moses did lead the people to go on their own, not to be place under another government.
LOL The General Board are our Modern Phaeroes.
That new promotion for Family Groups on the AA website looks more like a Sofa/Couch Commercial.
Sofas and Love Seats 50% Off!
THAT'S AWESOME!! NOW BRO.JOE AND BRO. WILLIE CAN FOCUS ON WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO, PREACH THE WORD AND WINNING SOULS AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ALL THIS DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS!
GOD BLESS!
With these pastors leaving, I wonder how the GB is feeling about this? I heard that they are lacking pastors to take over existing churches and this probably the reason they are lacking Pastors that are versatile in a variety of areas.
This is the second time that Pastor Mendoza has been hammered by the GB. It is a good thing that this time around though, he said: "Enough is enough!"
To Pastor Mendoza, family and faithful members that are backing this godly and "elder stateman", we are with you. This will no doubt cause a lot of AA pastors to revisit their respective stand with the GB.
The question now is, who's got next?
There are way too many Pastors who keep their peace for fear of reprisals.
I commend and respect anyone who can be confident enough and strong minded enough to take a stand and not cower to the tactics of these GB bullies.
I tell you that cholo, pachuco mentality does not die easily.
Now that there is a generation of educated and informed church members the old way of running the regime will not cut it.
This young generation knows too much and has a wealth of resources and knowledge at their fingertips.
So now it makes sense why the old timers were so against us going to college.
Anyone remember that ?
BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

ATENCION PASTORES-"DECLARACION DE MARTIN DEL CAMPO" EN APOSTOLIC LETTERS!!!!!(OTHER LETTERS...)
ATENCION!!!ATENCION!!!ATENCION!!!
Citando, Jut.4all 4/9/2008 ultimo parafo, ultima linea:
No creo.
i am not an apostolic i am a christian folower of jesus not some general board.............
if those guys would actualy read the bible tey would know that in the new testament there is no higher place than of a pastor.......... nowhere in the bible it mentions any general board.... i attend the congregation where my pastor Guillermo Mendoza has taken care of us for as long as i ca remember and he carries such a good tetimony... i was there that friday when that so called "brother" balverde went to OUR church and took what God had give bro. willie.
they said that he had signed a contract and bro medoza agreed with that but then in fornt of all the congregation he stated that he had no intentions on giving up his ministry....and the only reson he signed this paper was because they had him in a room by himself for about four hours.... telling him that he could go to jail because of some problems there had been. these men pressured my poor pastor into signing that poor documet.........ohhhh and the 100,ooo dollars they offered him was not because he had served the work of God oh no it was in exchange of the daycare that we had....im telling yall that all they want is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ thats all they see.
God has never abandoned my pastor and this time im sure it wont be an exception. i would say those men of God but they cantbe men of God because they cant even be men in in the first place, they will be judge not by men but by God. ohhhhhhh and yeah we have someplace where we can worsip God and not the GB....... to all yall cholos from the GB enjoy it while yall can cause it wont las long.
Primito, the city won't do for your identity. As far as we know you could be el Presidente G. Bush.
To all the brethern who are praying for Bro. Mendozas church...Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! We know we are not alone....
God Bless,
your sis in Crist
To Pastor 04/09 10:33 p.m.
I agree with your comment that pastors need to be formally and fully informed about the situation. Not everyone is aware of all the goings on, or they may know something is going on but not everything. No one should make a decision or voice an opinion on partial information.
The pastors then too should inform their congregations. It is time that a well informed letter be sent out. The plaintiffs may get even more support and in joining forces perhaps it can have a greater impact. Someone really should to take charge of this. I guess contacting the plaintiffs and asking how we can help is a start.

Does anybody know if we as members of the AA can start signing a petition to recall the members of the board and demand a new election?
Or has Sanchez and company taken care of that to? So no one can knock out of power.
A petition is a great idea...I hate that we ,as memebers of AA, don't have a say so...
A petition will do no good with these hoodlums in office. Even if it was signed by Jesus himself.

To: apostolicanalyst April 9, 2008 11:46 PM

Re: A petition will do no good with these hoodlums in office. Even if it was signed by Jesus himself.
I agree with you. After all, B. Sanchez said God told him not to disqualify Bishop Torres from being re-elected but he had no qualms with turning right around removing him from the position 3 months later. I wonder what our esteemed president's justification to God is now?
Bishop Sanchez,
Or any of your cronies that may peek into this blog.
I ask you this. Have you no conscience ?
Do you seriously think that so many people disagreeing with your tactics are backslidden rebels ?
How can you have recieved a word fro GOD to NOT remove Bishop Torres and then defy GOD and do the opposite ?
How long do you think The Lord can be patient in delaying his judgement over your life ?
Remember that if you dont humble yourself when GOD sends you a word. Then he will have to bring you down the hard way.
It looks as if your being stubborn and want to be brought down in a nasty way.
WOW your a bright one ? And your The President of The Assembly ?
Who are the retards responsable for voting you in ?
to ju.4all, very excellent remarks. We need to tell our pastors for them to get some spine and begin to send in their respective proposals already. We have heard that the GB has already set aside just one day for business meeting. It's a shame given that we have many constitutional issues to amend given the court's ruling. Let's tell our pastors of the significant contribution they can make if they all send in proposals to amend the AA's Constitution especially the electoral process.
Does anybody from Houston know what is the status of the group that remained after they removed Pastor Willie Mendoza? How many stayed? I hear that they have a big debt to service. Is the GB going to bail them out financially?
To HELLO
The information that you have received is incorrect.. However if you are a ATC member you should be ASHAMED of your self for twisting the words of your very own Pastor/Bishop, and you should go ask forgiveness from God and the Man of GOD and may God have Mercy on you For spreading these FALSE ACCUSATIONS.
And to get this story straight Bishop Mendoza from Stockton Ca NEVER said HE was leaving the Assembly! Hello- has twisted the words of our Bishop So that they could Spread more gossip to the burning Ears of those who have no spiritual life whos religion and life is in the internet gossip. And all these young people who have spread Gossip through the internet about the Men of GOD should be on there knees praying and interceding for these very men we as church members have no place to judge ANY MAN of GOD wether right or wrong these are gods Anointed Men. And, may GOD have mercy for those who have ever spoke evil about these men..
When will the GB show up to Baldemars church to remove him and put locks on the church?
GOD'S Anointed or man's appointed?
If this men were really God's anointed we wouldn't be in this mess.
and if a man with only 2 votes is
God's anointed there is something really wrong here
Some of you have made the comment
"let$ hit them where it hurt$".
But has anyone thought of how?
If we don't pay our tithes, we are disobeing God. If the pastor doesn't send the 10% of tithes he gets in trouble.
any ideas?
Give your 10% to some other place like the food bank or women shelter or what ever you think.
About the Pastor getting in trouble. The Pastor here isn't really a good Pastor so I don't care.
DJ,
You need to relax with your "sack-cloth and ashes" sermon. This is a web-log where nothing can be taken seriously or dogmatic.
I suggest you stop barking up a dead tree and take your internet-zeal elsewhere.

To those of you who are anxious to leave to go to the UPC, let me give you some insight.
My friend and her family have been with the UPC here in CA for about 20 years because they did not want to put up with the Assembly and the likes of them.
Now they want to leave the UPC because of the heavy financial burden. The Pastor is getting ready to build a new gymnasium and sanctuary and he is pressing everyone for money. They are reluctant to leave because they do not want to leave the Oneness doctrine and they are afraid to stop paying their tithes to the local church.
They do not want to return to the AA because Spanish is no longer their first language and they are bothered by the disorganization in the AA. Yet they put up with the control and force brought upon them by gringo Pastors.
Every Sunday after the singing and the Hallelujahs and the marathon races, the Pastor goes straight into the ‘sermon’ and begins asking for money. That is all he preaches about--money to build the new buildings.
This month he is going to be having the pledges just time when everyone is getting their tax refunds and the economic stimulus money from the government.
Instead of buying that long overdue dining room set or clothing for their children, the members have to turn that money over to the Pastor for building fund.
This church property is in the Pastors name-not in the name of the UPC. It becomes an inheritance for his children that YOU pay for.
Is this any different from Valverde?
I knew of a Mexican American lady who made about 1000 burritos per month as part of her pledge when Haney was building his church about 20 years ago. She and her family left the AA and went to the UPC. They worked hard there. They gave all. She is now with the Lord. Haney’s son Nathan has inherited the church. The Haneys arrive to church every Sunday in a long, black limo.
Think twice before you make that move. Things are not better over there. But that is the way we are. We rather work for the gringo than for our own people.
Why can’t we use our knowledge and education gained in the U.S., to work with our first time immigrants? Shouldn’t we invest in our own culture and develop them into thriving and successful people of God?
Instead of going to the UPC and be second class citizens there, lets go with Iglesia de Mexico, bring them our education, our organizational skills and the leadership they need to help our people prosper.
We don’t have to leave this country to do mission work. God is bringing these people to us. Get in touch with Iglesia Apostolica de Mexico.org.
TO D.J
you right about listening to the anointed ones but those men on the G.B are not annointed and to all those people saying that we follow a man you all are right we are following a man who has the lord in his heart and everything he does is to please God and only God we are diciples like in the Bible the diciples followed a man who had God in him. pray for wisdom and revelation bothers.

I am not in agreement with what happen to Pastor G.Mendoza in fact i know his whole life testimony and he is an awesome awesome man of God. His son Bishop Mendoza is also awesome man of God.. all that i am saying is that we need to allow God to take care of the g.b. we don't follow man we follow God. It was a Great injustice what has transpired in texas. One thing I know that Pastor G.Mendoza has ALWAYS allowed God to fight his battles and i know that is what he is doing now and he will continue to do!!!!
little eddie
these men on the board were all pastors first so if you read the bible God always anoints his leaders. how they got on the board is a total different story! and if you all (everyone who is blogging) would read the bible is state clearly "do not touch my anointed & do my prophets no harm" so just giving out some wise counsel so that you all would not curse your self and your seed read the story about aaron and korah and if you all had the fear of God you watch what you say. FYI I am not in agreement with the g.b. but i have the fear of God in me!
dj,
You are a perfect example of the mentality that has allowed this kind of behavior from the GB. When you write comments like, "and if you all (everyone who is blogging) would read the bible is state clearly 'do not touch my anointed & do my prophets no harm' so just giving out some wise counsel so that you all would not curse your self and your seed read the story about aaron and korah and if you all had the fear of God you watch what you say.'" it actually shows YOUR ignorance of the Scriptures.
Allow me to explain this to you! Everything that is happening falls under TWO categories of God's will. 1) God’s determined will, and 2) God’s permissive will. If you don't understand how both work, then YOU run the risk of being hurt and losing out on God’s blessing. First of all, Christians are commanded to do what is TRUTH not what is RIGHT! We are to follow, obey, and submit to leaders when they follow and obey God’s TRUTH. If a man of God violate God’s Word for his own personal gain, ANYBODY has the right to bring it up to their attention (God used a donkey to rebuke Balaam). This is done so people can repent and change their ways. If NO ONE exposes man's fault then, according to Jesus, this will happen, “Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Mattew 15:12-14 (NIV).
The Scriptures also say, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:6-11 (NIV). EXPOSE THEM!
What is happening right know is necessary in order for the men of God to repent and change their ways, because THEY ARE NOT always right! If anyone remains quiet about these SINS (they are sins), in their blindness they will lead you astray also. When men refuse to heed God’s correction through whatever method He uses (remember God used a donkey to speak to a prophet), it is up to us to STAND by the side of God’s TRUTH!!! Not by the side of who is a man of God or not. BECAUSE IF WE WERE TO MEASURE WHAT A MAN OF GOD HIS WITH THE SCRIPTURES - THE GB MEMEBERS WOULS SURELY NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS SUCH BECAUSE OF THEIR ACTIONS!
So my dear, dj before you try to make any wise comments, why don't you study the Scriptures FIRST!
Yesterday I was praying during my devotional time and I got a thought that disturbed me.
Later on in the day, I went and rented the story about Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple. It showed how they started as a community with a strong Pentecostal background. He convinced them to sell their personal items and share their wealth as in the primitive church.
At first, Jim Jones agenda was people focused and he wanted the best for them. After he acquired a large membership, and wealth and power came with it, it all went to his head.
He became a tyrant and started to rule over his flock with total authority and control. His care about the people and their needs was lost somewhere in the fog of money and manipulation. The Peoples Church became the Jim Jones Church.
While watching this movie, I could see the correlation between that organization and ours. Pastors throwing their Bibles on the floor, yelling and screaming at the people, legalistic man made rules. Did I hear that someone buried a Bible under a ‘cornerstone’ recently?
I would recommend that everyone see this video. I see the spirit of Jim Jones still alive and well in this world. I see it in some of our leaders.
The people allowed this man to control because they wanted a feeling of belonging, security and community. They literally sold their souls to this. Although they were terrified at his behavior toward the end, they dared not “GO AGAINST THE ANNOINTED OF GOD.” (Does this sound familiar?)
We need to be aware that NOT ALL THAT MAN SAYS comes from God. We need the spirit of discernment and we need to know who the wolves in our midst are.
On another note, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to congratulate those young ministers who had the courage to leave the Assembly before this avalanche of fraud, control and manipulation was brought to light and exposed.
They had the valor to get out and have been blessed in their ministry.
I remember Abel Aguilar saying that he wanted to leave because he was tired of all the dealings of Baldemar. Too bad he didn’t leave, I guess ‘things’ held him there.

To: apostolicanalyst April 9, 2008 11:46 PM
pecado.
what God is doing is hw is weedeating his garden to see who is ready and who is not for the great things he has for us....
PTL... Everyone.
I came across this blog page- and I was shocked to hear what people have to say about the apostolic assembly.
First of all, are we worshipping the assembly or God?
Most of all these bloggers are talking about what pastor did what or what church did this and that. But we aren't really talking about the 06 election. This has gone over the line. I am assuming this blog had a purpose, but now is turning in to a gossip site.
We need to sit down and really think about what we want to say and what accomplishment you think you will make with that comment. We can’t just go on and talk about our Pastors or church members...
If the authority did something wrong- let God judge them. Who are we to judge people, we are humans and we are not perfect. What we need is to pray, pray so that God would do his will- and if God is already doing it than praise God.
We need to be mature about things; we can’t just go around and bash people. Don’t you call yourself a Christian? What kind of Christian are you if you just gossip all day. Many people are reading this blog and I don’t doubt that they are thinking twice about giving their life to God. Choose your words wisely. We need to be a reflection of God, let people see what God has done in your life.
“Come-Again & “Sam”
First of SAM, you should be ashamed of yourself. If are really from FTC, what are you doing. Haven’t you learned anything from Bishop Valverde. You are just giving FTC a bad name. If FTC is a bad church or people are bad there, who cares. I know for fact that once you walk through that door you can feel the presence of God. It’s the relationship you have with God, not the gossip or the people. God died for me sins, and not to be a bench warmer.
Come-Again- I think you are the one that said that you aren’t Christian and that you visit FTC. Well good for you, keep on going to church. I seen the comment that you put in the past- “sam is the reason I don’t want to get baptize” well don’t let him be an obstacle in your life, sam is not going to save you, God is. The encounter you make with God is what matters to most. You pay your dues and let God handle the rest. You need to see past what you see in others. You see something in someone you don’t like, well just past them through and you make sure you don’t do it.
The assembly doesn’t save you, God does. Pay your dues to God, you at least him that for what he did in the Cross.

wow!! I read the article in La Opinion- 3rd page- today's date. It's a matter of time before it hits the spanish broadcasting networks-- then our cheese will be in the english news- no hiding now- DGB--- let's see you preach VICTORY now.
According to the 'La Opinion' article (spanish newspaper)- the federal case against these guys starts in May-- the IRS is getting involved.
I hadn't logged on in a while so I may be repeating old news-- according to my sources--our esteemed Bishop of the IDC (Inactive District of CA) or IDCA- whatever the hell we are (we've changed it so many times)Felipe Lugo TRIED to flex his wimpy muscles and TRIED to discipline Baldemar Rodriguez for his cooperation in this lawsuit. Guess what-- he was told by the Defendants' attorneys not to-- hands off! Any such action would produce serious reprocussions. The DGB were told they cannot touch any of the Plaintiffs.
Wow-- did anyone read the article in La Opinion on the Pachueco car scam? These guys are crapping their pants right now.
Wow I can hear the theme from JAWS in the back ground.
After reading the La Opinion Mr. Cheese. I think they are doing more then crapping their pants.
Wow I can just see Eddie wearing depends. He can't stop the flow.
I think what the paper said that its the tip of the iceberg.
Seems like all hell is getting ready to break lose.

I know my bible!!!! I also wouldnt follow any leader that tells me to drink red kool aid so that we could see the Lord if we do this or jump off a cliff to be saved.I was stating that we all need to have respect for leaders and that doesnt mean that we have to agree with everything that g.b. says.. we have the right to disagree i dont agree with what they did to the elections or what the did to pastor mendoza. but one thing i know is i that God has everything in his power and in God's time He will take care of who ever they may be that has not allow God to govern thur them and who has abused his authority that he has given these men... and every man will be held accountable for there actions...just like you for slandering these men they are God's elected whether you like it or not..remember king saul david knew he was wrong and had every right kill him but he knew better!!!!! All I am saying is that we should have the fear of God in us...like David and i know you dont just by the hypocritical comments cussing on one blog and now quoting scripture on another!!!!

Are "God's Anointed" Beyond Criticism?
by Hendrik H. Hanegraaff
from the Viewpoint column of the Christian Research Journal, Fall 1991, page 39. The Editor-in-Chief of the Christian Research Journal is Elliot Miller.
During His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ exhorted His followers not to judge self-righteously or hypocritically. Is this necessarily what Christians do when they question the teachings of God's "anointed" preachers and evangelists? Many teachers who claim such anointing would say so, and many more of their followers commonly reply to all manner of criticism: "Touch not God's anointed."
Some of these teachers add that such actions carry literally grave consequences. Prominent "faith" teacher Kenneth Copeland affirmed in his taped message, "Why All Are Not Healed": "There are people attempting to sit in judgment right today over the ministry that I'm responsible for, and the ministry that Kenneth E. Hagin is responsible for....Several people that I know had criticized and called that faith bunch out of Tulsa a cult. And some of 'em are dead right today in an early grave because of it, and there's more than one of them got cancer."
In addition to certain "word-faith" teachers, such sentiments may be found among various groups involved with shepherding and other forms of authoritarian rule (from diverse ministries to a host of large and small "fringe churches"). The leaders of these groups are commonly regarded as having a unique gift and calling that entitles them to unconditional authority. To dispute any of their words or deeds is not distinguished from questioning God Himself.
Advocates of such authority assume that Scripture supports their view. Their key biblical proof text is Psalm 105:15: "Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm" (KJV). But a close examination of this passage reveals that it has nothing to do with challenging the teachings of church leaders.
It first needs to be noted that the Old Testament phrase "the Lord's anointed" is typically used to refer to the kings of Israel (1 Sam. 12:3, 5; 24:6, 10; 26:9, 11, 16, 23; 2 Sam. 1:14, 16; 19:21; Ps. 20:6; Lam. 4:20), at times specifically to the royal line de-scended from David (Pss. 2:2; 18:50; 89:38, 51), and not to prophets and teachers. While the text does also mention prophets, in the context of Psalm 105 the reference is undoubtedly to the patriarchs in general (vv. 8-15; cf. 1 Chron. 16:15-22), and to Abraham (whom God called a prophet) in particular (Gen. 20:7). It is therefore debatable whether this passage can be applied to select leaders within the body of Christ.
Even if the text can be applied to certain church leaders today, in the context of this passage the words "touch" and "do harm" have to do with inflicting physical harm upon someone. Psalm 105:15 is therefore wholly irrelevant to the issue of questioning the teachings of any of God's "anointed."
Moreover, even if we accepted this misinterpretation of Psalm 105:15, how are we to know who not to "touch"; that is, who God's anointed and prophets are? Because they and their followers say they are? On such a basis we would have to accept the claims of Sun Myung Moon, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and virtually all cult leaders to be prophets. Because they reputedly perform miracles? The Antichrist and False Prophet themselves will possess that credential (Rev. 13:13-15; 2 Thess. 2:9)! No, God's representatives are known above all by their purity of character and doctrine (Tit. 1:7-9; 2:7-8; 2 Cor. 4:2; cf. 1 Tim. 6:3-4). If a would-be spokesperson for God cannot pass the biblical tests of character and doctrine, we have no basis for accepting his or her claim, and no reason to fear that in criticizing his or her teaching we might also be rejecting God.
Finally, if any individual Christian is to be considered anointed, then so every Christian must be as well. For this is the only sense in which the term is used (apart from Christ) in the New Testament: "You [referring to all believers] have an anointing from the Holy One" (1 John 2:20, NIV). Thus, no believer can justifiably claim any special status as God's "untouchable anointed" over other believers.
Nobody's teachings or practices are beyond biblical judgment -- especially influential leaders. Biblically, authority and accountability go hand in hand (e.g., Luke 12:48). The greater the responsibility one holds, the greater the accountability one has before God and His people.
Teachers should be extremely careful not to mislead any believer, for their calling carries with it a strict judgment (James 3:1). They should therefore be grateful when sincere Christians take the time to correct whatever erroneous doctrine they may be preaching to the masses. And should the criticisms be unfounded they should respond in the manner prescribed by Scripture: to correct misguided doctrinal opposition with gentle instruction (2 Tim. 2:25).
There is of course another side to this issue: criticism often can be sinful, leading to rebellion and unnecessary division. Christians should respect the leaders that God has given them (Heb. 13:17). Theirs is the task of assisting the church in its spiritual growth and doctrinal understanding (Eph. 4:11-16). At the same time believers should be aware that false teachers will arise among the Christian fold (Acts 20:28; 2 Pet. 2:1). This makes it imperative for us to test all things by Scripture, as the Bereans were commended for doing when they examined the words of the apostle Paul (Acts 17:11).
The Bible is useful not only for preaching, teaching, and encouragement, but for correcting and rebuking (2 Tim. 4:2). In fact, Christians are held accountable for proclaiming the whole will of God and warning others of false teachings and teachers (Acts 20:26-28; cf. Ezek. 33:7-9; 34:1-10).
We would do well to heed Scripture's repeated warnings to be on guard for false teachings (e.g., Rom. 16:17-18; cf. 1 Tim. 1:3-4; 4:16; 2 Tim. 1:13-14; Tit. 1:9; 2:1), and to point them out to believers (2 Tim. 4:6). With so much scriptural support, such actions can hardly be considered unbiblical.

La Opinion is a well established Spanish language newspaper based in Los Angeles, reaching out to the Spanish speaking communities in several states. Among Hispanics, it is well known and has a lot of influence with Latinos, both blue collar and professionals. It has been owned for three generations by the same family.
Hello,
That was a great article.
It is sad to see how many Apostolic Pastors use these tactics to control and keep their flock in line.
A Pastor should be one who serves his congregation with love and compassion like a good father.
And when he needs to correct someone it should be done with wisdom, tact and gentleness.
Too many of our Pastors are machista arrogant power hungry little men that couldnt cut it in corporate america for a minute.
They walk around with a self importance and an inflated ego, because they have never achieved any success outside of church.
So they get drunk with power when they see that the poor humble hermanos do everything they say.
Hey well i really don't understand what's going on but i belive that everyhting is a plan from the lord because nothing happens unless he allows it to happen
Yes he allows things to happen because he has given us free will.
However that doesnt mean that because God allows it that it is right.
I read the newspaper article. This is unbelievable. Let me get this straight. The plaintiffs sue the Assembly in state court, and they lose. Now, they're gonna run to federal court to make immigration and tax claims? what's next, the International Criminal Court in the Hague? While we're at it, why don't we just cut to the chase and send all the defendants down to Guantanamo? Seems like everyone around here is already convinced of their guilt, so why not? Due process be darned!
You're right Enrique, these people ARE power hungry; I'm referring, of course, to the plaintiffs and not the defendants. They are so power hungry that, even after the beat down that they received in state court, they're now running to federal court like little sore losers to vent their frustrations nationwide.
What purpose, other than embarrassing and diminishing our beloved church, was there to the articles in La Opinion? Since they can't win in court, I guess the next best thing is to win in the court of public opinion. Problem is that Joe Schmoe down the street is powerless to change anything, and all we've done is lose our chance to win them over to Christ.
Oh, and I would be careful if I'm Baldemar and Salomon, because all of their own actions (or lack thereof) while THEY were in office will also come into play. You see, there's this little affirmitive defense called "unclean hands."
Lord have mercy on them for the havoc that they will cause our own people in our churches (who may be here illegally) if they pursue this any further.
For every action there is a reaction. So for the GB to have done what it did it started a chain of events that cannot be stopped. You are right about being power hungry apww08. However it was the defendants. Now look what they are doing to our beloved organization.
In the Catholics case there was a cause and a reaction. The cause was the current priests felt to powerful. So look at the damage they did to their religion.
Same thing all this is done in the name of God. Now that is embarrassing. It is a simple case of cause and effect. The sins of one affect many. The dealings of the GB are affecting us all.
The La Opinion is full of lies and deciets and plashamies!
Wow. You're comparing pedophilia to supposed election fraud. Just by that comparison, any neutral observer can readily see that you come with an agenda.
To clarify your erroneous assertion, the state court did "stop" your supposed "chain of events that cannot be stopped." If they hadn't, we'd all be talking about the new elections we'd be having. But we're not. We're instead discussing an article in a Spanish newspaper, where some dissenters are making outlandish and unsupported declarations in their effort to ruffle some feathers.
I ask again, what will that accomplish, other than poisining the well so that those who have read the article won't wany anything to do with our organization?
Do you think that it's fair for Pastor X, who simply wants to do what God called him to do and that's to win souls for Christ? This article has only made his work that much harder, because he's the one that will have to explain this to them.
Shame on you for advocating the destruction of our beloved church, all because poor Salomon's not pulling in an extra paycheck when he wasn't re-elected.

you do not have the facts on your side...
1. the plaintiffs did not lose in state court, read the court hearing document on info to get your statement right.
2. the plaintiffs had nothing to do with "la opinion", they were called about it and two of them made statements.
3. the whistleblowers on the irs and immigration references in "la opinion" are not the plaintiffs either.
like they say in journalism: when in doubt, check it out. why don't you call isaias alvarado (la opinion writer) and ask him if the plaintiffs called him for the lead on his story?
The La Opinion is a RAG! Its like the enquirer and a mexican tabloid for the uneducated. Full of LIES, LIES, LIES!
Its just a rag full of undocumented junk like its readers its UNDOCUMENTED!
LIES!
Apww08 we all come in here with an agenda. A neutral observer would not post a bulletin for nor against the issue. Both of us myself included did have an agenda. First you wrote about your agenda then I posted mine. Cause and effect
Chain of events: you right a response, then I will write a response, then you, then me, in a never ending cycle until unfortunately the issue will be extended until eventually we will both stop blogging.
Ynos,
Apparently, you can't read. I never said that the article was a work of the plaintiffs. I only made reference to the author's comment that the plaintiffs would sue in federal court.
So, if the plaintiffs didn't lose in state court, then what do call it when a judge DENIES your motion for new election? If the plaintiffs didn't lose, then explain this:
Why would the plaintiffs want to appeal if they DID NOT, by your account, lose?
On your last point, the author of the article doesn't make clear who the plaintiffs are in the IRS & immigration claim. The reader is left to believe that the plaintiffs in the state claim and those making the IRS and immigration claims are one and the same.
The day after the plaintiffs prevail in federal court, I'd turn around and sue each and every plaintiff for libel and slander.

What about age discrimination in the case of Bro. Willie Mendoza or defamation of character in the case of Bro. Abel Torres.
apoww08:
‘I ask again, what will that accomplish, other than poisoning the well so that those who have read the article won't want anything to do with our organization?’
My friend . . . the well was already poisoned. Do you really want people to be won to the Apostolic Assembly led by Daniel ‘Jim Jones’ Sanchez? Talk about a poisoned well – the poison was poured out in place of anointing November 2006.
People need to follow Christ, not the DGB/AA. Many people may have left the church and set aside their relationship with Christ because they associated Jesus with the AA. Maybe by posting this article many people that have already left the fold because of the improprieties of the DGB will return once honor is restored. And maybe this will prevent a Jim Jones type of catastrophe by removing the poison from the hands of the DGB.
Lets see if the space cadets try to get us ready for the spaceship to land and take us away . . .
And speaking of Space Cadets. Just the fact that they have Sam posting on this blog shows how inept they truly are!
Age discrimination is VERY hard to prove, especiall when Bro. Mendoza signed a legal document stipulating to his retirement.
But, let's go with your fantasy nonetheless. If Bro. Mendoza did go through with an age discrimination lawsuit, he better be ready to return the retirement money that he got. He can't have it both ways.
I'm not aware of any defamation of character on the behalf of the plaintiffs against Bro. Torres. Do you have a legal recording or a document where such defamation is shown, or (like everyone else here)do you just enjoy spewing incorrect comments for the fun of it?
IAM:
I don't think you truly mean what you've just written. So, leading souls to Christ in a Salomon-led Assembly would be A-OK in your book, but it isn't ok in a Dan Sanchez-led Assembly? Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?
What about the 600+ pastors who are the ones in the trenches trying their best to fulfill Christ's Commission? Should they stop evangelizing simply because they don't like the Bishop leading their Assembly?
To: apoww08
Discrimination?...
You better check your sources before you comment on this issue...
Whomever told you Bro. Mendoza received retirement money does not know what they're talking about (just like you, who tends to comment on issues that don't concern you, because you obviously don't have anything better to do).
Rev. Mendoza hasn't received any money from the AA, in my opinion ( I have the right to have an opinion because he is my Pastor) he deserves his retirement money, but he is not fighting for it...
I suggest before you comment...be informed!!! Ignorance is a poor quality to have....
I believe you are misinformed.
First of all, Bro. Mendoza never received any retirement money. There is nothing to return.
Secondly, in the state of Texas one has several days after a contract has been signed to change their mind. Simply put, Bro. Mendoza was within his right to change his mind.
apoww08
"...enjoy spewing incorrect comments for the fun of it..."?
I suggest you be informed and lead by example.
Does anyone have an update on Bishop Joe Mendoza? Did he in fact resign as Bishop and did he go independent?
The other day I was looking at the Dorcas Web page regarding the up coming Retreat the Dorcas will have in Santa Clara, California near San Francisco. The tube picture shows the Screaming going on by Abel Aguilar and Sam Valverde. They are Comrades NOW, thanks to Cescia and Rachel.
We can see and hear in the tube web page, the screaming and jumping of two infantiles who never grew up and have no Christian maturity, WELL LEARNED FROM THEIR MENTOR, Daniel Jauhall in the 70-80’s.
It is a shame that this continues and the congregation “BETTER REACT TO THE BEAT OF THEIR DRUM OR THEY WILL BE LABLED AS REBELS. THEY BETTER LIKE IT OR LEAVE.” The Pep Rally performers say “ THIS IS OUR APOSTOLIC ASSEMBLY... IF YOU DON’T APPROVE OR PERFORM AS WE COMMAND YOU TO PERFORM THEN LEAVE..“
That is why, my brothers and sisters ...many have left. And many more will because they have said, “Enough is enough.”
But then the Pep Rally performers are happy, because they will stay with those that do not know any better, on how to worship God, in spirit and in truth.”
The church is in the condition that it is today because the Bible states that, “The Lord abides in the midst of worship.” And the Lord has left the Apostolic “Screamers and Pep Rallies and Hip Hoppers” because of lack of Respect to God’s songs in worship.
Where are the songs that bring hope, encouragement and conviction in the meaning of the song writer’s inspirational message?
If you want to know why, just look at that “tube web page.” Worship has never been learned by those and others. And if being a screamer and looking as they are so “MAD, and distorted, well, this will be a pattern to follow by those aspiring to get into the General Board or even to be a Bishop.
Just be friends with Aguilar’s wife Cescia and Rachel Valverde and you will be ‘voted’ in fraudulently.
No matter how many pastors vote for someone else. The bigger the screamer, the “madder” the shouts then Valverde and Sanchez and Aguilar will approve you for the position of Bishop or GBM.
apoww08
The ridiculous thing is to have a leader that says ‘let’s prayerfully consider . . .’ but in the end says it doesn’t matter what God says, because I’m in charge.
It’s like the story of the priest the minister and the rabbi discussing how they determine what part of the church income they keep and what part they allow the church to keep. The priest makes a small circle and throws up the offering – the money that lands in the circle he keeps and the rest goes to God. The minister draws a line, throws up the money and whatever falls on the right side of the line he keeps and the rest goes to God. Then comes the rabbi who says ‘I just throw the money up and whatever God wants He keeps.
Our DGB says we throw away all of the votes awarded to anyone other than their own appointee - if God wants someone different He needs to express Himself with an audible voice and handwriting on the wall.
Back to your leadership question . . . the 600+ pastors in the trenches should absolutely continue evangelizing people to Christ regardless of who is in the president’s seat. That being said, they should not support the current DGB. Doing so places them in a position of following after the will of men rather than the will of God. I wonder if they said selling everything and joining Jim Jones group was ridiculous?
What would you say if Dan Sanchez decided to put Ted Kaczynski on the GB? Then all he would have to do is send letters to the plaintiffs and the threats would be gone. Or maybe Jeffrey Dahmer, he could have the plaintiffs for lunch then we would never hear from them again. If you don’t know who they are, Google the names.
How would you feel as a Pastor knowing what happened at the election? First, you set aside time away from your family to attend the convention so your voice/vote can be heard. Then you make a considerable expense to travel to the convention. You spend an entire day in the election process waiting for the anointing of God to be demonstrated by the outcome of the majority vote of you and your fellow laborers. In the end you find out you could have stayed home because the appointments were already made by a group of men who decided to bypass the will of God so they can keep their high paid positions.
Now we have 600+ Pastors finding out their votes were hijacked and questioning their leadership. If the DGB could steal an election, what else are they capable of? This places a seed of doubt in their minds.
The amount of time wasted at the fraudulent election, along with the time wasted with the lawsuit and the time we’re all wasting on the blogs and AA.info sites can all be attributed the disingenuous actions of the DGB. How many souls have gone without being reached because of this fraud? How much money has been used in this process that could have been used to save souls? It’s not over yet.
We all know that ultimately God is in control and He will remedy the situation.

I'm a non-convert that has been visiting FTC for the last 6 month, and after reading your blog dated April 16, 2008 2:12 PM, I'm more confused than ever. You said, "What purpose, other than embarrassing and diminishing our beloved church, was there to the articles in La Opinion? Since they can't win in court, I guess the next best thing is to win in the court of public opinion. Problem is that Joe Schmoe down the street is powerless to change anything, and all we've done is lose our chance to win them over to Christ."
I'm confused because I see, on a weekly basis an ugly change in Pastor Valverde, and this change in haughtyness is what is giving me second thoughts of ever coming to church! Furthermore I read these Scriptures last night, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. And think that all these happenings are acually exposing the works of darkness.
Then I read that we (including the men of God), are to “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.” 1 Peter 2:12-17 (NIV).
And then I think, God has appointed earthly human beings to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. Yet you ignore these Scriptures by excussing and accepting the evil action of this GB. Furthermore, as you can see by the idiotic writtings of Sam, which I know and see in church - you're starting to sound like him!
I'm asking you to explain these Scriptures to me because you seem to sound a little more educated and knowledgeable than the likes of Sam. However, your blogs do trully disturb my soul. Please help me understand.
Seeking the answer.
come again,
Are you asking about Bishop Joe Mendoza from Stockton, CA Bishop of Northern Golden Valley District?
If so the answer is no.He has not gone independent or resigned
I was asking about the Bishop Joe Mendoza who is the son of Bro. Willie Mendoza.
cbg:
I read with great interest your blog of 4/17, 8:45am.
Your knowledge of Scripture and its relevance surprised and impressed me.
This problem of power and control has been in existance for a long time with the General Board of the Apostolic Assembly and became the modis operendi (way of doing things) of the Baldemar and Jauhall reign; and has now surfaced, caused untold damage in the church and now has gone public to do even more damage.
You understand the correlation between submitting to correct authority and rejecting evil in self-appointed authority, better than most so-called christians who write in these blogs.
You quote Eph. 5:6-11, and you drove me to the commentary. I'll share my thoughts:
"Let no man decieve you.."
We have been deceived by the DGB, like I said earlier, for many years. My question, is WHY, if we knew things were bad, did we let them get away with it so long?
We knew, but we were afraid and we did not want to lose our sense of belonging to this church community where we found an identity even though we knew these men were evil and corrupt.
We were taught to respect the King. We thought Nava and other Board members were the Kings; uou see, WE TWISTED AND CONFUSED THE SCRIPTURES.
1. We allowed ourselves to be deceived.
2. We respected these men who were corrupt and self made HEROS.
3. These men do not operate in the light, but in darkness because they have bought into the immoral and materialistic society that surrounds us.
1 Peter 5: 12-17
Here's what the commentary says:
"ALL men are to honored as those for whom Christ died, and in whom the divine likeness can be restored.
While there is a special relationship of love within the CHristian brotherhood, GOD is to be approached with WORSHIP and the emperor with respect.
The DGB expect and demand that we honor and to some degree, worship them. They expect not to have to be accountable to ANYONE.
How can they be annointed men of God if they still live in the darkness? These are self appointed men. Because they have bought into the world's concept of good living.
If we truly live in the light of Christ, we are to have nothing to do with them and we are to expose them. (That is what the Word says).
Hey, what are you doing sitting under Valverde? You are very knowledgeable and knew exactly what scriptures to give us and inform us. You may be a non convert but you are no novice to the Word of God.
For as long as I can remember, I have gone to an Apostolic Church. I came up as Junior and later a Youth. I wanted to be like this men I would see. They inspired me. Its hard not get get all caught up in it. As I grew stronger on the Lord I was chosen as a deacon at my local church. I thought life could not get better until I ran into some harsh reality. It is not who you are but who you know and are related to. Unlike the GB I was first generation Apostolic. I did not have Daddy's or Grandpa's pull. I quickly understood that if I did not quickly make some allies with pull I would never achieve anything. For many years I refused it and was severely punish for it.
This is NOT new, this goes way back and you see a version of this in every church. It is sad to say that what we first believed is all a lie, and the people we once trusted are finally seen as what they are. Church and state never mix, just like corporations and organizations bring out the worst in us. I believe God is finally showings us what we need to see. The fact that we should not trust in men but trust in our only savior Jesus. Like Joshua once said "as for me and my family we will server the Lord.
Here is my proposal, once blogger said "hit them were it hurts" why them and why us. the time has come that everyone take responsibility for their family. We need to stay home and worship God like the days when persecution was avid. My family and together with some God loving families will get together 2x a week at our homes and worship God. We will serve our community as God has intended us to and we will not bring down our banner. lets take it back to the home until everything clears and keep the faith praying for Gos Will. Find a family a friend and have yourself a good time. As I remember those were the lasting moments in my spiritual walk. It wasn't the 5 hour service during convention but it was those moments that God and I had. The AA might come and go but God is still faithful. As for me and my house we WILL serve GOD.
back2basics that is so true. I agree with everything you just said. The only thing I do ask about is when you said it is not who you are. Did you mean to say it is not about us but it is about God. We get to caught up in what we can do rather than what God can do. A concept I tell our church many time the I principle. When in reality it is about God and sometimes we as humnas forget that. We all need to analyze ourselves me included and realized that is about God. We are caught up in what we can do as opposed to what God can do. I really do agree with you though
to apostolic_insider
Yes, its never about us.
Once we take the us out then things become clear. One more thing I'd like to add is that remember that that their is a generation after that will suffer the choices we made today. Its not too late to rectify our ways. Viva Cristo y Viva la Familia en El.
To Radical for Jesus:
Sorry but YOU are the one that does not know what you are talking about....
I wrote about a month or so ago, on the history of the United Pentecostal Church headquatered in St. Louis, Missouri, on the years of General Superintendent, Brother
Chambers.
You do not seem to understand that the difference from then and NOW is the fact that back then, the moneyless, uneducated immigrant was beneath the level and unworthy of membership in the United Pentecostal organization.
The early Apostolic Assembly pastors needing to baptize new converts, asked to use the baptistery of the United Pentecostal Church so that they did not have to go to the river, especially in cold weather, but the UPC pastor would reply, “Sorry Brother, but my congregation would not approve of this.”
LATER, MUCH LATER, OR MAY I SAY NOW.... The UPC has measured the salaries and the giving POWER of the Hispanic and NOW, they are accepted....
In Western Apostolic Bible College, marrying outside the “WHITE RACE”, is strictly
prohibited. I guess they don’t know that “White” is not a race, but an ethnicity.
There are 3 races, Caucasian, Negroid and Asian. But of course, the UPC, racists call themselves “White” even though they may be “Pink.” This we know, is ridiculous to fight over, White, Brown, Yellow, Black or pink. But sadly my dear sister, this is the truth. How else can this group of white folks keep control over their extensive properties and assets?
I mentioned in other blogs that a friend of mine over at the UPC wants to leave because of the marathon runs and the extensive sermons asking for money. As well as the guilt trips they give their members if they do not hand over the tax refunds and the government stimuls money.
Inter-marriage was especially prohibited, when the Older Brother Haney was in control. He was, by the way, accidentally killed in a deer hunting expedition. He was the father of Kenneth Haney, now General Superintendent.
Go there...... as you suggest and be under the “White Massa” If any other organization is classified as a “true cult” it is the UPC.
Sure they have a Hispanic Ministry, BUT IT IS NOT UNDER A HISPANIC BOARD... It is and will always be CONTROLED by the UPC Board in Missouri. Maybe to work for them is what makes us HISPANICS feel so accomplished and complete...working in servitude.
The Iglesia de Mexico did not have a division because of the Cell groups. Get your facts right. The division was not under the cell groups of 12. The Iglesia de Mexico works under the group of 7 in each group. The groups are based according to Luke’s report on the ministry of Jesus, where He would go to the homes of the saints and preach and also to the synagogues.
The Iglesia de Mexico does not have as many Temples or Church buildings as the Assembly does, so they meet more often in cell groups.
I was at the Iglesia de Mexico convention recently and at no time were pastor yelled at or pressured or forced to give exhorbitant amount of money to the General Board. Everything was done in order and people gave what they could and were left with their dignity.
The Iglesia de Mexico has well taught personnel in Mexico. But in the United States, the Iglesia de Mexico does not have well established experienced personnel because there are so many new comers.
Go work with them my dear sister, and use your expertise with them, they are “OUR People.”
The Apostolic Assembly also has a President and another General Board of its own in Mexico. So what are they complaining about? The Iglesia de Mexico was part of the founding of The Apostolic Assembly in the 20’s.
The World Wide Pentecostal Fellowship came out of the Calvary Chapel and the Vineyard. It is mostly based on the trinity. They are based in El Paso. Texas.
It is sad that Baldemar Rodriguez cannot go to any of these three organizations, because when Baldemar was in his reign with the Arellanos, Jauhall, Salomon and Cota, they broke fellowship with these three organizations because of “Power and Control.”
I also agree that this Pastor, his family and others, SHOULD “NOT FORGET THE FELLOWSHIP,” as the Bible states.
But my dear sister, groups that have a home base, as they grow, may organize and register themselves as a non-profit corporation and it may be where you and yours may find peace.
“Trust in the Lord thy God and lean not in your own understandings. In all yours ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
God’s blessings be with you..
Alerta! ¡Alerta! ¡Alerta!
There is nothing that can be done.
As long as this weak and power hungry men have the power to bully and line their pockets, they will stay and do what they please.
They will never humble them selves because they are spineless wimps who other wise in the real world would be afraid of a gnat.
Their postions gives them a sense of power that they would never have.
They hide behind the pupit and preach "don't go up against God's anointed" US!!!
Scare tactics keep the hermanos scared. Thats why nothing was done to the number one DGB member Edward Pacheco for the car scam he was involved in, because when hermanos complained to the Pastor it was "Oh don't go up against God's anionted" and if you do you will be put in pruba for making trouble.
This is my take on this whole election fiasco.
There has been abuse of power since the years of Llorrente, Nava, Cantu, E.Valverde, Jauhall & Vizcarra.
However when Baldemar & Co. took over, they did so with an arrogance and that was when things in the AA took a turn for the very worse.
This all started when Baldemar started to cut off our relationship with the Iglesia Apostolica.
(This a microcosim of how abuse
We had a "check of balance" and power. How?
Mexico would be a part of our Qualifying committee and we would also do the same for them in their General Board elections.
Baldemar cut this "check and balance" out by breaking our relationship with them. Baldemar was on stage at general convention for the Iglesia in Mexico. When he didn't like what a minister was saying he got up, asked the rest of his board members to walk out with him. They walked out of the general convention service in front of thousands. Why make a scene? Nothing anyone is saying should provoke this type of behavior much less what a minister said.
Is that disrespectful or what?
Baldemar is now seeing the effects of taking out that "check and balance"! "What goes around, comes around".
Baldemar is next on the chopping block list of pastor's to be removed. He is already prohibited from visiting other AA churches and it is just a matter of time before he is dismissed as a pastor within the AA.
(You heard it here, first)
NEXT POINT:
Now we have discovered that the pastor's do not elect the board, but rather those in power elect the board.
Do you know who puts in the pastor's? The district bishop? No ladies and gentlemen...it is not the district bishop. The district bishop can try to put in a person but the President makes the final choice because he has to approve it first. Normally the President doesn't oppose unless it is a larger church.
If the church is a larger church the AA President picks the pastor.
CRAZY?
Now God's vengence is upon Baldemar through the hands of the current board (Sanchez, Valverde). Baldemar will be removed as an AA pastor.
Valverde will take over in 2010 and be president until 2018. Then he will take Sanchez' church in 2014. Sanchez will also see God's revenge and then you will see Valverde pay for his sin's of manipulation. Everyone must pay for their sins, no one is untouchable.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7
Do I want bad to come either side?
NO! Absolutely not, but the Word of God is True and it shall come to pass no matter how powerful a person may act.
Both sides of the aisle are guilty. Both sides!
So what now?
Can we be the same again?
The answer is NO.
I'm not completely sure but now it looks like Sam V. is head console on the Constitution revision Committee. Let me guess who is on the panel. The GB and family. This is insane this is not going to get any better but yet is getting worse.
Its time to demand major changes in the constitution. We are the only Oneness institution that belittles women and goes forth blindly.
Here are the subjects that need to be revised.
1. Women and the Ministry.
2. Get rid of the Velo. For ever it has been label we have given women. half the women wear them but have their hair appointments every month with the local salon.
3. Whats wrong with the wedding band? Some Rolex watches that these young ladies and men get are more jewelry than these.
4. And lose the we are lonely immigrants attitude. We are in America lets act like it. We are not 2nd class Christians.
The year 2008 is here yet we are living as if we were in 1958.
Atención Pastores – Declaración de Daniel Sánchez. Abril 19, 2008.
(Qué fácil ¿No?
El C.I.D.
¡He Dicho!
Justice:
Thank you for you thoughtful and insightful piece of history. It sounds like you and I are from the same era. You have your history correct.
You mentioned that there was abuse of power since the time of Llorente and Nave, etc., but you left out that the Apostolic Assembly inherited Leonardo Sepulveda from the church of Mexico after he had been giving the Iglesia de Mexico, (who had sponsored him for many years) problems with his prophecies and spiritual intimidations outside the Christian realm.
During the 1950’s, the AA wanted to build a school and a college on a vast piece of property that the Assembly had purchased in Arlington, CA.
But because it was not accomplished during the reign of Nava, he did not want it built after. Sepulveda blocked any attempts to start construction until the zoning was changed, and they were unable to build at all.
As a missionary for about six years, Sepulveda was able to live and work unsupervised. When he came to the U.S., he continued living and working unchallenged by anyone except Nava.
Nava was neutralized after his car accident, so Sepulveda and Baldemar joined forces. Baldemar Rodriguez has said that Leonard Sepulveda was his spiritual father.
We know that Sepulveda, who always stayed under the radar, was Baldemar’s mentor. The things that those two did together are the end result that we are seeing now.
We also had Jauhall as Vice President for many years- he dictated and monitored the decisions that should have been made by the President, Lorenzo Salazar. Salazar, being a man of peace, went along with him.
Baldemar and Jauhall bucked horns many times, and he finally sent Jauhall to Portland, Oregon, where he retired.
Nava placed his son-in-law, Adam Lopez in Union City, CA, by removing the Pastor who purchased the Union City properties, and handed his son-in-law, the work and sweat of another pastor.
Nava, having lived over 100 years, had a powerful and direct influence over those that you listed in your article.
He approved their positions.
He taught them the art of dictatorship; control, manipulation and fraud.
I have to believe that many of those men did not want to govern in that way, but they were powerless under Nava. Even though they were the President or Vice, they had to do what he said. He ruled from behind the scenes for many years.
What Baldemar did to the Iglesia de Mexico, by walking out with all his Board, shows his lack of respect and ethic. Do not doubt for a moment that given the opportunity, Nava would have done the same.
Adding to your list of Bad Board Brothers, history is showing us that the corruption we see now, has been grown, nourished and developed from long ago.
Daniel Sanchez, Valverde, Salomon and Pacheco are just another set of crooks who learned well while as kids they slept under the church benches.
P.S. Is there a reason why Baldemar’s name was conspicuously absent from Henry Palma’s report to La Opinion?
I fully stand by the statements I made to La Opinion and other media outlets. If anyone has any questions, please fill free to email me at:

Apostolic Analyst:
I agree with your take on AA history. It is obvious you know what you are talking about. However, even though I know how Nava was... I don't see him walking out on Rivas, Ortega and Gaxiola of Mexico. He had a little more respect than these last couple of AA administrations.
We are living in perilous times. Those men use to greet each other with a holy kiss on their lips. (Some say it was a mafia kiss) I had the opportunity to know Llorente, Rivas, Nava, Sepulveda, Cantu, Efrain Valverde, Maclovio & Manuel Gaxiola, Vizcarra, Jauhall, ...You name it. But it has really gotten out of hand these last couple of administrations.
A person visited Samuel Valverde's church and Valverde asked his congregation "what happened to the days when a leader of the AA organization would come to your church and the very shadow of the organizational leader was enough to make you tremble"(paraphrasing).
That is the thinking of our new leaders. They think you should tremble when they walk into a room.
As well as I knew many of the AA founders, I never saw the level of arrogance this new leadership displays.
Jewelry: Does the Bible Say it's a Sin?
What the Scriptures Really Say
by Jason Young
There are two separate verses in the New Testament that, at first glance, appear to teach against wearing jewelry. The first is 1 Pet 3:3 which reads,
“Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel…”
The second and very similar verse is 1 Tim 2:9 that says,
“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array…”
But are these scriptures forbidding the use of jewelry by Christians?
A number of holiness-based Christian groups have come to that conclusion, but doing so fails to consider the numerous other passages in the Bible that actually appear to endorse the use of jewelry. In fact, many places in the Bible show that God uses jewelry as a blessing to his children.
One of the first passages in the Bible to deal with jewelry is Gen 24:47, 48 which reads,
“And I asked her, and said, whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands. And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter unto his son.”
Here we have a rather tender story of Abraham's servant giving jewelry to Rebekah, who was the woman God had specially chosen for Isaac. The servant then bows his head and worships God. If jewelry were sinful, his offering it as a gift to Rebekah, and then subsequently worshipping God, would be irreverent and inappropriate.
We find another such example in Gen 41:42, which says,
“And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck...”
Joseph was one of the greatest men of the Old Testament, and God blessed him greatly because of his faithfulness. In this verse, we find Joseph accepting jewelry as a gift from Pharaoh. If God forbade jewelry, undoubtedly, Joseph would have rejected this gift.
David, the man said to be after God’s own heart,1 writes in Ps 25:12,
“As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.”
David compares gold earrings to the way an obedient ear accepts wise instruction. Surely if jewelry were a sin, David would never have made a comparison between wise behavior and something that is sinful.
The prophet Isaiah wrote in Isa 61:10,
“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.”
Isaiah compares righteousness and salvation to a bride and bridegroom who adorn themselves with jewelry. Would Isaiah compare a sinful activity to the salvation and righteousness of God?
God, through Jeremiah, speaks of jewelry in this way:
“Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me days without number.” (Jer 2:32)
God compares forgetting about him to a maid who forgets her jewelry. Again, if jewelry were sinful, God would never have made such a comparison.
In Ezek 16:11-13, God says that he has blessed his children with bracelets, necklaces, earrings, jewels and crowns,
“I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.”
God would not offer his children something sinful as a gift or reward.
Some may argue that God once gave and blessed the use of jewelry, but because of the vanity and disobedience of Israel, he no longer does, which is why it is forbidden in the New Testament. The problem with such an assertion is that it is not taught in the scriptures. In fact, the scriptures contradict such an idea. Luke 15:22 says,
“But the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand…”
This verse is from the parable of the Prodigal Son, given by Jesus. Surely, Jesus would not have used a sinful practice as part of his parable.
Considering the overwhelming body of evidence that God not only doesn’t condemn the use of jewelry but has actually given it as a gift to his faithful children, it cannot reasonably be stated that jewelry is a sin. In light of this, let's take another look at the verses used to support the belief that the use of jewelry is forbidden:
“Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel…” (1 Pet 3:3)
“In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array…” (1 Tim 2:9)
What exactly are Peter and Paul teaching in these verses? They are simply teaching that Christians should be more concerned with beautifying the inward man than beautifying the outward man. They are teaching that as Christians, we should not be overly concerned with outward beauty. Jewelry, like every other good thing from God, can and has been abused by carnal man.
It is important not to take one or two passages in isolation and make a doctrine out of them without first considering the entire weight of scriptural teachings. Doing so will inevitably lead to errant teachings and inaccurate assumptions about God’s word. These verses that deal with outward modesty are certainly no exception. A careful and honest evaluation of all relevant scriptures reveals that Paul is not forbidding the use of jewelry; he is merely instructing us to use it in moderation and to place the greater emphasis on inward adorning.
Henry:
I appreciate what you have done to bring this stuff out.
My only question was why did you not mention B.R. as one of those who also did wrong?
BR wasn't the topic of discussion.
Henry:
Let me reiterate once again that I agree with what you said on the newspaper articles.
I heard that most of the Pastors were not even aware that the GB has been taken to court.
In that their tithing pays for this, they certainly should have been informed.
Some mistakes made were:
(1) Delfino Santana was the Pastor of El Siloe, he is not. The Pastor of El Siloe is Abel Rodriguez, another apointee of nepotism from the Nava reign.
(2) The article said that Salvador Mendoza is an attorney. He is not an attorney. At one time he was the President of the Messengers of Peace when he lived in Oxnard, CA.
(3) The article also said that Daniel Sanchez was the Secretary General instead of the Presiding Bishop.
(4) The article claims that Daniel Salomon is the Bishop in Denver, CO. He is not, but he is the Pastor of a Denver church.
Daniel Salomon is mentioned as the head of the Plaintiffs. Abel Torres is mentioned, Saul Avila, etc.
Baldemar, who was the culprit of 23years of fraudulent elections was not mentioned. Why not?
Again, I'm glad that this is out there where people can see what is happening.
There is a small possibility that things can change.
It is my prayer.
Apostolic Analyst:
I appreciate your comments. However, the corrections should be made to the journelist who wrote the article.
The corrections you provided are not information that I provided. Nor were they in the scope of the questions asked of me.
The email address for the writer is listed on the article. Corrections should be made to him.
For your concerns on the elections during Baldemar's tenure as head of the AA, they are not in question in the current lawsuit.
For the record, the current lawsuit and past elections are not my concern.
My issues are with one man in particular, the man who defrauded many hermanos including my parents, whom still serves on the General Board, and whom is sanctioned as a licensed minister and pastor of the Apostolic Assembly, Mr. Edward Pacheco.
Though the statute of limitations for his criminal prosecution for his activities with the car scam has expired, there is no limiitation the prohibits people from discussing the matter.
Edward Pacheco, in the opinion of many, is not suited nor qualified to serve the church in the capacities he currently is serving, as a licensed minister, pastor, and bishop. But for his family ties to Sam Valverde, he would not be on the general board. Furthermore, it is a mystery how a man with such a background could still maintain his ministerial license with the AA.
A minister is a position of trust. Edward Pacheco violated that trust for his own personal gain many years ago. If the law were to state that ministers have a fiduciary duty, then he would have been in breach of that duty many years ago.
Many of his victims are now elderly. Some have passed away. But from the grave they still cry for Edward Pacheco to account to them for his actions. For many, a simple "I'm sorry" would suffice. But this man, full of earthly pride, refuses to admit any wrong doing.
Henry
According to APWC this occurred in 1981. 27 years is a long time to still bring this issue up. What exactly happen with Eddie Pacheco? Was it Eddie that performed the scam or was it the company he worked for? What was his role in the so called car scam? I hope you going to the media sure solved the problem with the assembly.
WWW
According to APWC this occurred in 1981. 27 years is a long time to still bring this issue up.
Why?
Is 1933 to 1945 too long a time to bring up the the attrocities committed by Hitler's SS to the Jews, Gypsies and Pols in Europe?
What exactly happen with Eddie Pacheco?
He participated in a consiracy that defrauded hermanos and other people from their money by making false claims of getting cars at a discount, a vast discount.
Was it Eddie that performed the scam
Mr. Pacheco made presentations in different apostolic churches, using his position as minister and pastor to gain access to congregations. He made the presentations with his cohorts, also recieved money from his victims. Most either cashiers checks, money orders and cash.
or was it the company he worked for?
He officially worked for the Apostolic Assembly, as a full time pastor of the church in Fontana, CA. I need to reference my notes as to the name of the shell company the conspirators used. Its on the record with the Criminal Court of Maricopa County, Arizona.
What was his role in the so called car scam?
He was a "presenter" to the congregations, where he solicited the fraudulent scam. He also recieved money in furtherance of this conspiracy.
How do I know? I was present when he made the presentations at the Santa Anita Apostolic Church. I witnessed him making the presentation, witnessed him recieving money.
I hope you going to the media sure solved the problem with the assembly.
The Assembly has many problems. I was approached with a limited scope of questions regarding a portion of those problems with regards to Mr. Pacheco.
Hopefully La Opinion will look into two-vote Eddie's more recent associate - Rogelio Garduno Alvarez. 'Elder' Pacheco used his position to bring Roger & company to speak with the pastors in the Interior District. Two-vote knew Roger's status - Real Estate License REVOKED - when he took him to speak
The court documents from Roger's case are on AA.info - http://www.apostolicassembly.info/Pacheco's%20Associates.pdf
http://www2.dre.ca.gov/publicasp/pplinfo.asp?License_id=01128552
I wonder how many questionable transactions will be uncovered.
One would think that in 27 years he would have learned something. Well, it looks like he did. He learned he could get away with deceptive practices - all the way onto the General Board.
I hear Hillary is considering him for a post. He'll be doing an internal audit of her campaign ethics.
Henry
Do you have paper work regarding the car scam?
There was a brother at my local church who lost 7k.
Can anyone from AZ get that paperwork?
Atención Pastores – Declaración de Daniel Sánchez. Abril 19, 2008.
(Qué fácil ¿No?
El C.I.D.
¡He Dicho!
Apostolic doctrine is junk. I don't know why so many of you want to stick around.
Bro.Henry:
I understand and can read between the lines of how upset you are.
I, too, saw that list of every single person, their address and date when they were taken by the car scam. I know some people who still have that list.
Although I was not involved in it, I have friends who were. I do not know if the list was issued by the court to each person who was scammed, or by the attorneys, or as a ploy by the scammers to encourage other buyers.
I have tried to get a copy from the people I know who have the list, and believe me, it was long—I’m guessing around 200 names.
They are a little afraid, embarrassed for others to see their name in print, I don’t know. However, if they have one, there must be others who still have it and are willing to make a copy.
There is so much animosity toward Edward Pacheco for that scam and more recently with the real estate scam.
How he became a Pastor and a Board Member without supervising any district, I cannot explain. I do know that it happened under the Baldemar reign.
My resentment is that Baldemar ‘made’ or qualified Valverde and Pacheco.
He knew the backgrounds and history of improprieties of these two men, and appointed them over and above legitimate votes of the Pastors. He just unleashed them to the next administration to continue to exploit the AA.
My question is, why does Baldemar now turn around and sue the very men he appointed? He knew who they were. He knew what they had done.
Many of us feel betrayed by him, how can we trust that he can justly sue the Assembly that includes the very men he put there?
What affects you about Pacheco and his scams, I can understand. I feel the same way about Baldemar, who was responsible for keeping these men in power.
I guess this is an administrative tree that is a wreath. For big favors owed to the relatives of those men, Baldemar resorted to repaying those families by keeping their men in power.
Now he turns around and sues them for fraudulent elections, although they are doing just what he taught them.
Re: Pacheco: How he became a Pastor and a Board Member without supervising any district.
He was sent as a Missionary to Chile and automatically became a Bishop.
Henry
What kind of magazine is La opinion? is it credible or more like a tabloid? What is La Opinion going to do about something that happened many years ago? If Brother Pacheco committed these scams as you say then why not take him to civil court? And if there was a statute of limitation then why was he not taken to civil court before the expired time?
If these people did not take him to civil court, then why are you so concerned about him now?
I am not saying this is the case, but it sures seems like people are trying to settle a personal vendetta. According to APWC, the guy was not investigated or convicted. Henry do you have access to any records of Edward Pacheco going to civil court over the matter?
Anyway, I guess if he was really guilty there could of been a better way to get justice other than La opinion which I hope is not a Spanish Tabloid.
Wally
about the Edward Pacheco scam - i find it very interesting that we continue to discuss the topic or any other news for that matter. it seems to me that we are all talk and no action, if change is really what we want, then take action, if we want Pacheco held accountable, well take action, ask him - if he is a man of integrity we will admit that he was wrong and life will go on.
Wally:
As for La Opinion, I could make representations about the newspaper, but I feel it would be better for you to conduct your own research into the newspaper. Any statement I make about it might be percieved as biased.
As for a seeking a civil suit, again the statute of limitations has expired. Many of the victims are God fearing Apostolics, who were taught by their leaders to avoid going to court. Many, such as my parents did seek out Mr. Pacheco, but were not successful because he neither responded by opening the door at his house, nor to written letters sent to his residence and church. Nor did he return phone calls.
Many left it at that. Others, in Arizona, saught criminal prosecution and were successful with only a few of the co-conspirators. Being prosecuted in Arizona Superior Court, they could not prosecute Mr Pacheco, since he was domiciled in California and soon after, the Republic of Chile, whom did not have an "extradiction treaty" with the United States, had the US Attorney Prosecuted him.
Bernice Salcido, et all, who were prosecuted, made sure to keep their silence regarding other co-conspirators.
You can reference the Maricopa Superior Court Records to verify this.
Anybody hear about Mark Amin getting booted from his church in Bakersfield ?
I HEARD FROM A MEMBER IN THE ODESSA CHURCH THAT I KEEP IN CONTACT WITH THAT PASTOR ARREOLA HAD ANNOUNCED THAT ALL THE ASAMBLEA PROBLEMS WERE RESOLVED AND THAT THE LAWSUIT HAD COME TO A HALT. HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? HERE IN CALIFORNIA WE HAVEN'T HEARD THAT.
to apostolic blood...
your contact in odessa either heard wrong or pastor arreola misspoke, regardless that remark is far from the truth. the case continues because the gb has decided to remove the plaintiffs but were told from their counsel not to touch them until the appeal case is settled. so the saga still continues
as the drudge report posts... developing...
I know of several people who were not apostolic but got involved in the Pacheco car scam. They wanted to take him to court, but they couldn't find him.
Baldemar had packed him off to Chile where there is no extradition, and he became an overnight missionary and a Bishop by default.
With his history, that would have never happened in the U.S.
What would have happened to Pacheco if Baldemar had not sent him to Chile?
That is a question that will haunt those who were scammed and the relatives who still live with the loss.
If everyone continues to hold Pacheco accountable for his theft, why isn't Baldemar accountable as aiding and abetting a would be fugitive?
Baldemar had to know what had happened to so many unsuspecting members of the church, and even to churches who, in all confidence, gave Pacheco money, thinking that they were going to get some nice church vans.
No, brothers and sisters, when justice has not be done, the crime, its repercussions, the victims and their pain, never goes away.
one question to apostolicanalyst,
Did Baldemar do something to you, or a family member. You sound awful angry and bitter against him. Just curious.
Mark Amin is still in Bakersfield. More gossip, more dumbness of the mind. Mark Amin is the bestest minister Bishop Duarte has. Thats why Mark bought Abel Duarte a house. Abel Duarte is not a Doctor of thelology and him and Mark Amin will have the first Mega Church in Bakersfield.
Sam,
You say all this as if you were a credible source.
Everything that you post in here is nothing but foolishness and you need to learn how to spell as well.
So far you have shown that you dont know much and just like to argue for kicks.
Why would anyone take you seriously ?
This is another fine example why The Assembly is in trouble. We spread more "gossip" than "gospel". More "error" than "truth". And more "dissension" than "agreement".
Sam:
Edification. I'm glad you asked for it. Paul told the Thessalonians,"For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe". I Thess 2:13. The Word of God is the active agent for change, maturity and transformation. When you remove this all your are is emotional, not spiritual. Your Assembly has done a great job of making you a crying, jumping and shouting emotional misfit. There is no real substance to your doctrine.
The Holy Ghost moves a person into a sanctified life, not a crying, jumping and shouting fanatic. What you call the Holy Ghost, is really your emotions validating that you can't think. Remember, Jesus said," To love the Lord your God with all of your mind". Matt 22:37
Sammy,
I still own you. Let me refrace that. Timo still owns you. I see you walking behind him at church following like a beaten down dog. Get off the bloggs fool, stick to Timo and his peeps. Oh by the way, has Timo's girfriend told you off yet? LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! Dumb ..ss!
You don't even know where "fire shut up in my bones!" is found in the Bible dumb ..ss! Besides when I see you jumping in church, that's NOT the Holy Ghost! You're just jumping because Timo walks in the room.
When we want a civil government leader to "hear" our point of view we bombard them with emails, telephone calls, send snail mail, etc. to these people. Does anyone think that they will eventually get tired of receiving messages and they will actually hear us out? It may be worth a try. What do you people think? We pay money to our churches, who in turn have to pay money to the GB. I think that we have earned a little of their time. If anything it may at least annoy them.
